He's just too CUTE, with his innocence and angst and crossdressing and .... gah heart
And yeah, I wanted to cry when I saw the ending of Crisis Core ;__; The scream was chilling.

It was. Takahiro Sakurai does the best job on Cloud's voice. He really has his mentality worked out. He can make Cloud sound weak and young and make him sound cool and aloof. whee Sakurai is awesomenesss!! heart

Mm, yes. His voice is a perfect fit for Cloud~ I was very pleasantly surprised with Advent Children :3 (Except Vincent's at first, it was -too- deep lol) His English voice actor is alright too =) And this. It amuses me, and it's kinda hot >w> Clicky for TeH Cloud Pic

Haha, I've seen that pic before. xd Lol, Jhay-R would definitely save that pic. xd
Cloud's English actor was....alright.....not too bad, but not that great either. Takahiro Sakurai pwns! whee But I love the English VA's grunts....especially in Kingdom Hearts where his yells are more frequent, haha.
[And I love Vincent's Japanese voice! It fits him perfectly compared to the English! Though I love Steve Blum, I can't help but say that it doesn't fit!]

Personally I hate Cloud. But I enjoy what he stands for.
You were all right in saying he is one big contradiction, which equals...
anti-hero
Just look at him outside the box. He has no solid identity, broken promises, silence, memory issues, an outcast - he's the exact opposite of everything that a hero must qualify for. If anything, Zack is the real Hero of Seven and he's dead.
He pwns Cloud.
But in contradiction - all those weaknesses, those flaws are what drive Cloud. Because he's a failure he moves forward. As a failed Sephiroth clone he still manages to destroy the baddest of them all.
But the idea that Seph will never die, because he lives in Cloud's memory...interesting problem...
