BiccyDash Whats starch? it's a type of suger no? Nah, plants use it to make sugar I think... But my days of biology are fading. I am sure that it is not a sugar in itself though. And I do know that Iodine turns it blue.

Yes, it is a type of sugar, it's a polysaccharide, which means it's made of more than two of the basic sugar components. It has a fairly simple structure as well, with very few branches. This means that it is easily digestible by the body, and can provide a lot of energy. EDIT: Stupid Gaia, I posted this then left for dinner, but when I came back it hadn't loaded.
