"I am he who battled your companion over the fate of dear Aurora, NOt really wishing to relinquish her presious soul into the hands of a creature who may, or may not be who he says he is... Can't trust many these days with the strang tidings that my father attracted." Ke'Nel said with a gentle, and melodic voice, much like his fathers.

"I bet you would." Vik said, laughing loudly. "Yeah. We Laputans think that any sign of darkness is a 'threat'. I, also, do not think I am particularily harmless. I should be living in isolation." A small hint of sarcasm was in Vik's voice when he said the last statement. He attention shifted to the newly-arrived boy. "Oh, hello. How do you do." he paused for a minute. "Why did you call me 'mageling'?"

She stared at him. "You seem familiar..." Trying to come up with names and connections was rather hard in her mind right now, as she proverbially waded through the heavy thoughts. "Fought for Aurora..." She wasn't going to play guessing games. Quick link to Eclipse, who apparently was awake, gave her the answers she needed. Aura gave him a smile, seeing as he was related to a friend. "Ke'Nel, correct?"

The elf noded to Aurahkah, and then told Vik, "I call you mageling because you have the marks of a runecaster ingraved in your flesh. Usually, only mages can use those."

He turned his attention back to Aurahkah, "Five hundred years of hatred can wear a person thin, I appoligize for threating to steal your soul from your lock." He bowed, his streight hair parted to the sides of his face, and as he rose, the image of Nelphean was standing before the gathered, until the elf casually brushed his hair back behind his ears.

His blue eyes turned towards the sky, "Corellon must love this manor, for the rain always falls here... The kiss of life ever entwined upon these humble walls."

Vik was completely lost. Being away for so long, he had missed out on a lot of things. He decided to consort someone about it later. "I'm sorry, but you are sadly mistaken." he said, shaking his head, "I am in no ways a mage, since I know only a few basic magics. This," he raised his wrapped right hand; the scar could only be seen faintly under the wrappings, "is the mark of evil."

Definitely Nelphean's. She gave a nod, vaguely knowing what he was speaking of, until she was quickly filled in by the wolf. "We all say things we don't mean. Apology accepted young Ke'Nel." She tilted her head in Aura like fashion at the elf. "Yes, always raining...well most of the time."

He gently grabbed her tail in his teeth, stopping her from sprinting. "Ah, ah don't go running around now. You just got up. If you're anything like Aurahkah, that's not a safe thing." He gave a laugh before she stopped her pulling.

Lowering her ears a little she looked to him then smiled when he snorted at her. "Hungry."

"Oh are you now? Shall we get you something to eat then?"

The elf tilted his head at Vik's comment. "Mark of evil?" The elf almost laughed, these yougths and their experimenting... "If it were truly that evil, why not cut off the hand and ask a cleric to regrow it. It only costs about five thousand gold coins, and you seem to be a rich fellow with those exotic clothes..." The elf let it pass, it was a human after all, and probably rather attached to his hand. "Their is always another way to be ride of such things, quests or dieties willing to relieve you of that burden. Perhaps you know of how to be rid of it, or you wish to keep it." The elf's eyes glowed white momentarily, "Hopefully not the latter."

"Who was this Saradin fellow, the one who is away?"

She just had to roll her eyes at his remarks as to the remedies of Vik's hand. Elves and their thinking. It was refreshing at times. Then her smile fell a little. "Saradin is a man who stays at the manor...he's left for a time."

"Believe me, I've tried cutting off my hand. It doesn't work. Allow me to demonstrate." He pulled out a throwing knife with his left hand and aimed it downwards in a stabbing position. "I sincerely ask the faint of heart to turn away now." With that, He stabbed himself right through the palm without flinching. "See? Painless!" He yanked the knife out from the side, cutting through flesh and bone. When the blade was completely out, there was a small hissing sound and the wound began to seal up, the scar remained unscratched. "I don't think it can be removed. It's already infected my spirit. There is no known way to seperate it. If I could get rid of it, I would."

"His departure certainly means a great deal to you, was he a close friend? Do you wish to speak with him?" Ke'Nel walked towards the duet, as he walked closer his garments became more clear. He wore a sircout over a very fine coat of chainmail, on his chest rested the symbol of his diety, the quarter moon. His left hip had a mace tided to it, and there was a sword straped to his back, with the hilt raised over his right shoulder.

"I see that you aimed at the scar, but what if you hacked the hand of at the wriste... Same effect. What is the nature of that spell?"

"Yup. Figured that if I was going to stab anything, I'd stab the thing I despised the most." Vik smiled slightly, trying not to sound too humurous. "It wasn't much of a spell, more of a curse. It was supposed to give the caster complete control over my fate. I found a way around that, and now it's just an annoying scar. It won't go away, I have no use for it, and most of all, dark energies seem to be drawn to it. It makes some people rather uncomfortable when they're around me."

She had watched Vik pull his trick with mild interest. "Well...that has to be utterly frustrating." Her eyes and attention then jumped back up to Ke'Nel. "Yes, he is close. We talk a lot and the like...he is especially close to Eclipse." A small smile at the mention and remembrance.

"Don't run...please?" He padded into the kitchen behind Ecara, following her around the space. "Well, you have thumbs little one. And you know where the food is kept." Yes, he was associating independence to her. As if she didn't have enough...

Ecara walked over to the fridge and yanked it open with some effort. Once the box was open she fished out and orange, which she then went about trying to get into with her little fangs to break its peel.

"It is good to have close friendship." Ke'Nel smiled somewhat weakly. Ke'Nel felt the air's tint of spiritual essences, and noted the rancid smell of dark magics...

"The air smells of much magic and past actions, the front doors reeked of devil blood, the air her smells of decayed flesh, and the lies..." Ke'Nel let his eyes wonder about... "Some things are hidden, others are not..."

"The ancient scent of ghosts is strong, how many are here, who are they?" Ke'Nel asked with a pure tone.

She laughed. "Not only the manor itself has that feel and the like to it, but the surrounding woods around it as well...or so I am told by those whose senses are very keen." A nod. Ghosts. The only ones that came to mind were those of the bloodline. "Six. They're from a millennium long bloodline that used to inhabit the manor."

Frustration had her little wolfish ears down against her multicolored hair and dual colored eyes glared at the orange...until she strolled over to Eclipse and held it out to him. "Help."

"Help?" He thought for a moment, poor child was so easily frustrated. Padding over to the counter he pawed a drawer open and fetched a butter knife for the child. "Try this. I want to see you do it yourself."

One ear lifted when he heard Eclipse, the other when he heard the fridge. he was sure to get into trouble for the seared table and burnt cabinets..but he hoiped fixing the items of Aura would offset that. He got up off the couch, and moved to the kitchen in utter silence, seeing yet another chance to get at Eclipse. he gave a 'be quiet' sign to Ecara, and snuck up on the large hound, and picked him up in a big bearhug, keeping his wings together to boot.

"Cymarron greets Eclipse!"

Then let him go, with his growling laughter and plopped next to Ecara, muzzing her hair with much affection for the little one.
