Julian landed in front of the Saffron gym and returned Tori to her pokeball. Once that was done he took out his pokegear and quickly sent Chloe a message before entering the gym.
The rookie trainer took his place on the gym room floor before calling out to Sabrina. "Sabrina of Saffron city, I challenge you to a gym battle. Do you accept?" The Hybrid asked with a grin.

"But of course," came the reply from inside the gym. Sabrina rose, holding a hand out before her, a Pokeball levitating in place in front of her. "I've been prepared for your arrival for some time now," she conceeded with a faint smile, summoning her Kadabra before her. The psychic fox Pokemon stood at the ready, spoon outstretched. "We accept your challenge," Sabrina stated.  has accepted Julian's challenge! Julian grinned at Sabrina's acceptance of his challenge. "I'm glad that you have accepted this battle. I will warn you though that I have no intention of losing this match." He told the psychic as he sent out Tori. "Though I am sure you already knew that what with you being psychic and all." He told her with another grin. "Tori, why don't we start things out with a heatwave" He told his pokemon, who responded by soaring into the sky and then sending a torrent of heat at the kadabra as it flapped it's wings, which were now glowing with a reddish orange light.

The electricity hit the bird pokemon hard, causing it to nearly fall. Tori however caught herself in time before hitting the ground. Julian meanwhile gritted his teeth as the familiar sensation of pain went through his body. It felt as if the electricity that had hit Tori was coursing through his blood, but he allowed himself to take little notice of it. He couldn't afford to dwell on the pain if he were to win this match.
Julian took a tentative step forward and raised his arm. "Tori, let's follow up with a Brave Bird." Tori obeyed and flew up as high as it could, closing it's wings and letting it's momentum carry it upward. As it continued to soar higher into the air the pokemon caught fire. She then began a nosedive towards the Kadabra, causing the flames to disappear, leaving behind a blue aura. With that Tori hit the Kadabra straight on and then bounced backward into the air, staying aloft.

After receiving the second jolt of lightening Tori was barely able to stay aloft, but hung in there. Julian wasn't doing much better himself as he fell down to one knee after the second bolt of lightening. "Don't crap out on me now body, we've come too far." He whispered quietly to himself as he struggled back to both feet. "Tori, I know you can't take much more of this abuse, but try finishing off that kadabra with another Brave Bird." He told the bird pokemon, who gladly obliged. Tori wasn't one for just sitting back and taking abuse, so she was more than willing to tae out the pokemon who would dare strike her. She repeated the process of her attack and launched her glowing blue form at the opponent.

Julian's Pokegear would beep back eventually with a response message from Chloe.
Hey! Don't worry about it. I just got really started here in Johto. I managed to beat Pryce! One more badge down. Right now I'm at the Lake of Rage... I really don't know why. Entreri just started acting funny and ran off. I'm actually chasing him down now. Hopefully we can get this resolved soon.
Good luck with Sabrina! She always kinda creeped me out to be honest... But she's a good battler. I know you're better, though. =P
I'll probably be moving on to Blackthorn once I track down this stupid Weavile, so if you wanna hook up there? I'm honestly not sure how long I'll be here at the Lake, so if I'm not in Blackthorn by the time you're done, I'll probably be here!

Julian's body briefly relaxed once the Kadabra went down, but it still ached. When Sabrina sent out her Espeon Julian recalled Tori and grabbed another pokeball from his waist. While he knew that Tor still wanted to fight, he also knew that thins would get much worse for both of them if she continued to do so. So, he instead sent out Ookami. The arcanine grinned as she came out of her pokeball and then looked at the Espeon. For a moment she mistook the pokemon for Hizashi, but then realized she had made a mistake in doing so.
"Okay Ookami, start things off with crunch." He told the fire pokemon as he breathed heavily. Ookami obliged, running at the small espeon in a zigzag pattern and then tackling t, biting as it did so.

It sidestepped, coming up in front of Sabrina once again, waiting for orders. "Use a Psychic, Espeon," Sabrina instructed, and the small psychic was eager to do so. The Espeon released a mental assault on Ookami, psychic energy flaring around it as the Espeon released the blast at the Arcanine.

Ookami's stumbled backward as it was hit by the psychic energies of the Espeon.he attack hadn't hurt Ookami much, but her head was left in agony, causing her to feel somewhat disoriented. JUlian felt the same way, his skull felt as if it were going to split open and his nose began to bleed. He quickly wiped away the blood and ordered Ookami to attack with Flare Blitz. The Arcanine obliged and tackled the eeveelution while it's body was surrounded in flames.
