After coming up with a rough path, Hiphistus carefully rolled the precious map and stowed it in hidden pocket of his leather bag, along with a hide-wrapped bundle of the leftover deermeat. "It's time for us to go; Chiron, are you ready for a sprint?" The beast looked up at him, head cocked, "Do you think its really necessary?" The swordsman sighed and said, "I think it is in our best interest to, as well as anything out there that might confuse us with a meal. We don't want to be caught in an incident. As I'm sure you know, our lineage is of no concern over here, if the seekers of the vandals find someone, anyone that they can use as a scapegoat, they won't hesitate to disregard truth."
Chiron nodded slowly, "I suppose your right, as usual. I guess I'm just aching from all that rolling from Galeste. . ."
"Don't worry my friend....going at our pace, we should be at the smithing town of Lemnor in two days' time."
"Then let's get moving."
The two life-long companions strolled out of the cave and broke into a dead-run; The swordsman was gliding smoothly over the ground as if flying; his gunna neatly secured across his packed, and his cloak billowing behind him. The pangolin rolling along briskly at his heel.

Draco stands up ears straining. She just heard the sound of a person running through the forest. She leaps down to the earth, landing as neatly and quietly as a cat. Sword suddenly in her right hand. The swordsman already gone from her sights, She takes off. Sprinting afer her prey, her cat like eyes piercing through the night. A barn owl races and glides next to her. No words or noises are uttered but the owl zooms off ahead. Breaking through the upper canopy, flying high, watching the ground. With graceful strides she blazes through the forest with the intensity of a backdraft. Hunting with the efficiency that had made her infamous through the land

"Chiron." The swordsman spoke calm and softly despite his furious headlong pace. "We will go 20 miles....and rest at the Clearing of the Tiger...we have a shadow, and I fear it has more endurance than we." The scale-covered sphere rolling across the hard-packed earth didn't need to respond to his master and friend. Through their long travels together they had developed an empathy of unimaginable strength. The thoughts of these two travelers are freely exchanged with eachother without so much as an ounce of effort.
After the nest rise, the rising sun had just emerged in its entirety from the horizon of the rain-drenched forest canopy; showering the travelers in their blazing pace with bright golden rays...Just as so many mornings before.
