With a nod, Melody forced another smile, although it was still a sad one. She sighed, and couldn't help but stare at the clouds, as it seemed they were threatening to rain somewhere in town-perhaps here, perhaps elsewhere. She didn't know, but she could tell it would rain. Just not nessicarilly here.

"I...I noticed your t...tears," he forced out. He had to talk to her and he had to find out what was wrong. His gut feeling told him he should do this, so he did his best. He wasn't good with girls like her. He didn't know what else to say. He only wished that saying this wasn't a mistake. He didn't want to intrude on her. He prepared himself for what she had to say next. If she didn't want him there, he was ready to walk away. This was just his fear telling him he should leave. Logically, there was no reason to worry.

Gabe felt eyes upon him and turned to see a person watching him. He couldnt tell their gender from where he was but guessed by their posture tey were female. He wondered if she was here to tell him and leave. He saw there wasnt a cloud in the sky, which was the opposite of how he felt. 'Change Weather' he said and invoked his power. Sddenly clouds began to form and rainegan to fall, centering around the pond and slowly spreading outard. The odd thing was that as the water fell the people it touched were unaffected, as if it wasnt real.

She looked up at the sudden change of weather. She brought up the hood of her jacket. She looked at other people and saw they acted as if it wasn't raining. She walked over to the guy by the water and sat down beside"Hi, funny weather" she murmured.

Melody smiled again, though it seemed more forced then before. A single tear escaped her eye. "I...." she took a deep breath and explained the whole thing, and to her it was surprising that getting out made her feel better.
Blushing slightly she said, "Sorry if you think I'm a crybaby..."

"N..no I don't think that a-at all," he said. He paused for a moment. He wanted to continue with what he was going to say. He fought himself to talk. "I'd...I'd probably cry, t...too." He was starting to feel more uncomfortable by continuing to talk. It should have been showing up in his voice and the way he avoided eye contact. But she either hadn't noticed or she's ignoring it. It was also surprising to Darien that she was still talking to him.

After a moment she did notice, however. "I-I'm sorry..." she looked down to the ground once more, after apolagizing for making him uncomfortable.

"For what?" he asked, a little confused as to what she was apologizing for. He took a quick look at her, even though her face was pointed to the ground. He had this little urge to touch one of her ears just then, since he was looking at them. His hand raised up off of the bench, but he resisted and put it back down.

Not noticing his hand as it rose for a moment she continued to look at the ground. "For...for everything. I can tell you're uncomfortable...Sorry for being a bother."

"I...it's no bother at all. It's just me. I'm really having a hard time talking to you," he said. He took a few seconds. Actually he hadn't been doing to bad. He held up a conversation with her, even though he was stuttering. "It's just that...nevermind. I'll just sound stupid."

Melody sighed, "Is it...who I am?" She wanted to know if he was having troubloe because of who she was...as was the reason everyone had always teased her.

"W...well, if by that you mean an elf, no. It's...." he started to say, but stopped. He moved to the further end of the bench. "You're .... a girl." He started to sweat a little. He felt like he had to answer her questions, but he wanted to avoid saying she was attractive to him. When he thought about her that way some more, he almost felt like he was suffocating. He had never been this nervous before. Of course, before, he had never had someone he was attracted to talk to him like this.

Melody smiled and said, "I see...I...do have some troubles speaking to you..." she took a breath. "Because you're someone." She blushed slight, but decided that she should explain further, "Few people...have ever...been nice to me."

Gabe looked and noted the girl next to him and felt himself panic. FOr a moment the water became real before it disspaeared, leaving only him somewhat soaked with water. "Um..yes, it is." He wondered why she was talking to him, but decided not to ask, he figured this was her spot and that he was intruding. He turned and began to walk away, wondering if the tree was still unoccupied.

After she said those things he suddenly felt a little more comfortable, though he didn't understand why. "Why not?" he asked, with a little awe in his voice. He sighed. "Is it because you're an elf?" It likely was that and that made Dar a little outraged. 'Who would ever be unkind to someone like her?' he thought to himself.
