Marcus D. Samuel -Silence-Different-Musician The darkness closes in on me, I surrender to it's sweet voice calling out to me, and let it take over me. On this bed I lay, losing everything I can see my life passing me by SilenceMarcus waited for her to pay, he stood there for a moment, staring straight ahead but not seeing what was there. Before he finally moved, grabbing the rest of the bags. Lucky there weren't that many, so they wouldn't have to much to carry with them. He didn't say anything to her, just waited for her to start walking before he followed close behind. Was it all too much or just not enough Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare There's no where to hide, in the dark. There was a girl I knew once, she told me I was blessed with a great gift. I laughed, because I think I was blessed with a curse.

Natalie E. Spencer I’ll never fail again... BrotherSpencer shifted uncomfortably while she waited for him to get eth bags, and then she walked out of the store and turned, heading back to the hotel. Luckily, this was her fourth time down this trail, so she was already getting quite used to it. She started off confidently, but then she suddenly stopped, a fear gripping her tightly. The brunette shook her head slightly. She couldn’t do it. She couldn’t go back. She thought that going back to the hotel would bring her job, but being out in the open road definitely diminished that joy. Spencer wished she could move her feet, but it was like they were cemented to the ground. Spencer absolutely did not want to encounter whatever was out there, waiting for her. ...I’ll keep you out of danger

On this bed I lay, losing everything I can see my life passing me by SilenceFollowing her out, Marcus kept his eyes down on the ground. He didn't like the silence between them. It was just uncomfortable for him. It was like they were walking on a thin sheet of ice and one moment they were doing fine and then the next one would slip and send both of them under. He wished he could find a way to make this better, but he couldn't. He still felt hurt and as much as he wanted to get over it he couldn't bring himself too. Until she stopped walking, he stopped right behind her. "Spencer, what's wrong?" he asked lifting his eyes from the ground and looking at her. "Are you okay?" He didn't like the way she looked, so terrified. It made him want to drop the bags he had in his hands and just hold her, keeping her safe from the rest of the world. Was it all too much or just not enough Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare There's no where to hide, in the dark. There was a girl I knew once, she told me I was blessed with a great gift. Natalie E. Spencer I’ll never fail again... BrotherSpencer started to quiver. She could only imagine what it was like. To die. Or, even worse, to be caged, tested on like some kind of lab rat. To be feared and hated, just because of some stupid genes that she couldn’t help. The brunette didn’t want to be alone. Away from Marcus, Noah, not even Selcia. She hardly heard Marcus’s words. Was she okay? No. She was far from it. Her mind was in shambles, darting around like a bunch of angry bees. Nothing in the world could make her move at that moment. Not even a train. Well, not that any trains were coming. That would just be bizarre. She swallowed, shaking her head slowly from side to side. “No.” She breathed. Though, really, she sounded strangely calm. Her fingers tightened around the bags as she tried to will herself forwards. Tried to force her feet to move. She continued to quiver, her brown eyes closing to try to ignore the occasional odd look from the rude people on the sidewalk. ...I’ll keep you out of danger

He didn't like it, it made him angry at whatever was scaring her so badly but it always made her feel horrible because he felt like he couldn't do anything for her. Finally he set the bags in one of his hands down and slipped it around her waist. "We can go a different way." he told her softly, wanting to help her somehow. Natalie E. Spencer I’ll never fail again... BrotherSpencer listened to him move around behind her, leaning heavily into him as she slipped his arm around her waist. She shook her head at his words. They would be there. They could be anywhere. She knew it. What good would taking a different way be? They would just get lost. Be out longer. They would get caught. They wouldn’t be able to fight it. No, they had to go the way they knew. It was safer. Though that didn’t, by no means, make it safe. “Just.” Her voice broke slightly. “Give me a minute.” She said quietly. She took a few deep breaths before opening her eyes and looking up at Marcus. “Alright.” She said quietly. “Just stay with me. Promise?” ...I’ll keep you out of danger

