"Not to worry, I do it all the time, but I do spend quite a bit of time by myself and I may be slightly insane" came a voice from directly behind her. Vincent made his way slowly out of the shadows clad in his signature long black trench coat and a smile evident on his pale lips.
"so Aurahkah I trust you have had a good day" he stated making his way across the kitchen to the fridge pulling it open and removing a small container of thick red liquid.

"Vincent. How nice of you to grace the kitchen with your presence." She sat up, but still perched on the table's edge. She began listing things, using her fingers as if counting them. "Let's see, lack of sleep, mercilessly teased...I'd say relatively yes. I had my laughs at least." She stifled a yawn and leaned back on her hands. "And you Vincent, how have you been? And how long have you been lurking in those shadows?"

Vincent outstretched his not occupied right hand towed one of the cabnits, the door rattling once or twice before opening, a sparkling wineglass floating threw the air and into Vincents open palm. He fulled the glass before tossing the now empty container into the trash." my day has been good, nothing out of the ordinary"
He took a seat beside her taking a small sip form his cup" really... if you don't mind my asking what was all this teasing about?"

"Well honestly you have a right to know, you mainly. Mixed in with my state of sleep deprivation that is and some random things that came out of nowhere. But I was mainly on the end of being teased about you." She chuckled slightly. "Oh when girls get together, it's chaos really." Aura took to swinging her legs again, finding a constant state of rest was just irritating to her, no wonder she wasn't sleeping.

Vincent lowered his glass to the table smiling with intrigue" I did think I heard someone saying something about owr little adventure in Egypt when I was outside" Vincent gave her a sly wink.

"It wasn't an adventure, I don't think roughly a half hour's time together counts as an adventure. Although there was your bad girl confronts good guy, fight ensues, outcome is decided, witty comments are exchanged, and the finale: an escape by both." She laughed a moment, brushing a few loose strands of hair away from her face. "Okay maybe it was, even if it was brief." She looked to him, narrowing her eyes the slightest bit. "You still didn't answer me. Exactly how long have you been listening in on all this?"

Vincent raised his hand to his clean shaven chin scratching it as if in thought"well, I was on my way back into the house about the time Bastet arrived in the kitchen and a few choice words caught my attention."

"About that time huh? So roughly...everything. Oh the stories and secrets you now know. I may just have to kill you. My defense line: I didn't know what I was doing, I haven't slept in two days." She sat up off her hands and raised one to punch him lightly in the arm. "I wouldn't do that to you though, not now anyway. Mr. Vincent the Vampire could probably rip me to shreds."

Vincent chuckled" realy..what happened to being able to go for days without sleep and that it was just comeing up on two?" Vincenet teased dropping his hand back to the glass before raseing it to his lips." Because you fared so much better when I was a human"

"Well who are they going to believe? The dead vampire on the floor or the bloodstained gracious hostess Aurahkah?" she smiled an shook her head slightly. "I just must be so fun to mess with today. And when you were human I probably would stand a chance. That is if I keep my guard totally up and not be thrown by off hand comments like the first fight we had."

Aura smiled, recalling the memory once more. "I did put up a good fight despite my situation didn't I?" She turned to face him a moment and smiled. "Smile for me, so that your fangs show."

Vincent eyed her for a moment, it was a strange request but after a few moments he did as she asked. His lips turned up into a smile, revealing his pair of bleached white fangs.

Without hesitation, Aura reached a hand up, touching a finger tip to one fang, running down it length, repeating the action on the other. She focused her eyes on them for a few moments, simply staring intently at them. Putting her hand under his chin she titled his head a little so that the light in the kitchen caught off his fangs. Aura smiled again, satisfied with her inspection. "Thank you. I had always wondered about vampire fangs."
