He was always swift as the wind, perhaps faster than most horses...but that was to be expected. Serino never needed any direction either, the reins he wore being only for his riders benefit to hold on. Having already broken the tree line he sped across the open fields now. A Sharp turn to his right to change direction as he sped into what were the beginnings of a canyon. That canyon path was traversed all to easily, and he was back out into an open field, across which could be seen settled in it a rather old style town. Looked like it hadn't caught up to the rest of the world. In fact it hadn't, and it liked it that way. Serino slowed from his high speed gallop and stopped in the tall grass a good two miles from the place.
Aura slid off the creature, pulling Ecara off with her. Placing her hands on the child she smiled to her. "I'm just going to change your looks for a little while, then you can be yourself again. Myself as well, and Eclipse." At the child's nod, she whispered a few words. Her hands were brought to herself and then laid to Eclipse in the same manner with the same succession of words. Pulling back her hood revealed blond hair, her eyes green and her complexion fair. Reaching down she pushed back Ecara's hood, to reveal a child who's hair had turned strawberry blond and both eyes had shifted to a matching green, her complexion just as fair.
Eclipse gave a snort as her surveyed them and then himself. No longer blue and winged but now a rather brown and cream. No longer the vicious looking wolf but just a ordinary large dog with a beaten old red leather collar...to which Ecara was holding the leash. "Leash? Didn't ever use a leash before. And for the love of people, don't ever go blond."
"Shut up, you get a leash to be convincing." She turned a smile from Eclipse to one on Serino. "Thank you my friend, mind if we call on you again for a ride back, you know you're the only one who knows the way here." Another nuzzle to the shoulder in acceptance of the request and Serino shook his head before turning and walking slowly off, leaving the three to trek the rest of the way themselves in their guises. A tug to Ecara's hand. "Come on."
"This is humiliating."
"No it's not. Besides, we won't be here long."

"Kill them all." Shez'Golith ordered into her mirror, as she and the remainder of her forces entered into the battlefield...
At the telepathic command, the hellcat roared very loudly, and charged at the seemingly helpless girl. His thoughts of victory and appeasement drew him onto her like the rush of a wave...
Outside the manor, the cornugon was fighting the two arial defenders with some level of supremicy. The dragon-like being toyed with the much smaller and less dangerous gargoyles as he literally played with the duet. Using many of his spell-like powers to create large sphere of energy that exploded with colourful light, each one devoted to an energey that was represented by the colour... Blue lightning, red fire, green acid, and many more enegergies littered the sky. The two gargoyles were severly pressed, but they continued to fight the battle. They were brought to life by Nelphean, they would lose that life in his defence.
Though the sky battle was loud, and bright, from inside the manor and the courtyard none of it could be seen or heard, the devils had errected a barrier of sorts, and an illusion that created the natural everyday life of the manor's grounds. The sphere contained the sounds of the manor, and prevented the images and sounds from outside to enter.

At the angle he came after Bastet, she had to jump sideways out of the way in order to avoid him. He had been playing with her, stalking around her and finally for some reason made his move. She heard nothing else going on, there was only quiet and darkness surrounding the beast and her. After her graceful jump she rolled to the side and faced the animal's back her sai drawn and ready. She decided to take the offense and launched a sai at his side keeping the other one defensively in front of her.

The bezekira felt the sharp point enter his side, but he ignored the pain, and put all his weight on his front paws and kicked out at Bastet with his rear claws. After which, he pounced forward, off the far wall and back facing Bastet. His purr deepend, and he crouched low, read to pounce again. Still playing with the girl, trying to make this as frightening a kill as posible. The fear is what made killing mortals more pleasurable than anything else.

Cymarron had finally given up trying to wake Nailah for her alcohol enforced sleep, and with a grumble, moved out of her room, and down the hall. frustration of course brought him to a slight temper, combined with lack of sleep.
"she tells Cymarron they will talk later...Cymarron tries to find her, and when he does, she's sleeping with wine."
He snorted, flexing his claws lightly, with half a mind to go back in there and rip her curtains down so the sunlight could wake her. but instead, he decided to just wander, and see who else might be about, maybe even meet some more of the manor ghosts.

Cymarron's path was watched from high above, or not so high, as just above. As he wondered imensed in his own thoughts, the sounds of dangling chains could be heard.. many dangling chains...

His ears perked. Chains? who had chains..and the fur bristled on the back of his neck only slightly. but he continued to move, heading toward the main hall, larger space would be good. His claws extended themselves, and he sniffed the air lightly, nostrils flaring, looking for a scent to associate with the sound of chains.

Even from withing the seemingly divide the canyon offered the place, Aura and company stopped among the tall swaying grass as the sounds and colors traveled across the skies. A tug of worry ran through her, but she tried to shake if off. "Which way is the manor?"
Eclipse was looking at what she was as well. "Not that direction...I belive...but who knows what direction that wind horse took us. Directions mean nothing to him. But...no, not that direction. That came on too fast, we would of caught sense of something before we left. Come now, I want to leave this place as soon as possible.
The grass thinned and lowered and all three stepped from the field, hitting a dirt path that lead into the town. As she stepped in past the two guards posted there they gave a slight bow to her and a smile. She smiled back, tick worked well as ever.
Ecara felt the hand on her tighten as she tried for the fifth time in that five minute period they were in the place to get away. She was itching to explore and not being let to, it was rather frustrating.
Another tug to Ecara, to keep her with them. Then she turned, entering one of the old style buildings. This one was rather stuffy and dirty. She looked around a moment before a gruff laugh and voice caught her attention.
"If it isn't Kamilah. Where you been girl? Haven't seen you in ages.Akil too, you old hound." He came into view, wiping his hands on a rag. He was a large man with a scruffy black beard and hair to match. "And who's this little one you have here?"
"She's Cara, my daughter." But Aura spent no time with idle chit chat. "Kian, I need a favor. A sword fixed for me." So saying she pulled out the broken Soulforge and handed it to him. "I just simply can't trust it in any one else's hands but yours."
He examined it carefully, turning it different ways. "Was a fine sword."

