"Wha---hey, natural instincts have nothing to do with real feelings! And I'll bet you only imagined her calling your name. When did you even give your name to her?" She threw off the awkward feeling of missing him point-blank range and threw another powered-up energy ball at him. Obviously, brute force was too risky against this guy.
It was a good thing Knuckles was trained in the magic of Chaos Energy.
