After Kurt let Rock into Ellen's place, while Rock still held Mary, Kurt went to a private area, and just wept.

Ellen stood in the entryway of her house, completely shocked. Did Kurt just ask me to marry him? She looked at Rock and Mary, who were in her entryway as well. "Um... I'm afraid we haven't met before. I guess you already know Kurt. My name is Ellen." She said, slightly calmer.

Rock bowed and said, "Yes, I know. I came over to see if you could help heal Mary. You see, I heard about you in mineral town when I used to live in Forget me not valley. I used to help bring in patients to the hospital because I would know when someone got hurt, but now...it looks like Mary is beyond our aid. I just could not let that happen. She's been like this for days I am sure. Please help her out Ellen!"

Kurt wept for the reason that he felt that he was going to lose his house if Ellen did not accept.
The blue bird was strutting along and without a word dropped its feather and flew out of the window. Kurt saw it and picked it up. He looked toward the window where the bird could be seen on the fence nearby and he whispered under his breath, "Thank you, my bluebird."
With the feather in his hand Kurt had arrived beside ellen again and said, "The blue bird dropped this willingly for me to give to you. It heard my cries."

Once in his apartment he ran a complete body scan on himself to check for any possible poisoning.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid you are mistaken me for someone else." Ellen said to Rock with a confused expression. "Before I moved here I owned a small bakery... But if you'd like, I'll still do the best I can to help her. I can lay her down in my bed and make her the proper medicine and foods for her to recover. Being a cook, that's all I can do."
Just as she wqas about to lead Rock into her bedroom, Ellen heard Kurt's voice. "Oh Kurt..." Her eyes teared up. "I... I'm so sorry, I have to aid Mary. I... Um..." Marrige! Oh my gosh! He's asking me to marry him! Ellen thought in shock.

Rock just watched over Mary concerned for her. He noticed that Kurt had the blue feather in his hand and said to Ellen, "So you going to accept Kurt's proposal?"

Ellen went to the kitchen to find some ingredients for medicine, leaving the bedroom door open so she could hear what was going on. She dug through the boxes Kurt had stacked up for her in the kitchen and found what she was looking for. She always kept medicine materials with her in case something like this happened. As she pulled out her mixing bowl, she heard Rock's question. "Oh... Um... Well..." Even though they couldn't see her, Ellen was blushing furiously. "I kind of want to... Talk..." She stuttered timidly.

Kurt said, "Ellen, do you know what those men plan to do to the best house I have ever built? They plan on destroying it and building a factory over it. I-I feel so bad that my master cannot even see how good of a job I did. *tears began flowing again* I feel that by getting married I would have a place to live for one, and two, I would be able to provide for someone that is a really kind, generous woman that would do anything to help someone. And besides those things, I do love you. The blue bird is a mysterious creature, but it knows one thing, it knows a person's hopes and dreams and true desires. The blue bird gave me its feather willingly because it knew that I truly desired to become married to you and it also knew what my future held if I did not propose now. i know it is sudden but I am going to be devoted to you. I could help you with your chicken farm and I can help mine some stuff out of the mines to build for you stuff that can give these birds a lifestyle, which no other bird can get. A bird mansion for them and they will have the proper feed in it. Heck, Rock worked at an inn before. I am sure he knows tons of recipes, which these birds would think is gormet! Heck we could hold our own bird festival here and itd be something everyone will want to see. To see all the many different types of birds there are. We could study the birds in peace while watching them. It'd be awesome!"

Ellen hesitated. She didn't know what to say. I know, this marrige will help Kurt, but... Do I love him? She finished the medicine and brought it into the bedroom. After putting the medicine on the bedside table for Rock to give to Mary, Ellen turned to look Kurt straight in the eyes.

Kurt's brown eyes looked back at Ellen. He held her hands and the feather with his gloved ones. He wore gloves strictly for the protection against the sharp rocks in the mines and to prevent splinters from the wood. Plus they added to his gear, which was just a bonus. Kurt's eyes were filled with love and hope. He wanted to kiss her.
Then thinking to himself, "Just do it already, prove your love to her, Kurt." He kissed her. It was a short kiss, but it was filled with love and a meaning that said be mine forever. It was the type of kiss that a woman should know when a man is in love with her and she is his one and only. Even with Mary there, Kurt wanted Ellen.

((Anyone hear of Mushroom Kingdom Hearts yet? Apparently in the new issue of EGM they have a screenshot where it's Sora, Mickey and MARIO (yes THE mario) all wielding Key blades. I think it's their usual April Fools hoax but...who knows.))

((Where'd you hear that? I haven't heard anything like that, but none of my friends are really gaming fans or anything so they wouldn't know...
Aah, so romantic!))
Ellen closed her eyes slowly as they kissed. Once Kurt's lips left hers, she stubbled back a little, blushing even more furiously. "I... Uh..." She put her hand to her lips and looked down at the feather in Kurt's hands.
