Shimegamis_Rage Werewolf Tyr Viscount That'd be Nuada of the Silver Arm. xp At your service. And that's 'cause the Nords aren't shallow aesthetic-perfectionists. evil Nuada. That's the one. ninja Just testing. What about blonde love/sex goddesses? Freya, Aphrodite (very famously blonde)... was the Egyptian goddess Ken (very similar) blonde? Anybody know of any others? So blonde means... well, yeah. You can probably get what it seems to mean. Freyja is not a love/sex goddess... stressed stressed Well, would you care to enlighten us with what she IS then? Seeing as her daughter Hnoss was goddess of infatuation (and these things tend to run in families in mythology), she has those dwarf-and-Brisingamen rumours flying all the time, and she is most famously linked with the element fire, many people do link her to love and desire.

She is a Vanir Goddess among the Aesir who, more than anything else, is a goddess of magic. She is the one who taught Seidhr to Odhinn. She is skilled in vardlokkur, Utiseta and Seidhr. She is also head of the Valkyrie, and as such has been associated with Death. Through her sexual escapades undergone to obtain Brisingamen, she is loosely associated with sexuality, though never with love or desire. Freyja has two daughter, Hnoss and Gersimi. Hnoss is a goddess of incredible beauty beauty, not infatuation. Her sister was the same. (Hnoss means treasure, Gersimi means jewelry)

Alright, poppets (I always wanted to say that word XD) It's time to settle down.
Anyone else have anything they'd like to share, or elaborate on past topics of similarities and commonalities?

And as above, the Persian god Mithras... He was conceived by a virgin mother who gave birth to him in a stable, surrounded by shepherds, under a new star. He had twelve followers with whom he shared a last sacrificial meal, died, and rose from the dead three days later.
Also noted should be the gold halos, again taken from Egyptian mythologies and transferred to the Christian saints.
@ Lugh - fair enough.

I can't believe that I'm admitting this, but I got half of it from the Da Vinci code and went searching on the net to verify it.
