The Doctor spun on his heel and started to walk further into the woods but, yet again, stopped. On the ground were lots of leaves and branches and grass.
"Now doesn't this look like a really obvious pit trap to you?"

Alexis kneeled down next to what appeared to be the trap and brushed away some of the twigs and leaves.
"Yep, it's a pit-trap."

"Well then, let's see what's down there."
The Doctor stepped fowrward and fell down into the pit. . . Or would have done if was just a pit and not a huge drop.

The Doctor landed on his feet, somehow. He looked around then looked up and saw the brief image of a foot, before he was knocked to the floor.

Alexis stood up, brushing herself off.
"Thanks for breaking my fall!"

The Doctor slowly got up and rubbed his head.
"Never mind your fall, I think something else might be broken."
The Doctor pulled something out of his pocket. Due to the author's too tiredness to describe it, he just decided to say that it was a sonic screwdriver and know that the only other person here would know what it was. He pressed a button and it shone a blue light and made a strange noise. He moced it up and down his head then put it away.
"Nope, I'm fine. Let's go."

The Doctor walked down, with Alexis in tail, what appeared to be a mineshaft. There were mine cart tracks and broken pick axes along the floor. From behind, the Doctor heard the sound of panting and footsteps, not Alexis's, geting louder and nearer The Doctor turned around and saw a young, long-blonde haired woman running towards him.
"Is that-"
"Doctor!"
The woman stopped in front of the Doctor and put her hands on his shoulders while she got her breath back. The Doctor looked at her face and smiled.
"Romanadvoratrelundar! What are you doing here?"
"I thought I told you not to come here. You never were too clever."
"I was clever enough to get you out of trouble over and over again."
"Yes but it was usually because of you in the first place. Anyway, you always needed my help to do whatever your plan was."

Alexis gives the woman an awkward smile, although she stays quiet.

The Doctor suddenly remembered Alexis.
"Oh sorry, this is Romanadvoratrelundar, or Romana for short. Romana, this is Alexis."
Romana held out a hand.
"Nice to meet you."
