Ke'Nel watched the tow visitors come and go, and then wondered why they hadn't notice Taria or Aurora. He thought nothign of it. His spels were mostly drained, but thanks to all his Nelphean hunting, he was as strong as ever. He sang an elvish lullaby, and continued to put the window togther, piece by piece.
The imp frowned, but didn't really care to tell the truth. "What ever keeps Mephetos' stomach full works for me."

Ecara now held Soulforge in her hands, holding it up against Nelfien. A few steps forward and she touched the fiery blade to Durandal. Instead of striking she merely crossed the two pieces of metal. The tip of Soulforge laid against the middle of Durandal as she simply held it. "Illyandria."
Eclipse cautiously walked up to Aurahkah, joining her at her side the both of them no more than two feet from the two before them. "What is she doing?"
She merely shook her head."I..I don't know...it's like she knows something we don't." Perhaps the child did. No one really knew what went on in the girls head.

"A good decision, Mephetos. Now then, lets get started..." A book openned up and lay down on a pedestal that had been set in here for his work, and pages flipped by themselves until they came upon something specific, the binding of a familiar. With a bit of a smile, he looked down on it as it was still held to the table. "This may hurt. And when its done, youll be in part of Johnavon's mind. Do try to avoid ending up like the Fallen, it would be a waste of a servant." Somewhere deep inside his head he could still feel the Fallen, rattling around in fresh chains and he laughed more, planning to drag that wretched soul back with him when he left his body behind once more. Then he began work on the spell, and was not exactly gentle with Mephetos' binding.
((Fade to black. Im done.))

Nelfien stood still for a moment, hearing the voice in his head, the child-like innocence of his past... Illyandria... Durandal found himself impaled into the ground with his blade half way into the rock that just had to be in the right spot. The blade shriked out, but no one could hear him... Only the wielder of Durandal could here him... The sword felt abandoned...
Nelfien fell to his knees, and took of his helmet, the face of Nelphean stared down on Illyandria. "You have saved me, child." His hand moved forward, and touched her check. He gazed into her eyes with a very child-like gaze. Nelfien almost embraced the girl, but stoped when he realised that he was covered with the blood of the men he killed. "I am sorry Illyandria, but I must go now... I really hope that I will get to see you again, sister." He rose to his feet, and left the city from the direction he came. He meet his princess on the road, and to her amazement the city still stood.
"Where is your sword?"
"I lost it."

Her ears perked up as she lowered Soulforge, which had lost its fire now, and gave out a giggle as she turned to her parents. "All better." Setting the blade gently down she clasped her hands behind her back and rocked on her heels.
A confused look was given between Aura and Eclipse before Aura reached down and picked Ecara up hugging the child. "That was amazing...how did you do that?" She ruffled Ecara's hair then picked up Soulforge, slipping it back into her belt in the place it usually took. Aura shook her head and looked to Eclipse. "We should stay here for the night. I'm sure Kian will let us stay with him...after we explain a few things."
"What about the sword?" He was circling it, and wasn't too comfortable leaving it behind.
"Leave it for now, we'll worry about it in the morning. You're not to touch it, now come one." Turning from the sword she made her way back to Kian's.
One final snort at the sword and he turned following suit.

Cymarron for his part, nearly completely exhausted, and starving for the meat of an intelligent being, dragged himself back to his den..neverminding any damage to it. he just wanted to rest, if the leash holder would let him, and he laid on his bedding in silence.
Malik D'vinn stared at his image in the full length mirror, the permenant reminder not only of his hate, but his heritage. he'd been nine when the 'curse of the D'vinn' had found them, and slaughtered them. he could hear the roars in his dreams, and his mother screaming, his bother's gurgling blood. he coudl feel that maw and those claws rip open his body. He stood naked before the mirror, his body a patchwork of angry white scars over indigo flesh. he had no genitalia, that being removed when he was attacked, and the left half of his face was barely recognizable as a face, with the eye missing. Only luck had saved him. luck in the form of a cleric that had come there for advice from his mother on a deal. He put on his green robe, the last thing his father wore, he still left the bloodstains, and sat down in a seat, fingering the guantlet on his right hand.
"Soon enough, you'll be back where you belong."

