"I don't like the idea of loaded guns unless I'm the one shooting them." I said, wondering who could have been stupid enough to shoot one at this time of night, were they killing someone? were they settling a fight? Who knows.

"You think?" I said, puzzled, "Ohh! what's happening?" I asked. straightening my posture, I listened more intently to what was happening, but they were out of range. Then another thought hit, "Shane? How will we know if Alex is going to get out? Will you be able to hear her thoughts?"

"Well, she seemed really angry at Alex, I could hear her screaming, 'Alex I hate you! I never want to see you again!!" why would she feel that way? Just because ALex doesn't want to hurt her while she can't control herself? I don't get it."

"You won't have to ask twice." I laughed at the way gravity tugged on him. " Where are you going? I'll stay and guard the fort while you probably go see your father and May, make sure she's okay for me." I smiled.

I laughed at his comment, "It's because yo haven't slept," I practicaly sang, " Just set her down, I'm sure that she'll have a fit if you hold her too long, unless she's tired."

"Well, I have to sleep sometime too. So when I do, then you can too. That shouldn't be too long from now, so you should be fine. But if Alex comes out of there, I am going to bite you so that I can fight her off. Just a warning."

"Rest, you'll need it." I said softly to him, brushing my fingers against his arm. Looking at the entrance of the mausoleum, I added energy to the passageways that led to the room where Alex was locked inside.

In E's dreams, he saw something up ahead. An area that seemed to be completely black. There seemed to be no walls, floors or ceilings. No physical objects in this plain. Yet, he was somehow able to stand. But he found himself unable to move.

Before him, he saw the darkness. Which oddly enough, seemed to be a mix of sky and the deep sea. Something was coming from the darkness of this abyss. Then he saw it, as the figure came into his sight. A giant fish of nightmarish size. Being attacked by a number of creatures. Who vaguely resembled the common Earth image of what an alien looked like. Only, there were several differences about them. They were bigger, stronger. More formidable looking. Than any tale had made then. One top of that. The creatures bodies were pure black with white eyes.

Above him, he saw two figures squaring off. One was holding an orb. Which shone with all of the colors of the sun. A pure light that gave off a sort of warmth. The other, was holding an orb. That was black as night. It gave off a sort of maddening hatred. That seemed to fuel him. It made him stronger. This was the same feeling he had felt just recently before he collapsed. E knew he was dreaming. He knew what he was seeing wasn't real. Yet, it was not out of the question. That what he was experiencing with a premonition. But if it was. Then, was this something from the past. Or the future? He couldn't not tell. He could not discern between the two. It was too far out of his grasp. Such a thing was too grand for his mind to fathom. How could such a huge fish even exist? What was this that he was feeling? Was it fear? Or was it hope? At the moment. It seemed that he was feeling both. Looking at the battle above.

Then, he felt the presence of someone behind him. An elderly man, floating in mid air. Wearing a brown cloak. At least they looked like an elderly man. But how could a human float such as this one was doing. No, there presence was unmistakable. He was face to face with a god. Then, the one in the brown cloak spoke to him.

???- What you are seeing now. Is the past battle that was waged. The fish and the one holding the light orb. Fought for the side of good.

While the one holding the dark orb. Along with the army over yonder.

He pointed over to the hoard of aliens that were attacking the fish. As the creature whipped its tail violently fending them off with teeth and fin.

It is imperative that you understand. It is imperative that you forsake the gift you were given. It will not bring you power. It will not help you fulfill your goal of peace. It will only fill you with a rage. Blinding you from the true enemy. Soon you will find yourself worse than the Dark Vampire Slayer. Not one fulfilling your own end. But just a monster. With filthy blood lust for human souls.

You shall lash out. In your pursuit for power. Becoming a beast. Then you too shall become the hunted.

The old man held out his hand.

???- Give me your hand. I shall save you for this darkness. I too once sought to attain its power. But you have only been granted a small fraction of the orb. Its nothing compared to what it can really do. Its not for the hands of humans or gods. That the orb be in anyone's hands. Only a pure soul could control it. Only to be corrupted eventually.

E looked at the old man oddly. Not knowing what to make of him. He was surely dreaming at this point. Yet, someone was speaking to him. Was this just a figment of his imagination? He could not tell. But none the less. He took hold of the mans hand. Seeing a light start to form in his own hand. The dark light lifted out of E's hand. Floating over near the old man. The, with a swipe of his hand. The dark light vanished. Like it had been deleted where it stood.

The the Old Man turned away from E. Saying only a few words.

???- Go home!!

After that, Vampire Slayer E. Awoke from his dream. Opening his eyes slowly. He felt refreshed. Though, there was a light ringing in his ear. He sat up. Looking around, then he looked at the one with the gun. With blank eyes. Not knowing what to make of them brandishing a weapon. Was it for him?

It most assuredly had to be for him. Why else would someone have a weapon in this area. There were no friends in this area for him. He was sure that his outburst. Had cost him the small alliance that he had. For a short moment with the Vampires. He somehow, felt that he didn't deserve there forgiveness. But at the same time.

He also had nothing to fear from there weapon. His anger had been what had gotten him in hot water before. He would not allow that to happen twice. So, he stood up. Brushing off his pants. Then, E grabbed ahold of his hat. Placing it on his head. He would have to find a place to stay. Now that he did not have an allegiance with the Hunters or Vampires.
