Jazelle blinked at Johns comment then brought her hand to her forehead, smiling and chuckling. "Interesting...phrase." She gave Taipa a reassuring pat on the back then got to her feet and walked over to the table she was sitting at last. Jazelle stepped on the chair, then the table. She grasped the hilt with both hands and pulled. It did'nt come free. Not disgruntled in the least, Jazelle pulled on the hilt harder, swung one leg up and over her head and planted it against the celing. Now pulling with three limbs, the knife in the wood celing came free. Thanks to gravity, it caused Jazelle to go tumbling down. She fell back in the chair she was in previous to her throwing the knife. The chair scooted backwards and slammed against the wall. Jazelle, slightly rattled shook her head and crossed her legs, followed by slipping the knife into her belt and folding her hands in front of her. "That was easy." She said in a breathless tone.

John Bellamy "Well tha's good, I'm a man who loves his tarts." wink ((Warning: This innuendo may be a little too obscure for some.)) "Ha ha ha, John. But I don't think a tart would do. They'd be hard to throw, in the first place. And the stains'd never come out!" she chuckles in an oh-the-cleverness-of-me kind of way.

" But you know, " she says excitedly "Once you have one, the taste for 'em could ruin you! And cause serious problems at home, of course."

John Bellamy "I learnt that the hard way, love." she pats him on the shoulder "There there, John. There's not a pirate lad I know of who hasn't had the same trouble. Hell, that's even a trouble for us lady pirates." she stretches and reaches into her jacket. Then she freezes, and a look of horror crosses her face. She looks desperatley into her jacket pocket, even taking the damn thing off and shaking it "My... my mints! They're gone! Some sick slug has swung off with my mints!"

"Yer' mints...YER' MINTS?! By Christ I'll find the unworthy culprit and rip his damned spleen out!"
Says John rushing from the pub wearing a look of determination. However as he exits the bar he throws a mint into his mouth with a look of satisfacion.
"Heh, heh. Good show John, they'll never suspect!"
He then rushes off in the direction of the Bonfire...

Sitting in her chair as she watched John whisk the mints away, Jazelle would smile, fingering the pistol in her belt absent mindedly. "Tho' they might smell the suddenly fresh breath of a pirate." She murmered to herself. Jazelle got to her feet nodded to the supposedly empty corner, and to the barkeep as she threw a few gold and bronze coins on the counter in front of him before leaving for the Provokan forest.

John Bellamy "Yer' mints...YER' MINTS?! By Christ I'll find the unworthy culprit and rip his damned spleen out!"Says John rushing from the pub wearing a look of determination.
she looks around, stunned "That was John Bellemy, weren't it? I never pegged him for the chivelrous type! I always thought he was a swaggering, scurvy cur who'd steal anything that wasn't... nailed... down... " she thinks about this, and then looks up. "JOHN BELLAMY! GET YER FLEA-RIDDEN PELT BACK HERE!!" and she races out after him.

By now, however, John Bellamy is sitting by the Bonfire munching on the mints with contentment.

The girl, having been left mostly alone, finally picks her head up off her hands and snuffles one last time. Composing herself, she gathers the stuff she has dropped and coaxes her cat off of the cabinet against the far wall. Taipa wanders outside in search of someone important to talk to.

She sat upon a barrel of rum outside looking up at the sky. The bottle hung loosly in the hand and the sole eye seemed rather foggy. Angevin noticed the young girl walk out of the pub and waved her a greating with the empty hand.

Taipa, her cat following closely behind her, wanders over to the drunken looking woman. The girl looks tired and disheved, and acts as though she has not a friend in the world. She sits down on the ground, looking up at the strange woman.
"So. What's your story?"

The white cat exits the pub through a window and heads off into the thick of the forest. A ghostly thump of boots follows it out.