Sleeping, dreaming, ever disheartened, Nelphean slept away the hours, until four had passed since he collapsed. His chest hurt, but not from the wound... He felt guilty about bringing this upon the manor, it was his soul fault that they had come, and it was his fault for remaining in the manor that they had to fight the devils. It was Nelphean's fault that those he loved were placed directly in Harms way. The elf stood, and looked about the infermry, and fell back onto the bed. He lay very still, almost unable to move, the weight of the world fully pressing against his tired and aching limbs. He replayed the long battle in his mind, and noted how badly he would have been beaten if that went on much longer. He only managed to kill one of the fiends, and not even the right one...
Tears rolled over his eyes, on falling to each side of his face, and he pictured the destruction of the manor...
Urieal walked into the infermry, and stood near the awake elf, and watched the creature foolishly accuse himself of brigning this fate upon the manor. Urieal hated that self imposed guilt. Had Nelphean wandered away from the manor, and Bastet had know of the comming evil, they both would have died. The angelic being walked beside the bed, and scolded the elf, "You can never hold yourself responsible for the actions of outsiders."
"I betrayed her, and brought this fate upon us."
"You did, didn't you." Urieal whipped off his blades, two claws that errected from his gauntlets, long and curved. "Heaven came to your resque."
"How many died?"
"Only the candles, who died for you, and for Tallfellow."
The elf smiled, "Brave, as they should be."
"Wizard, without you they would have never know life, don't pity their lose, for every moment was only gain. Pity those who lived, who must now come to terms with a life without them. Then again, who likes people who cry for the living." Urieal removed his weapons, and placed them in their odd looking scabbords. "Azaireal sent me here to help you, that Archangel ahd been watching over you since you arrived, with that devil's gaze upon you. Azaireal saw that she was obessed, and made plans to counter hers, except he realized that she would wait until the angels were busy, defending the gates of heaven from the large strike force she had inspired to go against them. Azaireal would have fought for you, had he could."
"Who are you?"
Urieal laughed, "I am that which once was dark, but now is light. I have spent my whole life hunting the warrrior Serafor, but now finds his peace fighting for the archangels. I am not a celestial by birth, but I am by rite." Urieal placed a claws hand on Nelphean's chest. "It will heal, and their is no evil in it." Then, the servent of heaven disappeared.

The two guards and the one villager who had been slaughtered at the hands of Nelfien, were already only a memory that was brought up only by the mention of fresh graves. Two new guards, now stood outside. Needless to say the explanation given to both Kian and the town was long, and full of questions. But in the end it was all sorted out, and surprisingly enough Aura and company had been invited back.
Now riding swiftly atop Serino across the fields and through the canyon, on to fields again and then forest, Aura, Ecara, and Eclipse made their way home. Slung across her shoulder and back was Durandal, bound in heavy cloth. Her better instincts told her to leave it behind, but her others told her to take the prize and just be careful. That side always won. And in her belt, among her sais was the brilliantly restored Soulforge, bearing it's phoenix once again but now also it's original owner's name over top the bird.
Trees were thinning again as they knew the manor was nearing. Then Serino cleared the tree line. And Aurahkah almost fell off the horse from the sight that met her eyes. Mouth agape she stared at what she was hoping wasn't her manor, but knew it was. Her front iron wrought gates...gone. Uprooted trees nearby, her phoenix etched doors looking in horrible shape.
"What in the name of every God and every Hell happened here!?" Her voice echoed off the manor and the surrounding trees, even a few birds in the nearby trees went flying. Aura closed her eyes and shook her head. "Coban...is going to kill me...I feel faint..."

Talon and Claw herd the shout from a female voice, and looked at each other. "That must be Aurahkah..." The duet walked away from the wreakage of Monolith, and took a short flight to the gates, to see the heir of the manor. Standing tall, about seven feet high, with avian features for the upper half of their body, but lion-like legs and tails at the lower half. The each wore chaimail armour and had quivers that were empty, and curved shamshir (scimitar) swords on their hips.
"Hello, good travellers." Claw greated.
"Claw, they are the owners." Talon corrected.
"Well, Talon, How are we to be sure, she scremed at the sight of a ruined manor, we can't just expect that only the owner would fret. Wouldn't you be upset if you came home to find this beloved place in such disrepair." Claw conversed.

