Niel grabbed his sword with his uninjured hand and thrust it into his scabbard. He clutched his bleeding arm and looked up at Talina. He could feel the warm blood drip off his numb fingertips but he refused to give in "I'm fine. Are you alright?"

Talina nodded then looked at his arm " your not fine" she said then placed her hand on his shoulder healing the wound slightly " it's not perfect but it stopped bleeding and hopefully doesn't hurt so much" she said she turned seeing a Urgal head for then she pulled out her blade and stabbed it she then heard her own name inside her head she looked and saw the Slade she glared at him and refused to let him in her mind because if he got in there he would know she was the heir to Ellesmera and a dragon rider and hopefully he wouldn't get in the other girl's head either because his top priority is killing off the dragon riders or force them to join there side.

Niel grinned at Talina. " Thank you very much. I needed that." Niel stood near Talina and he took hold of the power and wove a weave of air around a group of 3 Urgals. They were frozen in place and Niel tied off the weave so they could deal with them later. Suddenly he felt a probe try to enter his mind. In panic he did the only thing he knew and struck back. Hard. There was a scream of rage and pain somewhere within the attacking horde.

Melena heard crystalyn's silent cry to block her mind and as soon as she heard it she stoped in her traks and took a second to control her mind and block it from the shade. as soon as she had mentally delt with the shade he came from within the heart of the urgals and kulls and Melena went at him with her swords. the shade however was fresh and had been protected by the kulls so melena had some truble keeping up but she got a few jabs and slashes in at him. they kept jumping around lunging and blocking as if they were dancing. then the shades sword made contact with melenas right sholdier and she fell from the inpact and dropped one of her swords to grab her sholder and stop some of the bleeding...

Talina nodded and spun as she did and stabbed a Urgal in the throat she was fighting when she heard a sinister voice in her head that said ' hello princess Talina' she turned around and saw the Slade had just injured Melena and he was looking at her grinning, how did he know he couldn't have known there was no explanation as she ducked as a Urgal missed her by inches.

Crystalyn felt another tug at her brain. She faltered and got hit in the head with an Urgals club. She fell and her mind went blank.

Niel gathered himself and fell back to Talina Niel cut off an Urgals arm that just about hit Talina and beheaded him. Talina seemed to be staring at something in the horde of urgals. It wasn't an elf, or urgal, and it didn't look completely human. He felt the probe again and fended it off with great effort. Niel realized that, that thing must be the one trying to get into there minds. Niel flexed his arm it wouldn't be much help with such a heavy sword he needed something lighter. It had been a long time since his training in his home which was now far across the western sea. But he believed he could still remember the weaves. Niel consentrated on making the weave. He created a web mixing fire and air forming it into a swirling sword of solidified fire.

Melena dragged herself away from the shade with her uninjured arm then silently healed it just enough to stop the bleeding. she gasped at the amount of energy that healing spell took from her, the shade had cut deeper then she had thought. once she gained mobility in her arm she got up and went back into the fight.

Crystalyn found herself in a meadow. The dragons were playing with eachother. The four friends were talking and laughing. Everything was peacful. Then suddenly everything caught fire. Everything burned.
Crystalyn regained concouseness. The Shade smirked. He had found the information he was looking for. He knew about the dragons. He barked an order to the remaining Urgals and vanished.

Talina leaned forward and stabbed a Urgal in the stomach it made a unpleasant scream and the Urgals were dimming slowly the ones alive began to run away from the borders of Ellesmera all the Elves started to cheer there weren't many of there's dead but a lot of Urgals an elf came up to her as Talina breathed out " send forth the crew to clean and move these" she said he knew what she meant the crew would take them far away and burn the bodies there was no where else to put them she looked around " scout for any of our kind and take the wounded quickly back to Ellesmera" she said she looked at Neil and then started walking around walking over Urgals as she looked for any fallen elves.

Crystalyn gasped and panted. Why? Why had she allowed the Shade to enter her mind? She felt ashamed. How could she let the elven kingdom down.

Niel relieved that it was over let the sword go and it dissipated before reaching the ground. He let go of the magic and as soon as he did so he fell face first onto the ground. He felt so exhauseted he could hardly move. His magic was not the same as the elves but it still took a heavy tole oh his body. Niel finally got up the strength to roll over on to his back. He thought I'll just lay here for a bit and then I'll get up and help the others.

once Melena was sure that everything was secure she slumpped down in a pile on the blood strewn ground. that battle was harder then anyone had thought it would be she thought as she tore a piece of her sleave off to bind her wound that had burst open again. after a minute she hauled herself up to help get the wounded out and remove the bodies. as she tore more of her sleave to bind wounds she sighed on the inside to see that none of her friends were badly wounded. once all the injured were tended to Melena went to talk to Talina "what happened? why did they leave? did the shade find anything?"

Talina looked at Melena and shook her head " I....don't think so" she looked around and saw Neil was laying on the ground she walked over and looked seeing he was alright but looked tired " it seems the magic you used...overwhelmed you" she said and grinned she then looked up at Crystalyn " are you alright?" she called over to her.
