Nienna laughed softly and leaned back into the couch. She wasn't exactly sure when she'd ever sat on it, since she was on a stool before, but what ever worked!

"I'm actually preferanced towards brownies and waffles." She smiled crookedly and removed her reading glasses. "If I do say so myself, I make killer brownies."

Calli tossed the bowl of pancake batter at Kiri ("Here ya go!") and flipped her pancake. "I love brownies! We should have a junk food party! Feel like making some right now, Professor Nienna?"

Draco was sulking. The day had been a string of disasters, but nothing could top sharing a girl with Kiri. He shuddered. He needed a drink or maybe a really excellent slice of chocolate cake. Yes, he would have to settle for the cake. Normally, he wouldn't have worried about teaching drunk, but right then, he couldn't depend on himself to not do something completely idiotic, like chat up a student or tell the entire class about his relationship woes. The day was bad enough without him doing something that he would never live down. He tickled the pear on the enormous fruit bowl still life and the door knob appeared. He turned it and the door to the kitchens swung open.

It was when he stepped inside that he realized that his day had actually got worse.

Alair smiled at Neinna. "Brownies are one of my favorites! I'd love to try some as well."
Kiri huggled the bowl greedily and summoned a spachula from the counter nearby. Using her newly found device, she started scraping out the pancake batter from the bowl. "We should have a junk food party!!
Alair face-palmed with a sigh. "Kiri, you're such a comfert food whore! It's either the truffles or the pancakes, make up your mind!"
"But they're both soooo good!!"
"Kiri..." Alair said in a warning voice.
"Nuuuuuuu!" Kiri squealed in a battle cry voice and James-bonded over the couch again. "You Shalt not take mah Truuufles!" The muggle-studies teacher whined in relatiation after she was on the floor on the oposite side of the couch, followed by chucking a truffle in the general direction of Alair. It' hit him square in the forehead.
"KIRI!" Alair growled. He lunged over the side of the couch with his upper-body, snatching the bowl of truffles away and sitting back down indian-style on the couch, using the back of it as a baracade.
Kiri yelped indignatly and flung a sploch of pancake batter in Alair's general difection. It stuck in his hair.
Alair threw a truffle.
Bigger splotch.
Bigger Truffle.
Spachula.
Oven Mit.
Shoe.
Pillow.
Pancake bowl.
Truffle bowl.
House elf.
"HEY! That's House-elf Cruelty!"
"Oh. Sorry Bumpkins!"
"'tis alright mistress!"
Soon enough a war had started between the two complete with victory cries and hissing- that is, until the door opened.
"Draco!"
"Betrügender Dumpkoff!"
Alair blinked at Kiri's nickname for his please still be even though we're on break? lover, a giant blush of humiliation spilling over his face to be found in such a childish war of banter. "What did you call him?"
"Err, nothing!" Kiri laughed nervously. Inside, her mind was screaming. <********, Damn, s**t, CHEATING BASTERD!! What the ******** is he doing here?!?!
Alair gave her 'the look'. The look that ment 'Tell me now or you don't get home-made mochi for a week'.
Kiri gulped and scooted away. "N-nothing, I swear!"
Alair continued to glare.

((Holay crap. I think this one deserves to be put up as an SuS. I feel bad though 'cause It took me forever to post and it seems like I was kinda god-moding the time along sweatdrop . Sorry if this was the case!!))

Draco's mouth went very dry. What do I say? He didn't say anything. He snapped at a house elf to get him a slice of chocolate cake and a cup of tea, and it ran off to find some. "Alair, come here. I need to tell you something before Kiri does," he said, gesturing for him to come over to where Draco stood. He never has to know, Draco reassured himself. Kiri will keep her mouth shut until it's too late. He clasped his hands behind his back. All Alair had to do was trust him and take the bait. Alair had done it unfailingly every time before. He would do it now. Wouldn't he? Draco bit his lip. Ten years! Trust me, you b*****d.

Calli mourned the truffle that had been thrown at Alair before tossing her finished pancake on a plate and smothering it with maple syrup, whipped cream, and strawberries. She took the first few bites while dodging flying shoes and house-elves before finding a decent hiding location behind one end of the couch.

When the portrait door opened up, Calli peeked over the arm and watched the entrance of Draco, promptly followed by a blushing Alair arguing with Kiri. She decided that something was up and moved into a better position to watch while still eating her pancakes.

((Gah! The one day I'm not online because the computer at home has virus, and something actually happens! Glad to see a new SuS/in-play post, coco-chan.))

