She nodded, rocking back and forth on her feet quite uncharacteristicly. "I found a very useful book that I will refer to later. So you most likely will not see it for a while. And tormented spirits Cym?" She caught the look he gave her and the ghost and she shook her head. Now she had to see Coban and maybe Kali alone. "Ah, yes Coban, well I was about to go to the Solarium. Shall we talk there then?" Without waiting for an answer, she walked towards the aforementioned spot.

Aura nodded to Cymarron, who had joined them. "Cymarron, this is Kali and Coban...my "parents" if you will.

Coban shook his head as his attention was drawn to this apparent Cymarron, who apparently was the one that had Jaxom up in arms. No, that boy wasn't happy in the least. Thinking about it he gave a chuckle and nodded to Cymarron. "Good show. Jaxom could use a taste of his own medicine sometime. And, you may call me Coban...no formalities attached please. Excuse me, seems Miss Bastet wishes a conversation of me." So saying he turned, and in mortal fashion he followed Bastet up the stairs.

Kali shook her head. "He's meddling, I know he is." Straightening her posture she turned a warm smile on Cymarron, and gave a slight now in greeting. "Hello Cymarron, I'm Kali." Her eyes went back down for a moment to the still seeking for reason child.

Nailah stared out her window a little while longer. She looked at Tyler who was still in peaceful slumber. Slowly she slipped out of her room making sure she stayed quiet. She wondered where everyone was and sighed. Did she really feel like company right now? Not really she decided. She bit her lip in indecision the voices rising from other parts of the manor. She grabbed her bow and quiver and headed out to the courtyard. She saw the group and sighed. Keeping her head down she pretended like she was lost in thought. Maybe if she looked like she was occupied they woudn't be upset if she didn't talk to them. She just felt...odd. Nailah sighed. She was kind of glad Tyler was sleeping. She didn't think she could deal with his questions right now and she dind't want to snap at the boy. She walked outside and sighed. No sun. Quite matched her mood...

She ran on all fours up the stairs and into the Solarium where she leaped onto a couch and looked out the glass. It was raining outside as it always was, not falling on the Manor because of the barrier. She could practice out in the rain, it is the same thing anyway. It was hard to tell what time of day it was with lack of a sun. It was imperitive that she master these powers with the growing evils, how would you train for this anyway? She was millenia behind on it...

"Coban, Kali. Cymarron will remember the names of the den mother's parents. But why are so many spirits here? this place seems very well protected by it's pack. Cymarron does not understand why so many spirits choose to stay and not become like the Ancestors."

The comment about meddling made the fur on his neck stand a bit, the last time he'd been around a 'meddling' ghost it had not been a pleasent time. of course that ghost, before it had been banished from the earthly plane, meddling had been throwing sharp objects at him just to make him jump around like a grasshopper to avoid them.

"Meddling is not good, yes? Cymarron could bind Coban to something if it is not good that he meddles."

Nailah wandered around and finally saw the graveyard. She had heard Aura speak of it and wondered what she would find if she went inside. It appeared to be pretty extensive reaching as far as the eye could see. She wandered in and saw a huge angel statue in the middle. Walking around she wasn't really paying attention and the next thing she knew she had tripped on something. She stumbled and tried to catch herself but fell into a rather large hole. She fell in on her a** and then sat up looking around. A fresh grave?

Kali had to give a laugh at Cymarron, he seemed so concerned. "We stay because we wish to my dear man. We stay to watch over our home, and mostly we stay for Ary." A nod then a smile. "And Coban is always doing something. Whether it's being business like or meddling, that's just him. No harm behind his actions I assure you."

Aura sighed and rolled her eyes, picking up Ecara when the little wolf featured girl tugged her wrist for attention and implied her intention with outstretched arms.

Ecara gave a look to Cymarron, then outstretched her arms to the feline like man. "Cymarron!"

Coban stood now behind Bastet, watching her as she watched the outside. A moment passed where he said nothing, then cleared his throat. "How go the powers? I hope they aren't causing you too much trouble, and that perhaps you have some semblance of control over them."

"And then I got punched in the face! I haven't felt pain in eighty plus years! Then I fell on my face, adding insult to injury!" He crossed his arms, sitting atop his own gravestone. "The nerve..."

"Quit being overly dramatic."

"I think it's funny as hell. About time someone messed with you as much as you mess with everyone else." All conversation seemed to stop as Niah caught the eye of all three of them, then a chorus of laughter broke out among the three as she fell into the hole. "We should put a fence around that thing..."

Nailah sighed. This was rather fun. She heard the laughter and glared up. "Now that you've all had your fun...would someon mind helping me out?" Niah waited a minute and then thought about the fact that she was in a graveyard and it was very likely the voices she heard were ghosts. "Dammit..." she cursed and began to climb out of the hole. After struggling for a little while she finally got out and glared at the three ghosts. She recognized Lotus but the other two she'd never met before. "Who does that belong to anyway?" she said nodding to the offending hole. "Damn thing should be filled in..."