"Kira, Im supposed to be protecting you. Not anyone else. And after that amount of power that I..." "I dont care! We cant just be concerned about ourselves as long as were here. Do something! Youre the one who can sesne all of this... at least... damn it, what are we going to do?" "Im not leaving you alone Kira. Its not safe." "I'll be fine, really. Ive learned to take care of myself these days havent I? But you cant expect me to be happy when you waltz in, lock the door, close the blinds and tell me to pray! Whatever's out there is going to come for us too... Now please. Ill stay safe, I promise." "Very well... but this is going to be hard." Johnavon stepped out of his room, the door slamming shut and bolting tight behind him as he looked down the hallway, there was too much evil around to avoid, so he may as well go to face it. "You stay safe too..."

Sitting on the cieling above the foolish Cat, the Kyton released his garggled laugh. His voice sounding like the grinding of rusted metal. He fell from the ceiling and onto the ground, his barbed and edged chains rushed out and swarmed Cymarron, trying to slice him with the edge of the chains, and pierce him with the barbs. The kyton was a master of chain fighting, and his five tenticle like chains whirled about the fleshling.

The lion took the point of her blade almost without notice. The kick was powerful. The sheer weight gave it enough force to do more than unbalance her, yet she did not want to use anything special yet. He was playing with her, thinking this would be an easy kill. One set of claws hitting her sai as the other set tore into her arm. She flew back a few feet, pulling both the sai with her and had to regain her balance, but still held her determination as he faced her. Her eyes were wild and primitive looking as she watched him. How much blood could she lose before she had to heal? That had not been tested... it would be easier if she could heal on her own. She let her bad arm weigh her down on one side as the other came to defend in the same manner. She could play many different games as well.

The bezekira, purred with the sigh of the weakened opponite, and he recalled the warnings about her sense of play, but those were just the ramblings of a scribe, this was not for that paper-pushing panzy to decide. This woman was weak. Weak as a panzy. The hellcat roared once more, and leaped towards the woman, but at the last second, just before he was withing reach of her arm, he landed, and spewed out a breath of flames and acidic myst.
John did not have to walk far before evil found him, sulking along by a nearby door, the skeleton peered at the contemptuious human, he laughed and strieghtened to his normal ten foot height. His tail wisked about from nowhere, as this osyluth stood to meet this challenger, but then he just waved, and pointed behind him, where the sound of a very close roar echoed, but nothing was to be sceen.

The chains moved fast about him, a few of the blades cutting, which elicted a snarl, he turned on his assailant, noting the chains and the barbs. he grinned lightly, flexing his claws, his tail drawing a dagger and whipping around, deflecting blades and barbs from teh chains with unconcious effort..before he rushed the thing, claws swiping for it's face and shoulders, one of his clawed feet moving to a swift kick if the thing tried to jump back out of his claws striking range.

Already hard at work on the blade, he looked over to the woman he knew as Kamilah, talking as he worked, not even having to look at the blade, but going by feel. "Who's was it? I know you don't use long swords...and what was the bird for?"
"It's supposed to be a phoenix. It's called Soulforge and used to belong to a man named Saradin...it got left to me, so I intended to put it to use. In his honor I guess you could say." She paused. "Is it going to cost me any extra for you do redo that phoenix and add something else as well?"
"Please now Kami, no charge. You visit is enough payment for me." He laughed at the look she gave him. "Don't say it, I know, I'm a flatterer."
Ecara sat on the floor, playing with Eclipse. Both of them keeping quiet. Ecara for her lack of involvement in conversation, and Eclipse because normal looking dogs didn't talk.

The kyton accepted the blows, though they did sting and knock him off his feet, but the chains suddenly became more violent, attacking the weapons and slashing towards vital orgains in a pattern that was very apparent, but every few seconds the pattern shifted. The creature did not bleed, and did not faulter, his chians danced about attempting to ensare this beast, but when the five chains seemed ineffective, two more jumped into the frey.
The black rider and his princess came to this strange town, a village that was very old... Too old, Nelfien decided. Jewel sat behind her husband, and almost begged to go in first, she had not made any decient coin in a few sackings and wished to enjoy the company of multiple men... Unable to feel the light touch of the woman behind him, Nelfien started towards the town, noting both guards... Usually Nelfien had to chase down the humans, normally they was no fight... The elf rode the horse right up near the gate, and dismounted, and waited for his lovely princess to be off, and away from the blood. It was too difficult to clean her dress to allow any human blood on it. He turned, and walked calmly towards the guards, then killed one with a single sweep of his longsword. The purple blade glowed under the touch of the blood, the armoured elf turned towards the other guard, "You should go get help." Walking slowly, the elf pondered how much fun this would be.
