Kichea grinned at her mother. "I'm surprised we did it on our own!" She said eagerly staring at the kill. Kichea and her mother did not belong to a pride, therefore had to learn to take down a kill alone. ((Mythee... i know we haven't discussed this... but i figure it works since there are no prides at the moment...)) Normally hunting parties consist of a higher number of lions. While looking at the kill, something shifted in her perefrial((sp?)) vision. She turned, and scanned the area. She saw a small black and white lion, crouched low, eyeing their meal. Kichea smiled to herself, and ran at the cub, allowing her mother to feed first. ((Hey rev... i know you said males eat first... what about the cubs? Do they eat before or after?)) She pounced, landing infront of the male, blocking her mother from veiw. She smiled warmly...

"Ooh! A hunt! Solio would have liked to see that!"

Rackna mewed excitedly, standing quickly. He started to jump around.

"C'mon! Let's go see!!"

He called out to Taifa as he trotted off toward Solio.

"Hey Lolo! There was a hunt! Let's go seeeee!"

He cried out to her, nudging her slightly with his nose. She, startled, jumped slightly. Realizing that it was only her brother, she smiled brightly, for the first time in a while.

"Where?!"

She asked him anxiously, standing, tail flicking impatiently.

(Cubs are last on the feeding hierarchy. But this isn't a pride yet, it's a group of lions who just found each other since the human issue....thing...xD So normal pride rules don't yet apply. *Nod*)

Taifa's eyes widened at the cubs excitement. She was afraid he would go rushing towards this female's kill, and get hurt for doing so.

She stood up quickly, shaking sand off her pelt, and trotted after him.

"Whoa, wait a second!" She called after him "It might not be safe to just...go and bother her..."

She watched the huntress at a distance. A lot more wary now, since they were talking about a grown lioness, now.

"We won't get close! Promise!!"

Rackna called to Taifa. Solio, noticing Taifa's uneasiness, stopped.

"Do you not want us to go see? It's okay, I just like to see when the hunt is on..."

Rackna, on the other hand, didn't realize Taifa's reaction, and he bounded off. Stopping suddenly, Rackna looked over toward the adult female with the prey. His eyes lit up, but he didn't go any closer, just in case.

Kichea looked around, hearing the voices of others. She saw two cubs, and a lavender lioness. She gulped nervously. Were they with this one? She looked at the cub infront of her, he seemed to be about the same size as the others. It was possible they were all related... Did she look vicious when she was running up to play with the the cub? She did run from a fresh kill and pounce at him... and from a distance it could have been perceived as un-friendly... She suddenly found herself very nervous, and far from her mother.

Taifa sighed and shook her head with eyes closed. She soon fixed them again on the scene, and decided to just stay alert, in case anything went wrong.

She watched Rackna's every move, and the reactons of the huntress. The dark cub was looking at then, and Taifa kept an eye on her too.

Tail twitching, muscles tensing, flakes raised...she kept perfectly still.

Solio stopped next to Taifa, scuffing her paw in the sand, eyes on the ground. Taifa wasn't happy, and Solio was afraid it was because of her and Rackna.

"I'm sorry about me and my brother. I'll go get him."

She raced off after her brother, grumbling about him under her breath.

"Hey Rackna! Come back here!"

Rackna looked back at Solio. Grinning sheepishly, he trotted over toward her.

"Yea?"

Kichea noticed the lioness staring at her. She looked at the cub infront of her nervously. "I... have to go..." She muttered, then without turning her back on the cub, she began to retreat back to Ikichi. Walking backwards, and looking at the lioness, Kichea didn't notice the other two cubs behind her, that it untill she tripped over one of them, and landed in the dirt. "Ooph." Kichea grunted as she fell over.

"Oh!"

"Whoa!"

Were Solio and Rackna's surpirsed responses as Kichea tripped over them. They both fell over, tumbling in the sand. Suddenly, Rackna started giggling. Solio, surprised, looked over to him. She blushed brightly.

"Sorry! So sorry!"

She whimpered, dragging the giggling Rackna away with her teeth. He struggled to his feet, still giggling, and Solio let go of him. She growled.

"Come on. You cause so much trouble..."

She muttered, trotting back toward Taifa. Rackna followed her.

"I'm sorry!" Kichea called after them, nervous about them informing their "mother", though the lioness was bound to have seen their encounter. "What is going on around here?" She mumbled to herself as she retreated to her mother's side for protection.

Taifa blinked as she saw the tiny interaction between them. The dark cub looked like a shy one, too. She didn't sense any inminent danger coming from any of them, and settled down again, sphinx-like; this time, under the scorching sun.

As she saw the siblings return to her, she had to laugh. She worried over everything, and anything.

Rackna jogged back to Taifa, still chuckling. Solio, slowing her pace, smiled slightly to Taifa. She laid down a few paces away from Taifa, in the shade, her light colored eyes looking over to her hopefully. Hoping that she wasn't still upset at Rackna. Rackna, bounded right up to Taifa, a large smile on his small face.

"A lion tripped over us!"

He spouted, announcing it proudly, as if he was saying that they had brought down an elephant.

Taifa laughed. Loudly this time, and grinned at Rackna. His mood was contagious.

"I saw it."

Chuckling, she ruffled his fur again, and looked over at Solio.

"What is it little girl? You don't think I'm actually mad at you guys for being curious, do you?"

She purred softly and gave her a short nuzzle.

"I just worried for a moment, there."

In the distance, she could see the dark female with crimson, leopard-like marks, run to her mother. Taifa somehow thought that she had scared her away, and felt slightly guilty.

The small cub looked over towar his sister and shrugged slightly, as if it were normal.

"Solio takes everything too seriously. She doesn't like to mess up."

He told her, sitting down in the warm sand. Solio looked over to Rackna and Taifa, and caught Rackna looking in her direction. He motioned for Solio to come over. Standing, she walked over slowly.

"Um.. yes?"

Solio asked her brother, glancing up at taifa worriedly.

"She's not mad! Don't worry!"

He told her hyperly, standing again. His tail quickly flapped back and forth, like a dogs.

Taifa rolled her eyes, but the warm smile never abandoned her expression.

"You listen to your brother, Solio." She winked at the girl, grinning. "There's nothing to worry about. I only want you to stay out of trouble."

She gave a yawn, displaying twin rows of ivory daggers. Taifa grunted, standing up with a little effort, for the searing heat was already sapping at her strenght, and padded over to the shade in which she was lying, previous to the hunt. She flopped down on her side and let her eyes close, still with a content smile on her muzzle.
