Angelofdeath895 Angel mind slowly retreated leaving her alone in her thoughts and apartment. The fox seemingly dissappearing in front of her. ~I'll be back soon~ Ana blinked as Angel's thoughts retreated from her mind. She looked around the apartment, frowning a bit in confusion. "Where did he go?" She had the feeling that....something important had happened, but couldn't quite place what. She shrugged a bit, the serene expression coming back to her face. She cleaned up the remains of breakfast and then headed for the lobby.

Ana entered the apartment and calmly got undressed, throwing on her nightshirt. She lay in the bed, gazing serenely at the ceiling. Deep in her mind, she frantically searched for a crack in the smothering blanket of calm that surrounded her. Eventually, she closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Ana opened her eyes and went about her usual morning routine, wrapped tightly in thick fog of calm. The small part of her mind that was still her own noticed that Angel had never returned to the apartment. She hoped he was alright. She made a pot of coffee and set out some cereal and bagels for Angel when he returned. She grabbed a pad of paper and a pen, jotting a quick note for Angel.
Angel~ I've gone down to the lobby. See you soon. I love you. ~Ana
She left the note on the kitchen table and calmly headed for the lobby.

Ana entered the apartment and looked around, disappointed to note that Angel still hadn't returned. She was starting to worry a bit. Pushing the worry aside, she went to the bedroom and changed into her nightshirt. She climbed into bed under the covers and propped herself up on one arm to read, hoping to catch Angel when he got back.

Her eyes slowly began to close as she read. She tried for another 20 minutes or so to fight her sleepiness but, in the end, it was a losing battle. The book quietly slipped out of her hand as her head dropped onto the pillow and she fell asleep.

Angel was the first one to wake up this time. He smiled warmly at the sleeping Ana before moving silently from the bed to the bathroom. The sounds of the shower could be heard softly.

Ana opened her eyes as she heard the familiar sound of the shower running. She climbed out of bed and headed out to the living room, where she sat on the couch, waiting for Angel to come out of the shower.

Angel came out a moment later with a pair of jeans on. "Oh your up. I didn't wake you did I?"

Ana smiled happily at Angel. She practically threw herself off the couch and into his arms, pulling his head down to kiss him deeply. It was so wonderful to be with him without the numbing fog of calm in the way. After a long moment, she broke their kiss and looked up at him, grinning. "Guess what?" She asked, eyes twinkling.

He smiled up at her and returned the kiss. "If it's more talk about becoming one. Then I'm going to have to punch Ryu."

Ana laughed and kissed Angel again. "Nope, no more of that talk. I'm free Angel!" She laughed happily and hugged him tight.

She took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts. "The creature was here last night. It attacked us in the lobby. It..it tried to make me help it take Elec." She shuddered at the memory. "But...I just got so...mad." She shook her head. "No. Not mad. Furious. Enraged. This..monster was hurting my sister. And trying to make me help. And then...something happened. The rage just kept building and all of a sudden it was like a partition in my mind crumbled and behind it was...pain. All the pain from my years with Alexander. All the pain from every wound I've ever Healed. It was like it had all been hidden behind this wall. And it wanted out. The pain finished what the rage had started. It blew away the last of the blob's control over me and I was able to break free..." She paused. She was a little unsure about telling him this next part.
