xd But that could be just him about to say something! [I'm not saying I think he never smiles... just about 98% of the time he doesn't really show what he's feeling. @_@]

A true smile, I doubt that's what it is in that picture, and as Hana said, it could be him about to say something. ...I'm about to go through the episodes to check, actually. ..

Exeiel He does so smile!XD Like I said before though, Amon is really her father brother figure. (Read the post I put in the Amon thread.) Sorry, don't see the picture.. Try saving and uploading it somewhere first.
A father figure, no. I'm guessing this is what you meant by reffering back to the thread:Exeiel Holding something you recieve from the one dear to you doesn't quite mean the person is your intimate dear one; I mean, when a child misses her father or mother certainly they will hold whatever they posses from them close, almost like they can be with them, have that protection. And like I said, she needed that protection, she was a charatcer growing beyond herself, and she needed security. True. Obtaining and retaining a certain object or symbol of affection or whatever other emotion, from a person doesn't necessary mean that a person is something more than a friend, however the relationship between Amon and Robin is most definitely NOT a father/daughter or brother/sister relationship. That note I will NEVER sway my opinion on. My sentiment is that I highly doubt that the main reasons Amon: 1- broke up with Touko to stay close to Robin without question from her. 2- showed special interest and treated her differently and only her. What I mean is that he could've easily treated Dojima the same way before or during her (Robin's) arrival, but he didn't, where is that "fatherly love" to his other also younger female teammate? AKA, Dojima. 3- deliberatly gave special need and care to Robin during the collapse of the "normal state" of the STN-J starting in episode 15. He could've also easily managed to treat any of his other colleagues to a more suitable environment (he might have more difficulty wth Michael, but he could've found a way, yes), however, he cared most and foremost for Robin, and with his own brother, nonetheless. 4- almost kissed Robin in episode 16. If he had in fact gone through with it (stupid paper >.> ), I doubt it would've been the "fatherly" or "brotherly" type of thing for him to do to his "daughter" or "sister". I mean come on, picture it yourself, you wouldn't kiss your dad or sibling that way. 5- made Robin think that he had truly died or gone off somewhere and wouldn't return. A father or brother wouldn't let their daughter/sister go through the agony that she did go through, they'd find another way. I know that my dad, no matter how risky it was, in a situation like that, would let me know somehow that he was ok, if in fact he was.
was just to show a fatherly/brotherly love. Then again, I may be completely off, but that's my belief.

XD Robin, are you on the right thread? [the original post was in teh Amon dedicated thread. @.@]
Blargh, in any case... xd Yeah... I don't really see it as father//brother love as well... :B [I thought the 'almost kissing part' was episode 15...? o_@]
xD Another thing to add to the list, though... the actual opening of the series. The way Robin acted towards Amon strolling around about in the television [xD Amon strolling...] doesn't point to guardian//child feelings whatsoever. o_o
I mean, why would the OP be made to convey something entirely different if it was supposed to be father and child? I think only someone you like more than a friend can get you that frustrated... xD'
[by the way, Robin!- all I see in your rando sig is jrockers! What have I done?! XDDDDDDDD]

I'm going to agree with Hana and Robin - they both displayed very good points (especially Hana and the OP - I didn't even think of that...which is dumb since I ALWAYS use it in my AMVs), so yeah...
The relationship between Amon and Robin is most definately NOT a Father/Daughter Brother/Sister sorta thing...going a tiny bit further on Robin's statement (referring to Doujima and how he doesn't treat her any special), every main member of the STN-J apart from Amon (and not including Zaizen, the chief, and Hatori) are teens - even Karasuma. She is 19, Doujima is 18, Sakaki is 17, and Michael is 16 (how funny! It goes from 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, and 25!! Amon had to be different, huh?), so wouldn't he act like a guardian to all of them? Sure, he is almost nice to Sakaki in the 1st episode, and sure, he treats Karasuma with respect (but is only because she's more mature than her age), that doesn't mean he holds them above everything else...but on the same note, from what Hana and Robin have stated in both this and the Amon Thread, he does for Robin - he treats her differently than everybody else, and not as a father would treat his daughter...
Oh, and by the by, that picture you used is right before he says something (I actually was going to use that scence in an AMV I'm making), and he's not smiling - he's smirking...there's a difference - Amon does one of them, and Amon does not do one of them.

@Nagi: ...I think I replied to all of that over the phone when we talked earlier for....2 hours. >D so I have nothing to say
@Hana: Yes, yes I am in the right thread. .. . . *runs to The Amon Thread* ehm.
WhoO! Two people agree! [yesh. episode 15. .. shut up. I'm having a bad day. xD ]
Figures I'd miss the most obvious thing ever. Basically, yes, I agree. Just blame my stupidity today.
[bwahahahahahahahahahahahaha! I'm not done yet. I met a girl guy today on gaia that has 75 pictures of Mana. Of just Mana. He tried getting to 1Oo, but he couldn't find any more that weren't repeats. Know what that means?
Robin's going to beat a record. =P

The relationship status is completely based on the persons intellect and perspective on the situation. Therefore, there are many opinions on the matter, glad to hear you out 3nodding
There is always going to be different perspectives on the matter, that is why I offered my two cents on the subject of this discussion.

@ Robin ---> xD Doh. w00t. =D o.o
xD Yesm. [Quite all right. xD The only reason I remember it is because it's the episode that got me the most emotional. Plus, I'm in the episode 15 fanlisting. @_@]
Oh, blargh! D: Not stupid. -_-
[o_o;; jeez.. S'lot of Mana. XDDDD Apparently I have 143 pics of RES... @_@ Good for your record beating! >DDD]
@ Exeiel ---> Yesm... *waves a white flag* XD It was sort of interesting to hear it, I suppose... just some of the stuff sort of threw me over the edge. xD'''''''''''''

New stuff is always sometimes a shock when people are so set on one perspective, people all agree and a new one pops into question. Even now being still a bit of a RobinXAmon fan, I can understand how it was strange though. lol

You only say this because you're the one introducing the newer concept. We've already decided that it's not a father/daughter relationship, and we have already given you evidence to prove our theory. It would be helpful if you actually supported your opinion as well. rolleyes

I've never really been an AmonXRobin fan... Even when I'd seen the whole series, I still couldn't get my mind around the age difference.
But I guess it could happen...
I'm sorry if it's disagreeing with a bunch of people...but I'd kinda have to agree with Ex a bit more... sweatdrop
Obviously that doesn't mean I have to be right, though! *Holds up huge -don't hate me- sign*

@ Exeiel ---> XD I meant the fact that you seemed so extreme about it. Ah, so you are a bit? @_@
@ Sesshouamonkuya ---> sweatdrop Ehhh... well, there was some support, anyway... I think it's on another thread or something, though... even though I sort of disagree with majority of it... @_@
@ Shaded_Whispers ---> XD Yeah, I sort of just forgot the age difference after awhile.
*nod*
Indeed, I have noticed. XDDD
