He noticed her slowing down and figured she was ready to stop for the night. Maybe he could get her while she was sleeping... Just a little bite, after all he felt so drained at the moment. He eyed her chest hungrily as he pulled himself into a tree nearby.

She figured it had been the wind rustling leaves in the trees around her, and she sighed, wondering how she'd come to this. It was almost as if her eyes couldn't have been better colored, just entirely undecisive, like her. It was beyond her how to explain to someone that she was vampyric, but not wanting to rule, or kill. Or even hate.
It was an unattainable future ahead of her, and she knew it. Her shoulders dropped as she reached around for the stashed blanket under the roots of the mighty tree. Ah, the whole where it should.. be... She bit her lip, and took a deep breath trying to stop from sobbing. It had been stolen. Fantastic. She held her knees close and stared at the black pond some fifty feet away.

Her sorrow reached Baizou and made his decision even more resolute. Whoever this was needed a nice fresh slate. He would devour her worries for the moment and maybe she'd even fall asleep happy! He was so pleased and excited, he could feel his canines elongating and sharpening in order to pierce her flesh without pain. He slid from his hiding spot, slinked up behind her, and locked her arms, "Please do not scream or struggle. I am not here to hurt you." He said in her ear.

Her brain couldn't function to make words as she only nodded and a few tears slid down her face. She knew full well that with a couple of movements, depending on reaction, she could over power him, and get a healthy drink of blood, but she sat still, with a sound nod. "My blood is of no interest to y-" she stopped. He didn't smell like a vampyre. What on earth...

Baizou laughed lightly, "So, you noticed that I do not drink blood." He mused, gently moving himself so that he could face her. "To be honest, I eat souls. Not all of it. Just a little bit. Just enough to clear your mind for a few hours. It does not hurt and I promise you will not forget anything important." He bit his lower lip, "I... am just hungry."

Her multicolored eyes stared at his, and as it confused her, she just let it slide. She nodded, and her legs relaxed instead of keeping uncomfortably tightened. "Will it make me warm?" she asked in a monotone low voice, that was just in its own way innocent. She needed the clear head, and she wished she could forget more than she had meant. Her soul would definitely be one of many sections. After what she had gone through, seh was sure it couldn't be whole anymore.

Baizou shrugged, "I cannot even get my own body warm, so I am afraid I cannot help you, there." he said, loosening his grip a little bit. He pushed a bit of her shirt aside, trying to trace where her soul was strongest.

She nodded, looking away and waiting. Nothing made a fraction of sense to her now, and she wondered if she were truly at a loss here, and she took a minute to actually look at her.. assailant. Deep red hair, the color of her left eye, and... ears.. unique none the less.

His green eyes finished scanning her over before he nodded. "Get ready," He warned before plunging his teeth into her chest, just above where her heart would be. His mind searched for her worries and drew them out. It was a little slow, but it was gentle and relaxing. After a few moments, he pulled out and smiled, feeling energized and alive. "Thank you." he told her, wiping his lips with the back of his sleeve.

She looked down and watched the deep red blood pool over the puncture wounds. "I suppose goodbye then." she said, her eyes locked on his ears, then just staring off into the distance at the eery reflection of the moon in the black pond. "You've got what you need, no?" she asked, her lips moving barely, and her eyes glazing as her brain tried to keep forming words.

"You are feeling all right, then?" He asked, arranging the cuffs of his sleeves. She had really been his first willing 'victim' in several months and he hoped he hadn't taken too much. "You seem to have all your memories, correct?"

"I.." she paused, and nodded softly, biting her lip and looking away again. "It seems... so." she said, her voice a bit lighter now as she shivered quite a bit and her hand reached up in a frail manner and tried to cover her chest again to contain whatever body heat she could.

Baizou watched her mannerisms and slowly pulled his coat off. Without looking at her, he held it out. "You look cold." He said, keeping his arm out, "So use it for the night, but I would like it back in the morning or I will never get my body going."

Her small arms slid into it without a second thought, and she nodded, taking a deep breath. "Where will I find you? Or.. will you just.. be.. back?" she asked, her glazed eyes trying to focus on his face.

He shrugged, "I tend to sleep where I stop." He said, "So it will probably be in this area." Baizou scanned around, "That tree looks good, so I will be sleeping in there." He added, pointing to the nearby maple.
