*shrug* I'm still done planning events and doing special things for the guild. The charity I won't stop with, but no more special events or anything. Except for that which is specifically aimed at the charity. And then, all of it will be held at the charity or in public Gaia forums. I am going to be taking back my guild, so for those of you who receive a ban notice, feel free to just delete it.

Lots of threads deleted. [33 of them.] If no posts had been made since mid-April, it's gone. I left a couple here and there that I think will have good discussion later, but other than that, they're all gone.

Today, to fix issues concerning what goes where, I will be updating the sub forum descriptions. You will be able to find them here when I'm completed, in the Triquetra, in each sub-forum, and in the help sub-forum in the post about what goes where.
You need to remember, this is part of the Three Strikes Rule, you place your topic where it is primarily focused, if we have to move it, you get a warning [yes, we keep track]. As in, I may want extended discussion [i.e. explanations and proof], but the focus is on giving me aid, or helping me give aid to another person, not the discussion. That would mean my topic goes in the help subforum, as it's focus is "help" not extended discussion.

Hmm... You know what people? I think this guild need something to make it a bit more lively. I know it's easy to say, and I honestly don't have any good ideas myself, but still. I'm sure you already are aware of this and don't need me pointing it out, but still...

Duncan-So many different things have been thought up and tried to help this guild get livelier.....it doesn't work if nobody wants to participate which is what I know that I've seen.....or at least how it's come across to me. And really, it's just upsetting. I understand the reasons why Chels is done planning stuff for the guild-it's because nobody cares. I've seen how hard she's worked to try to get this place running and get more people active, but 1. It's HARD. and time consuming!!!! 2. People have to be willing to come and participate in the planned events, and a lot of people just......aren't. 3. It really DOES NOT HELP when people break the rules or just plain and simply don't read them and end up screwing a lot of things up for everyone.
In all honesty, I commend Chels for all she's done for the guild, and even partially in her decision to stop trying. Because, in all honesty, what's the use if it's just her and a select few trying? And then, after that fact, it seems like people attempt to treat her like she has no idea what she's doing. It makes me sad. crying Running this guild is a hard job!!!!!! I know that I personally wouldn't want to be in her shoes, but I do still try to help in whatever way possible, because without at least someone helping, it would be nearly impossible.
So........thank you Chels. biggrin I appreciate ya.

Duncan_the_Soulknight Hmm... You know what people? I think this guild need something to make it a bit more lively. I know it's easy to say, and I honestly don't have any good ideas myself, but still. I'm sure you already are aware of this and don't need me pointing it out, but still... Well. Let's see, here's what I've done to make this guild livelier: 1) Guild anniversary party, including contests, giveaways, and such. 2) Created a guild charity. 3) Created two advertisement threads, with Tanya's assistance. 4) Made the guild broader, created sub-forums to attract a wider variety of people, so everyone has somewhere to hang in the guild. 5) Planned a lotto, to gain funds to do more contests for the guild. 6) Am planning a summer solstice party, including giveaways of items, gold, art, and divination services. 7) Am thinking of a guild mall, a price guide, and have created a guide to the guides of gaia, for quick access for guild members. 8] Am planning a very large charity function ball for the guild and the charity coming in October. 9) I have also sent notices to guild members who have not been active, and plan on doing another run through the guild members this week. And one every three months there after. Or, at least, that was the plan. The people who did not become more active after these notices become banned. We want active people, not lumps on a log. 10) Have attempted to post crazy goofy things to get people to chat, have worked on getting more discussion in the guild while culling out the idiocy and arguments, to no avail. I have created rules and contests, a referral program, and a whole lot more to generate more interest in this guild. The guild has done everything it can to spike the interest of the members. It is the members that sit and do nothing. It is the members of this guild that drag it down and then complain to ME that I am not doing my job. I am sorry, but I have spent HOURS preparing all kinds of things for this place, have spent MY HARD EARNED MONEY buying letters to buy things for YOU GUYS and for the charity designed to put this guild into the eyes of the public and show we are about more than just magic, to get people to see us as a true and serious guild, and to get more members. To get insulted, brought down, and complained at. To be told to make a place more livelier and think up more things and work harder to make it better. WHEN NO ONE DOES ANYTHING TO HELP. Oh yes, I quite agree. It is the guild leaders who must make this place more livelier and work harder when she already has a full time job and is planning on college and a second job to help her mother. Yes indeed. It is quite my fault we are not a lively guild. I work 8 hours a day, pushing two very heavy carts around, cleaning rooms and taking care of old people who can't take care of themselves. When I get home I am exhausted, both physically and emotionally. To get on Gaia and spend hours attempting to better this guild, for you people. Instead, I get people telling me it's not active enough, or I should do more things, or create something new to make it active. I have tried! You guys just don't seem to care. Do you know how hard it is, to have people with dimentia and alzheimer's need you at all times of the day, who will cry just because you smile at them and pay attention to them? Several of them say I'm their angel, because I tell them to smile and never offer harsh words. I tell them they're beautiful people and happily join in with their hallucinations, to make them more comfortable. I help keep them calm every day that I work, and sometimes even after I've clocked off, I spend time with them. When some of them die, I help console the ones that are left, convincing them that they don't need to join their fellow residents just yet in heaven. We recently lost 4 residents, all of whom I knew and shared a special relationship with. I carry part of their burdens, so they don't have to, to help them have it easier. And yet you people here get on me for not having a lively guild to entertain you at all times. Every day almost, someone I know and care for dies anymore. Do you even know how many people showed up to the anniversary party, then complained it wasn't lively enough? 6. Maybe. Out of 200 members. I was told it hadn't been advertised here and no one knew about it. Even though there were at least FIVE threads HERE talking about it, created by myself, each for a different topic pertaining to the party. For over a MONTH prior to the anniversary. I work my butt off, day in and day out at this guild attempting to make the members post and be active. To make it interesting and entertaining and to breathe life into this guild. Do you know how exhausting that is? You seem to expect me to pour my life and soul into this guild, for people who do nothing in return. Not even post.

