"How exacting of you both." She says as she licks her "silverware" clean, and then gulps down the last of her tea. "It was pretty good, sir. Thank you for the eats."

"Quite welcome," Thomas says to Mercy, seeming very pleased as he continues cleaning.

Philip stands, finished his meal. "Well, I guess we should be off, then, if everyone is ready."

"Yep, I'm ready." She grins and hops to her feet, apparently much more awake after eggs and tea.

"Thanks for the grub. Start messing around with dried meat on a stick, people will love it."

Philip leads the way to town square. In the center is a statue... a rather old one... of four warriors. They are the typical group you'd expect of a fantasy adventuring party... a strong man with a sword, a slender woman with a bow, an old wisened man with a staff, and another woman with a mace. The stonework is incredible, especially considering the tools that must have been used to carve it. The town elder stands nearby, smiling.

Mercy quirks up an eye at the statue and groans inwardly, her good mood apparently dying before it had the chance to blossom fully.

And I have no clue how to use a bow or a mace... So androcentric of them.

"Those," explained Philip, "were the original four warriors. Sixty years ago, they defended this town from another threat... the necromancers. Thanks to them, the undead are banished to roam the graveyard, and unable to attack our town. That one," he says, pointing to the man with the sword, "is now our town elder, Greymere."
