xmkatx Yay for recruiting. biggrin I listened to so much Sonic Youth I don't remember names of any of their songs. it's probably more fun that way. i must say, watching thurston all but whip his c**k out and ******** his guitar on the edge of the stage is a delight. here ends spamchatter.

Hi. I'm Aria. Often called Maggie. I started living with 5 film students last September so I've been thrust into the world of International Film. When watching movies, I often tell my roommates and friends to put away "the film c**k" as I call it and the word juxtaposed is banned. We watch a lot of Italian and Japanese films.
Sarah recruited me.
Edit: I started watching Anime and Kung Fu movies with my brother 15 years ago (before it was cool as he says). I guess that was my start with International film.

Hello! I'm new to Gaia too, so I hope I'm posting this right x_x
I love foreign films because I get terribly bored of American ones sometimes, they can be so cliche...my favorite (foreign) movies are Battle Royale and The Returner (I've watched them a million times). I also saw Zatoichi at Otakon 2004 (Kitano version)...that too was excellent. I'm getting a copy of Ichi the Killer to see soon, that also looks quite good. Joined to get some more suggestions on films!

Woo! Otakon! I missed their screening of Electric Dragon 80,000V. Not that I wanted to spend my time watching movies or anime there. I know you were at the L'arc concert. xd
Have fun with Ichi the Killer when you see it. It's a very extreme film.

The L'Arc concert..*dies*
I was really disappointed that I missed the showing of Hero. I only went Saturday and the screening was Friday....but I'm going to see it when it comes out in a few weeks, it looks excellent but I was surprised to see that Quentin Tarantino is directing it. O.O

O.O Tarantino isn't directing Hero. He just brought it to the US theaters. 3nodding Hero is directed by the great Zhang Yimou. Hey, where did you sit for the L'arc concert? My sister and I lined up like 3 hours in advance. xd
