So we must introduce ourselves. Well, here's the short, sum up of who I am. biggrin
Gaian Name: PaidProgramming
Age: Almost 18 as of September.
Year: I'm a Junior and well.. now I'm going to be a Senior.
Hobbies: I write. Or used to. I still do, just not as much as I used to. I also like to draw realistic human beings. It's fun.
Favorite Book: As of now it's probably Leave Myself Behind by Bart Yates. :B It has been the latest one I read... except now I'm reading the Last Herald-Mage series by Mercedes Lackey. I'm on book number three and well on my way towards the end. (Actually, I just started.) Also, I just ordered three books from Barnes and Noble. I'm excited to get my nose in them.
Why I Read GLBT: I haven't quite figured this out yet. I consider myself straight, but I love to read stuff about different sexuality. Perhaps it's because I'm curious about it. But what I've come up with so far is that I love LOVE internal conflict stories and that's usually what GLBT is. I like to read about people not being accepted into society for no good reason. I like angst, drama, and I love to cry. This is what I've come up with for the reason why I read what I read. All the books I read with deal with some major conflict with themselves. Or else I'm just not satisfied.

I have taken quite the liking to fantasy books with gay leading characters. I think it really started with Trudi Canavan's Black Magician trilogy - Danny heart Tayend - where my curiosity of whether or not they would get together far overrode my interest in the actual plot. Currently, I'm almost done with Trator's Moon(L. Flewelling) and...Alec and Seregil. Alec...well, they are good, those books. The first impression of Seregil, when I realised it was Seregil and he was actually supposed to be one of the main characters...I'm so glad it was only an act.