The siblings froze, both of the joking looks being whiped off their faces but for entierly different reasons.
He's not... You're shitting me! There's no way he's actually learned not to be a d**k within the last 10 minutes that I've left him alone! I mean, sure, I'm pretty damn intimidating, but that's not the point! What the hell is going on?!
What the hell is going on?! Kiri was hiding something from me? What happened?!Wh-what is Draco going to say?! This day can't get any worse, can it?
s**t. Things are going to get worse, I can just feel it. Oh ********, Alair! Please be strong! Please don't break again... I don't think I'd be able to fix you this time.
This time. Just this one ******** time will you not make an idiot out of yourself? God damn it, stop crying over everything Draco has to say! Stop being so weak! Bloody hell, this is why he want's to get away from you so bad! You're too sodding pathe- Alair forcivley cut off his split second train of thought with a blink. This whole self-loathing thing was really started to get on his nerves, especially at times like this where Draco was standing there impationtly while his mind went on an emotional roller coster. As soon as his feet caught up with his brain, Alair hopped up off the couch, trying to appear normal. "Err, okay?"
Kiri was still glued to the floor. Think! Think damn it, think! What's worse, telling Alair right now before Draco does so that he knows the complete and blaten truth? But then you would have to watch him suffer and know it's your fault. But if Draco tells him, he might tell him something else that's wrong and then Alair would be even more confused if he hears another version! But he's gonna hear Draco's version anyways. But- The thought struck her like a bolt of lightning. Who would he beleive? Alair had a case of blind love. Really, really strong, yet blind love. He would beleive anything the cheating basterd said without a second thought! Kiri didn't know what hurt more- the fact that Alair could be so easily manipulated or the complete realization that Draco had a better chance at getting away with the murder of Alair's heart then Kiri had to save him. Before she could think about what she was saying, Kiri blurted out her brother's nickname.
"Ally!"
Alair turned around as his sister called him, his heart giving a leap. Please explain why you didn't say anything? Why did you lie? What's going on? "Yeah?" he asked simply, though it was a little faster then he'd ment to say it.
Wait. She'd said something? Wait! Now was her chance! Tell him now! Tell him now or he'll never know the truth! God damn it woman, SAY IT-"Ally..." All of a sudden something in Kiri's blunt, percistant firey beliefs stopped. Don't break. I don't think I can fix you again! And here comes surface Kiri. She smirked, WRONG pointing at the giant bow on his back WHAT THE ******** IS WRON- "Do you really fancy prancing about in that frilly pink apron that much?" ...WHAT THE-
"s**t!" Alair's face went as red as a cherry and he began to tear at the bow. That he was not prepared for. His previous, serious train of thought vanished and was replaced with 'I was seriously about to just have conversation with Draco that could decide what our future together, if any, would be, while wearing a frilly pink and blue Apron!?!?' "You could have told me sooner!!"
Kiri smiled fakely, something Alair would have recognized in an instant had he been paying more attention. "I suppose, but it's just so amusing to see you in it~!"
Alair scowled and pulled the garment off, throwing it at his sister so it landed on her head. "Kiri no Rorikon!" Alair pouted at her before turning to face Draco and walking forwards.
Good. Just keep his sense of humor up. That's all he needs right now. She was a horrible, horrible person and she new it. Her brother was walking straight into who-knows-what kinda of s**t and she was just sitting there, watching him go. It made her sick. She pulled the apron off of her head to see him walk away. The symbolism was almost too hard for her to bare. Instead, she swallowed her pain and managed to let out a flawless giggle. She had to do something though; something to stay connected. "Love ya Ally~" She called out in the teasing voice they used back and forth so often. Her voice was, again flawless. Her stance held firm and unwavering, even though she was sitting on the floor, a frilly pink apron drapped halfway off her head and her clothed smudged in white chocolate and strawberry filling from the mini-war they had had just a few moments before. The only crack in her fabricated profile was her eyes. They were clouded and dark, nothing like the sparkling green they obtained on a daily basis. Dark and alone, filled with the self-loathing of letting him go. Why had she even done that? She couldn't remember. Just the fact that she needed to keep a profile. Keep it until he was out of the room.
"Love ya too Nee-chan~" He called back in the same tone his sister had used. He didn't give it a second thought instead approuching Draco in a more self confident way. He felt better now oddly, the odd comment from his sister breaking the anxiety he felt- Wow. Had that really only been a few seconds ago? It felt like a lifetime in slow motion. And now he was next to Draco, his blush almost disapated by this time. "What 'tis it?" He asked in a more cheerful voice.
Kiri felt like she was going to be sick.