He wouldn't know what to say anyway. So, he waited and soon she spoke herself. Nodding he waited patiently for her. He wondered what had been scared her so badly. Though he could take a few guesses but he tried not to think about it. "I promise." he said softly and reached down giving her a quick kiss. He reached down and picked up the bags with his hand that was already carrying the other ones, since he didn't want to move his hand from her waist. Spencer waited patiently for him to pick up his bag before moving forwards slightly. She stopped again, sighing softly and moving closer to Marcus, as if he was a tree and she could just burrow into a hallow there or something. If only. “I’m sorry.” She murmured, moving forwards again. She pressed ever closer to him, avoiding any contact with anybody that passed by them, her eyes on the ground, on the sidewalk and the feet. She was trying not to scare herself. Trying not to think about how any one of those pairs f feet could be out to get them. She was getting anxious, nervous, and her head was starting to spin. ...I’ll keep you out of danger

Natalie E. Spencer I’ll never fail again... BrotherThe silence out here was definitely ten times worse out in the street than it had been in the store. Now it was just plain nerve wracking. “Can we talk?” The brunette asked him. “I don’t like the silence. I don’t want it to be quiet.” She more wanted something to occupy her mind. Something to try to push all the bad thoughts and ‘what ifs’ out of her mind. “It just makes everything more nerve wracking.” She jabbered on, her eyes darting around nervously. “What do you want to talk about?” She asked him. ...I’ll keep you out of danger

On this bed I lay, losing everything I can see my life passing me by SilenceMarcus looked down at the brunette as she spoke up. Of course they could talk. He wanted to talk as well. About anything. Silence was normally his friend. But it seemed that recently it was becoming his enemy. "I don't know." he said, actually he had a lot he wanted to talk to her about. Questions to ask her. But none of those seemed appropriate at the time. He pulled her to a stop as they got to the first cross walk. Just one more to go and they were back at the hotel. Natalie E. Spencer I’ll never fail again... Brother“You don’t know?” Spencer echoed. “You have to know. Something, anything. Just anything.” She was starting to talk in nervous fragments. She shifted as they stopped. They were about a third of the way there. She yelped slightly, burrowing further into Marcus as someone brushed against her. She hated being so nervous. It was an awful feeling. She blushed immediately, closing her eyes and sighing. “Sorry.” She whispered. “Sorry.” ...I’ll keep you out of danger

On this bed I lay, losing everything I can see my life passing me by SilenceMarcus tried not to comment on her nervous tone. He was becoming just as nervous as she was. When she yelped though that made even him jump. "It's okay. It's okay. Don't worry." he said as she apologized. He sighed when the light went red and they could walk. "Come on." he said and started across the street with her. They where almost to the other side when he heard a girl call out, everyone scrabbling for the side walk. He didn't see it though, all he did was push Spencer out of the way the bags dropping from his hand. That was when he felt the car hit him, but after that he felt nothing, no pain just blackness. His only thought before he slipped into unconsciousness was that Spencer got out of the way. Natalie E. Spencer I’ll never fail again... BrotherSpencer nodded. Her head was doing whatever it felt like, thoughts jumping from here to there and it was making her even jitterier, even more in pain. He nodded, walking along with him across the street. She jumped at the sound of a scream, turning to try to figure out what was going on. Everything was too fact, everything was too blurry. She stumbled forwards, tripping and hitting the ground, catching herself n her hands, though, before she could fall flat on her face. She could feel the pain shot through her hands, but only for a moment before she realized just what had happened. She turned, eyes widened and picked herself up off of the ground, stumbling slightly. It looked as if the driver had tried to turn, tried to stop. But it looked as if it hadn’t been enough. She ran over to the body that she thought was Marcus’s. It all felt like some weird dream, some alternate reality. She found a phone pushed into her hand and she instinctively called the hotel and told the lady to connect her to their room Hopefully Selcia and Noah would pick up the room phone. Hopefully they could come. Know what to do. ...I’ll keep you out of danger

What happened next suprised him, though he knew it really shouldnt have, fighting to open the door while leaning against it isnt the best idea. Seeing as he landed flat on his back it wasnt much of a surprise to the blonde that he ended up with the wind knocked out of him for a moment, though he recovered rather quickly and let out a light chuckle "For?" he asked letting his head lull to the side when he heard Selcia apologise before bringing his arms up to pull the other down in a light kiss "I think you were just getting ahead of yourself" he joked with a playful wink. Really he couldnt be mad at the other, he hadnt been thinking about it either and probubly would have done the same, he wasnt squished nor had he hit his head so he was good, though he found the matter to be a bit funny.