Tomorrow, on my list of those to be banned, are those with 10 or fewer posts who have not posted since...say...March 31st. Of this year.
Now, while I have not gone through the threads yet, to discover who among those has posted in the past two months, I will say this. Anyone who feels it is my fault, for not making the guild lively. Please note the following number and percentage. On the list are 115 of the guild's members. That is roughly 57% of the guild.
According to the actual member list, we have 199 guild members. This includes one guild account. Not the 293 members Gaia claims we have. Those have all either left or been banned. [Each member page holds 15 names. There are 13 full pages and one page with 4 members.]
So. As of right now, the guild's number may go down over half tomorrow. Everyone who gets banned will have the opportunity to contest this, because I don't remember who just joined today [one person] and who has not.
The number of those who are banned will go down by tomorrow evening, after I have gone through every thread at this guild. And I will post that number at that time.

Seldaara sweatdrop I pre-ordered it already. *huge Vincent fan* And you know, I'm not one to say this much, but you might almost want to hold off on getting a PS2 since the PS3 will be coming out in November, and unless things changed with that, it should be completely backwards compatible.
Or just go ahead and buy one anyway, they're cheap now. xd
Just saw this post. XD Anyway, on G4 a couple weeks back, they were discussing the PS3. The price is expected to be about $500. I'd say it'd be better, if you just want one specific game, to buy the PS2. It'd be a LOT cheaper. sweatdrop

All people here who have not been on gaia since 3/31/06 and all with 0 posts have been deleted from the guild. Later, I will finish off going through the forums post by post [yes, that's what I am doing], and delete all who have not posted since 3/31/06. Perhaps 3/20/06, though.
Gone through: Main chat Spam About Me
I'll finish the rest later on tonight.

Feadraug You wanted it ended by a poll, Mr. Ozzyfan, it shall be ended by one. stare Is that a Tone ? I hear a Tone ... I don't recall saying anything about that ... I merely commented that if you had already decided to step down in favor of Elfgirl, then the extra votes shouldn't matter. And if you had computer troubles, then what would be the harm in extending the voting deadline anyway ? We're not voting for President here ....

You can hear what you want in what I say, dear, it means little in the end if I had none. ^^ Also, as you are, as far as I can recollect according to the "oldest member" thread, my elder. Thus, the prefix "Mr." is quite accurate and polite when addressing you. Particularly when being serious or holding a discussion. As I don't know you, to me, you are a Mr. Ozzyfan. That is part of the mannerisms my Mother taught me.
Allow me to explain a third time, in simpler terms for you.
When I had mentioned I would step down and give the prize to elfgirl, and someone else voted this showed that there had been no integrity to the poll after my computer had died. Meaning, I can not account for the days that I missed and how many additional votes may have been added.
As to not extended the poll...do you honestly think we have that many members? I am fairly certain, considering the numbers and what I've discovered today, that all the "active" members had already voted.
Only way to have properly extended the poll to get additional votes would have been to either A) get new members equal to the amount of people on the poll, at minimum or B) PM all the members to tell them to go vote.
Quite frankly, I have the patience for neither and as it was an anniversary event and the anniversary was April 27...it would be sort of silly to have it all this month, as well, just to extend it out so I could have a proper poll, with it's integrity intact. Particularly when you consider the fact I had a secondary poll, while, with fewer votes, had not been touched in quite some time as that guild had not really been touched, in quite some time.
*sigh* What do people here not get? For all gaia says we have over 200 members, we do not! We have maybe 20 members that have posted in the past month. And -maybe- 50 in the past THREE months. COMBINED. We are that inactive memberwise. Without active members, that poll could not continue and as each member is permitted ONE vote and we had nearly 20 votes as it was and according to my current findings, in the past month we have had maybe 20 people here in grand total, that means there were none left TO vote.
And please, do not insult me by suggesting I'm "running for President". That's unbearably rude. crying
I'm not like a politician, am I, guys? I thought I was pretty straightforward and honest! Not always lying and filthy. crying
