Rayne stared at him, bewildered. "You can talk?" She asked slowly, glancing at the cat by her feet. He licked his lips, crouching to pounce on the crow. "Steady, Solemn. I beleive this creature is a friend, of some sort."

A chuckle came from a nearby tree, a young looking boy sitting on a low hanging branch. "Don't worry...you learn to love them once you get used to 'em." he murmured, standing up and stretching. "But sometimes they get to be slightly pesky...begging for food and what not." The boy smiled at her. "I'm Wes...you're not from around here are you, miss?"

She shook her head, looking up at the boy quizzically. "I'm Rayne. And no, I'm not. I'm...a bit of a nomad, to put it lightly." She stared at him, looking puzzled. Haven't I seen him before...?

Wes chuckled again, bowing slightly. "It's a pleasure to have you here. I was adopted a short while ago...You should meet my mother. I swear you'll like here." He mused, a cheery smile lighting his face. "And who's this?" he asked, bending down to Solemn and reaching his hand out timidly. "Whoever they, they're a beautiful cat if I do say so myself."

Solemn sniffed his hand, inclining his head gracefully. "Your mother, eh?" Rayne muttered, stiffening visibly, "..Lucky you. I haven't seen my mother or my sister in years....Auds must be all grown up by now..." She looked away, then back at Wes. "I'm sorry. Just thinking."

Wes stratched Solemn behind the ears, smiling childishly. He looked up at her straightening up. "Well...the night is still young. I think she's just eating right now. She's been following her boyfriend hand and foot for the past few days." He rolled his eyes slightly at that. "But I'd gladly show you our home? It's giant...if you don't have place to stay, Rayne."

Solemn purred, glancing up at Wes. Rayne smiled gratefully, "Oh, thank you!" She gushed, grinning at him, "I won't impose on you for long, I swear."

Wes smiled, scratching the back of his head wearily. "No really, it's fine. Just as long as you're not out to kill people like...well vampire's like my mum then I suppose you can stay until you can find yourself a good house." Wes petted Solemn again. "And Audrey doesn't bite...that hard."

Wes waved after the crow, smiling. "Take care, hope everything works out okay." Wes turned back to Rayne. "So whaddya say?"

Just as long as you're not out to kill people like...well vampire's like my mum then I suppose you can stay until you can find yourself a good house." Wes petted Solemn again. Wes started to walk further away from the town, beckoning to her. "My mum is very anti social when it comes to people...she only goes to town to eat." Wes started to walk into the undergrowth of the forest. It was dark and eerie and you could hear crows cawing from a distance but also the creatures within the forest. He walked in nonchalantly, yawning. This used to be his home before she found him.

Felix sat on the edge of the cliff overlooking the dirt road and watched as his falcon glided through the air then swooped down above several people.
