Hi, I'm new! (To DDR and this guild, that is.)
Since I first heard of DDR: Mario Mix, I had been going to my friend's house to play DDR about once a week. Needless to say, I sucked. My only console is the gamecube, by the way.
So now I have DDRMM--and am terribly addicted. It's really a great game for beginners, now I can do a couple songs on standard mode in the real DDR XD.

Oh! Right...I'm 15 years old, female, American and not particularly proud biggrin

Hey, ppl, I'm a 20-year-old male in Baltimore, Maryland (USA) and I just started playing DDR 5 days ago. A friend of mine and I have been playing everyday since Thursday. I've always been curious about it and was definitely interested when I saw people on TV shows and online actually dancing while playing DDR. I must say that I am hooked. I've been playing DDRMAX the most, but I started playing Extreme 2 today and it's pretty good. I love DDR mainly because it's a great alternative to the gym. Now, I like going to the gym and working out and whatnot, but DDR is much more fun. But the scary part is that no matter how tired I might be or how much pain I might be in, I still don't want to stop playing. But eventually I do because the fatique causes me to suck really badly. And then there's that pesky little thing called school work (I'm a college student). I'm still kind of a beginner, but I like to think of myself as an intermediate-beginner. I can show off a little bit and still get B's and higher, and I'm even bold enough to try some songs on standard (yeah, standard might not sound like much, but certain songs are evil on standard for a beginner). I have quite a few favorite songs including: Rhythm and Police, Groove 2001, Take Me To The Morning Light, Exotic Ethnic, and Matsuri Japan. Sadly though, the pad and games I have are borrowed, so I can't get too attached. Whenever the person I borrowed the stuff from asks for it back I have to say "bu bye"...until I buy my own, that is. And I assure you, I will.

Seems like a lot of people are just getting into DDR like me. =o

Anyway, Hi, My name is Ilse. I am a 14 year old female and I live in Richmond, Virginia! I've been playing DDR a lot since about the beginning of August. I have the home version of DDRMAX2 (7th mix) and I still want more. xD I like to go to places like Putt Putt Golf n'Games or the Commons mall to play DDR on weekends or school nights. So.. I have been playing for like 3 months now, but I started going to arcades about a month ago. I love metal pads the most. Merh. Uhmm, I play Standard, Heavy, and Challenging. The most easiest for me is to do it on x2. The highest score on a Challenging song I ever got was like a B playing "Kind Lady (Interlude)" I'm not very good yet.. but I think I am pretty good since I've only been playing DDR for 3 months. Before that though, I was playing FFR for like 4-5 months. I am a DDR Freak. xP

Considering you've only been playing for a few months, that's pretty good. I didn't move on to Standard for about 4 months after I started. Then again, I refused to touch Standard until I could do absolutely everything on Light without thinking, which resulted in me spending 3 weeks on Standard, and moving straight to Heavy. xd

Hehe. Yeah.. and I also just recently discovered that I'm better at dancing when the speed is on x2. <3
My little brother is better than me though, I have to say...

Hello, the names' Rii. I suppose you'll catch me around talking about something that seems non-important. And..Uhh...I love DDR? More importantly, I've only been playing DDR for about 6 months now.

So.....what can I do?

Just about everything on Heavy, a great majority of Oni, and all of standard.
Fav. DDR song- A ; It's the first song I play each time I'm at a machine.

I do have a few friends that play the game with me, but all the machines in the area are being thrown out for Extreme 2 [ gonk Noooooooooooooooo!!]

Leaving me with only Stepmania.

Well, that's the tip of my DDR life, I suppose anything else you can ask me about.

I'm Jon, I'm 19 and I go to the University of Illinois. I've been playing for just over a year (17 months?) and I can pass all 10s except PSMO. I also play Pump It Up and In The Groove since they installed them at the Union.

I'm terrible at PA and more interested in just passing the hard songs.