He titled his head, listening to Kali talk, until he noticed Ecara...he grinned lightly at her, noting the action that ment she wanted to be held..but this time seemingly directed at him. He obliged, lifting her up like she was little more than a feather in weight, and settling her in a cradle made by his tail up against him, having no real idea at all how to hold a young child.

"Cymarron has a question only the dead can answer. it has..bother Cymarron for many years. how do the dead see Cymarron? is Cymarron still a Vah to spirits, or is Cymarron something else?"
PostPosted: Fri Feb 25, 2005 6:21 pm

She laughed quite hysterically. "Well, Nelphean was messing with me at one point, and I sort of used them in front of Aura, but I can bullshit an answer if questioned." She made it seem as though she would still lie to Aura even though that question was wrung through her head quite a lot.

"They are tied to my emotions a lot. Happy, levitate. Endangered, barrier. I am told this is odd, so how do I control them?"

Piper stepped out from behind the angel statue. "You can't fill that in. And you should stay out, it's rude to lie in other people's graves."

Jaxom, crossed legged and armed atop his gravestone tried to quiet his laughter. "It's Aurahkah's grave." He said bluntly then looked to Piper. "I thought you were told to rest up..."

Lotus rolled her eyes. "Leave them both alone Jaxom." Her look went to Niah, noticing that the girl only recognized her. "Niah, I'd like you to meet Thobias and Jaxom." She pointed to each in turn. "The graveyard mischief makers."

"Not as bad as you." He smiled and looked to Niah. "Nice to meet you."

Kali blinked at Cymarron. "How do we see you..." Ah yes, she seemed to recognize the question. "We see you as we want to see you Cymarron. Sometimes, we can choose to not see you at all. Other times we see you as you want us to see you. All about one's own interpertation...why do you ask?"

Ecara giggled softly and wrapped her arms around Cymarron's neck for support, her legs around his waist to help hold herself up. Nuzzling under his chin in appreciation her tail swished idly as she listened to them talk.

"Odd?" He laughed. "Why is that called odd? Sometimes magics are directly linked to ones emotions. We all manipulate the energies in different ways, some can do it by emotion, some by sheer will. It all depends on the user." Hands clasped behind his back he came to stand next to her. "To control them, you must force them to activate. You must force them to come, and force them to go. You have to know what they feel like to come and go. Once you know the feeling, you can then learn to suppress or release them, thus the controlling of your powers. Takes practice, and lots of it."

Nailah looked at the four ghosts. She shook her head. "Aurahkah's..." She bit her lip for a moment an overwhelming sadness filling her. She didn't want to look at the grabe much less think of Aura laying in it...dead. The thought was far too painful and she quickly pushed it aside. She turned around and looked at the name. At a wry attempt to lighten the atmosphere she laughed, "You'll have to add Voladu to it now." She looked at each of the ghosts in turn and nodded. "I'm Nailah a current resident of the manor and the pleasure is mine." She looked at Lotus and said "I want to tell you how much I appreciate you puttin gmy room back together for me. I don't know what I would have done if I had to walk around in Aura or Bastet's clothes any longer. You have my extreme gratitude and if there is anything I can do in return please don't hesitate to let me know." Niah tried to remember if she had heard anything about the other ghosts but couldn't think of anything. "Why are you all still here?"

"That explains a lot. You certainly know your magic do you not?" A sigh escaped, "I guess I just feel behind, I could have been trying this years ago but I was too busy to stop and associate with people, to learn anything from anyone." She looked back to the transparent figure and stood up near him. "Know the feeling huh? And master the feeling, that is all it takes, and yet it is hard."

Cymarron gave a purr at the child's affection, and returned to his questioning of the ghost.

"The odl one said that you do not see as the living do. Cymarron wondered if you saw the physical Cymarron...or the conjoining of spiritual fragments and minds tht make up Cymarron on the inside. or if you saw the Beast."

The last was said rather hesitantly, as the Beast stirred when it's name was evoked...though no one here had seen the beast, only heard him refer to it. Cymarron himself had memories of the beast escapeing the cage in his mind and the destruction that followed. they were not pleasent memories.

"There are other spirits here? what do you do? how do you watch the manor, do you keep it grounds? repair damage? ward it form other spirits? guide and protect your desendants? all of those things?"

Thobias seemed to show a taste of dislike on his face. "Voladu...if any name should be on there, it's Rayner. We had her before he did." He crossed his arms and then sighed. "I'm here for Aurahkah."

Jaxom gave a look to Thobias. Then turned to Niah. "I'm here because I want to be, I want to look over my manor and I want to stay here and bug Ary."

She crossed her arms, waving a hand dismissing to Niah. "Don't worry about it, I like to do it actually."

He shrugged. "Wouldn't be a good mage if I didn't now would I?" He nodded, no reflection showing in the glass in front of him. Then he looked to her. "People tend to over complicate or over explain these types of things. And I could train you if you wish."

Kali smiled at the volley of questions. She avoided his beast comment. "Yes, there are six of us in total, my husband, daughter, then three others from down the line generations. We just hang around to keep an eye on things, nothing binds up here except ourselves. And yes, we do all those things."

"And sometimes they just like to tease."

"Badly."
