XD My friend and I have had a whole conversation about that, actually. (My friend Derek, that is. He is Xigbar, incarnate in human form. He is one of the coolest people I know.)
His contention was, "Why is that even a catchphrase? It has too many syllables."
And mine was, "Actually, I believe that.. Well... never mind. You're right. It's a pretty silly catchphrase. Skoar."

I agree with your friend also! Honestly, I think it would be okay for a quote, but not a catchphrase. Seriously, how many times does he say "Got it memorized?" in the game? @_@

I rather liked it in Re:CoM, though, when he kept saying 'Yo!' to whomever he appeared to. That was actually kind of endearing. I do that all the time now. XD

Meh. Axel is awesome. His catchphrase is... not so much.
Come on, you know if he hadn't said it, it wouldn't sound as cool. The phrase has no inherent coolness. I bet you if Axel said "I like to put bananas on my nipples" it would become a popular phrase somewhere.