Draco motioned for Alair to follow him and he stepped out back into the darkened corridor. He didn't want Kiri to know what he was about to tell Alair because if Alair was the only one who heard, Kiri would have a far harder time finding an innocent reason to pry it out of Alair and it was clear from her apron comment that she had no desire to tell him the truth. Well, she had some desire, but she didn't want to crush him. He had been crushed once in his life and that was enough for any person. Draco stood awkwardly in the middle of the hallway, waiting for Alair to follow and shut the door to the kitchens behind him. He shifted from foot to foot. How do you tell a person this sort of thing? Draco was, for one of many times in his life, incredibly grateful that he had not married Pansy and had a hoard of adorable children to whom he would often have to break bad news like "sorry, sweetheart, you don't get a pony for Christmas" or "Santa Clause isn't real" because, in that split second between when a person hears the news and when a person thinks to be polite, the look of complete and utter despair on a face was too much for Draco too bear more than once in a very long while. He set his mouth in a thin straight line and folded his arms over his chest.

Calli jumped up next to Kiri as Draco and Alair disappeared into the hallway. "I get the feeling something terrible's happening. Should I be aware of the situation?" She asked lightly, treading carefully over this unknown ground. The pancakes were forgotten in light of this new dilema.

Alair waited pationtally after they got out of the kitchen, or at least, he tried to be pationt. His silly, everything-would-be-alright train of thought had deminished and he was faced back to reality. What was Draco going to tell him? Why was it taking so long to say? Once Draco made his pose, Alair was relly curious, and starting to get more then a little nervous. "Draco?" He asked softly, concerned about Draco's lack of unequivocalness.

Back inside the kitchen, Kiri continued to sit on the floor. As soon as that door shut she let out a huge sigh. Yuck. Icky icky, yuck, bad, You're a HORRIBLE PERSON I HOPE YOU REALIZE THAT!!! And she did. She rubbed her temple under stress while attempting to build herself back up again. I'm not out of the woods yet. Neinna and Calli are still here, remember? She sighed again and kept to concintrating, for it was all she could do for now.
When asked a question by Calli, Kiri blinked out of her daze. Like hell some stranger was going to find out about this insanity. It was confusing enough already without any roomers flying about, but Kiri phrased this in a nicer, more Kiri-ish way. She patted the student on her head. "No need for you to worry your pretty little head off. There are more important things in life! Such as wether or not we're going to go through with this deserty-idea!"

Draco looked at Alair and saw the expression on his face, and for one moment, he considered telling him everything that he had kept from him &the secrets, the lies, all the deception& from the past ten years and driving him away once and for all so he could be with someone who was sweet and kind and excepting and got along with Kiri and the owner of a house in which Alair could happily spend the rest of his days cooking to his heart's delight and not a complete and utter a*****e like he was.

But he didn't.

Draco was a selfish a*****e, too. He swept Alair up into a fierce hug, burying his face in the crook of Alair's neck. "I love you, and don't you ever doubt it," Draco said, his voice muffled against Alair's skin. Draco was pleased that it was not a lie.

Alair froze for a second, a little taken aback. He'd been expecting some horrible news that Kiri had refrained form telling him because it could mean the death of his fragil little heart, but this. This was something completely different.
In the split second it took for him to freeze, he melted. Alair wrapped his arms around Draco's neck and held him with the fierocity to match his lover. He let out a small 'ha' of a laugh, out of sheer relief for being saved from his savouge train of thought that had been killing him the half of the day. "Draco... I never want to doubt you." Alair said quietly next to Draco's ear, and kissing his lover's neck softly. "I love you too." He held onto Draco for all he was worth, running his hand threw the blond's smooth hair. "I love you." He wispered quieter this time, if only for the feel of the words for the person in his arms.

Calli could still see the worry in Kiri's eyes, but decided distraction was better than confrontation. "Yes, deserts! We need to have massive desserts and stay up all night and gossip and do MASH and have lots and lots of fun!" She squealed very quickly, bouncing up and down a little.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 12, 2006 8:26 pm

Nienna guided her eyes away from the two lovers, and offered a lovely grin in the other participant's direction. She stood slowly, walking in the direction of one of the stoves and checking for items she might need.

"I suppose we can have a dessert night. Just be sure not to spread the word among other students," Nienna winked at Calli, her grin fully blooming across her lips. "We don't want anyone to feel jealous."

Kiri grinned, hoping back up to her feet. "That's more like it! Chocolate chocolate chocolate~!" Kiri chanted happily, before stopping in her tracks. She allowed a small pout to light her face. "Awe, foo! I jsut rememberd I was gonna watch a movie with Ally..." She dropped her foot that she had lifted to go over to the stove to c**k her head to the side. "What to do, what to do~." She ponderd aloud.
