Banff is a crazy expensive place to live. That's why most of the hotels offer accomodations to their employees. Otherwise they'd have to drive into Banff every day to work from a nearby place.
I've never been there. I'm actually not sure where it is.

I've been there a few times. It's definetly a tourist attraction. @.@ It's a nice place to go if you like store hopping, mountains, skiing, and hiking. That's about all I can find to do there lol.
I think it's like an hour drive or so from Calgary, I can't remember. I know exactly where it is on a map though...