Dismounting Serino, pulling Ecara down with her and holding the child, Eclipse sliding off in suit. She swiftly strode up to the two, not really caring who or what they were doing here. And the anger was clear in her dark eyes. "Stop babbling among yourselves, and tell me what in all the worlds and planes and the like happened to this place. I left it in prefect peace and come back to this...I want some answers and I want them now!"
Eclipse padded up to stand at her side when she had stopped before the two. "Forgive her yel-" He ducked at a swat from Aurahkah was sent his way. "Okay, maybe answers would be best put forward first."
She thought it was funny. And merely gave a giggle as her mother continued her yelling at the two who towered over her in size.

"The devils attacked while you were out, I guess... and they made a real mess of the place out here... Don't know much about the insides.. Haven't been in since I was born." Talon offered.
"Nelphean is somewhere inside, I think." Claw looked towards the battered door, "We almost kept the damage to a minimum, but then they had to throw the metal giant into the doors."
"Rain had a nice flight, but he is a better pilot when he has a ship with wings." Talon smiled softly, "The cat-girl almost had her head smashed in. Missed by a few inches."
"Ke'Nel might also be able to fill in the blanks, we were defeated rather early in the brawl." Claw shruged.
"Sorry that we were unable to better serve your manor, mistress."

Clenching her fist to resist a scream of complete anger Aura turned away from the duo to look to the wind horse still present. "Serino, could you stick around for a while longer please?" Then she turned back to them. "Well I guess that helps a little..." Adjusting Ecara in her arms she headed into the manor. The damage that met her eyes on the inside almost made her have that urge to faint a second time. Coban was definitely going to kill her... "This is why I shouldn't leave." Aura came to a stop in the great hall, just looking at all the damage that could easily be seen from that central point. The room wings...they're walls had seen better days, the kitchen...well what kitchen, there was no kitchen. Giving an exasperated sigh she tilted her head to the side as she spotted three people she didn't even recognize, sleeping in her great hall. Setting Ecara down she strolled over to them, standing above all three very quietly for a moment, hands on her hips. "You three wake up this instant!"
Outside, Eclipse and Serino shared a look. Then Eclipse laughed, despite it all. She really was over reacting. "Come on Serino, you don't need to stay outside." A look then went to Talon and Claw. "Well despite her attitude, thank you for defending the manor. I know you did your best." A nod to them then he too walked into the manor, Serino only a few steps behind him.

Kellendel kept sleeping, but the other two leaped up imediatly. Rain drew his side arm and pointed it at the speaker, but realising the futility of it, he put it back. He spoke to her an an acient dialect of elvish that was older than Aurahkah.
Xail also looked rather feverish upon his un-wanted awakened state, but looked at her posed and easily understood that she was really upset over somthing... Looking about the room, the freeloader understood. He woke up the mage, who was the only one of the three that could talk to her.
Kellendel tried to stay asleep, but the constant nudging from Xail woke him... He looked at the manorite, and smiled. "Hello there." He said rather calmly, "What is all the fuss?"

The casual tone that they all shared just made her all the more angry. "Care to tell me what the hell happened in here, and with a little more to add to the story than what I got outside, and who the hell are you three anyway?" Gracious hostess? She was taking a break.
Ecara was now weaving among the three, sniffing them out, trying to figure out who they were on her own, finding no luck she returned to her mother, and returned to the occasional giggle from Aura's tone.

Kellendel gazed at the girl, and noticed the abnormality of her, but looked back at Aurahkah and guestured, trying to think of how to best aswer the question, the easiest answe rwas probably the best. "Rain, and I are Nelphean's friends, coem here to help fight his fiendish foes. Xail," Kellendel pointed to the bald man, "is my bodyguard." Kellendel thought he forgot something, but realised he never introduced himself. "I am the great and all powerful archmage of Advoneria! Kellendel!" He said rather joyously. He was very cheery, despite having his doom standing before him.
"We fought in the Battle of The Front, defending the doors and gates from the onslaught of the devil army. WE managed to hold them with the aid of General Tallfellow for a while until we were pushed back into the manor." Kellendel paused, "Rain's Warwalker was tossed through the doors, and trees were uprooted, brave ents that they were... Most of the candles perished, but we managed to keep the most of the army out." Kellendel pointed to some of the scourch marks. "Some devils transported themselves into the manor and fought with the inhabitants, trying to keep them from getting to Nelphean, who now lays mostly dead in the infermery... with a Cat-woman, I believe Nelly called her Bastet. Ke'Nel went somewhere... so he is around, and that is about all I know. Nelphean never reported back to us."
