Viera stood her ground, not moving back as kaira moved towards her with her gauntlets. "I swear, one more step and that pretty head of yours will be on the floor with no neck to support it any longer!" Viers swung her sword high above her head to torment and prove her threat and saw kaira wince at first at the sudden swift movement. No more bluffing or joking. Its serious now. I'm not afraid to kill you!

~Kaira gulped and then sighed, "Viera....I really don't haev tiem for this...some other time maybe? Follow me if you will but I really have to get going. Besides our cuts will get infecfed if we stay out here in the rain not to mention a cold." Kaira smiled lightly her sharp teeth showing almost like fangs. "So what do you say?"
Dropping her weapons back to her sides she stood without any protection awaiting her answer.~

NO! It's MY job and I am going to fulfill it!! ::Viera kicks Kaira in the chest, making her fall. Vierasuddenlt felt a twang of pain, she shook her head to try and rid the guilt and aimed her samurai sword only millimetersaway from kaira's neck, hovering. "You wanna die just say the word. Give me one reason why I shouldn't.."

~Kaira looked to her, her dark purple eyes full of pain and yet guilt. Waht was Kaira hiding from everyone else? What was so important that she had to hold a mask up?
Losing it for a few second she composes herself them says, "Go ahead! Kill me and get it over and done with it, your boss will love you more for it!" She kept her eyes open burning hard into Viera's own.~

Kaira's words echoed into Viera's head, playing and replaying itself constantly..Why aren't I killing her?! Viera thought, Just do what she said! kill her! kill her! Free her of her miserable life! Do it now! But Viera's hand didn't thrust the sword forward into the flesh of Kaira. Her hand trembled and her face was screwed up in a mixture of a million thoughts and words. Viera strained her hand on the handle of her sword and her knuckles were white. She then sighed and turned her back to Kaira, giving Kaira a chance to get away. "Now get out of my sight...before I change my mind". Viera didn't face her, she was too afraid that Kaira would see the pain and and tears in Viera's eyes. She knew Kaira was still behind her on the floor, probably sitting there in shock. "PISS OFF!" Viera screamed, her blood rushing and her temper rising...she heard footsteps getting more and more distant until only the pitter patter of the rain could be heard. Viera put her sword back in its sheath and walked in the other direction, not understanding herself any more.

~Kaira raised an eyebrow as she walked away her dark black hair stuck to her face, "What was that all about...she looked lost." Kaira shook her hair as she looked to the floor, blood was seeping all around her, "s**t...I need to get this sorted out.
kaira sighed and made her way to someone that could help her, no way in this lifetime would she die from some silly kid.~

"Hrmph, finished."
Rose had finished making her wooden mask. She had stolen the wood from a wood carver's workshop and some paint to make it look a tad interesting and frightening. Rose's mask was painted black with golden painted stripes, and purple dots underneith the curved eyeholes, and a perfect, painted on mischivious grin. Not only would it hide Rose's face, but would spook those around her. Especially that weird man that's heading for her father's book shop.
Rose put on the frighting mask and could see through it perfectly. She could hear music in the distance coming from the tyants home.
"Jeez, does that friggin pervert ever stop marrying?" Rose asked her self.
"Bah, not my buissness."
Rose jumped on to the next roof and headed for her dad's bookshop.

"What do you mean you couldn't find her!?" Demanded Viera's boss, sitting in the shadows so she could never see him. "I gave you her address, where she was, what she was doing and how she was doing it and you couldn't find her!?" He continued in an enraged manner.
"There may have been a change of plans!" Viera said, trying to justify herself. Viera didn't like lying, but it's what she had to do in order to still keep on doing what she loved. Her boss slowly stood up and grabbed Viera's face in his left hand, his grip on her lower jaw tightening, he pulled Viera towards him and he forced his lips upon hers, pressing them together, now they were both in the dark shadows. Viera was utterley shocked and didn't dare move...just incase something worse would happen. He then drew back and shoved her away, back to the light, his force almost knocking her to the ground.
"I want that girl dead, Viera."

((@@*#*@^#!&^#&%!@!$^*@^$*@^!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry everyone. It must have been a glitch in gaia or something, but to me it looked like everyone double/triple posted. I tried to delete them, but then I realized that the posts were linked to the previous page and they were deleted too. gonk >_< gonk So, as I deleted the doubles, the original ones dissapeared too. crying I'm really really sorry! crying >_< However, I did manage to copy it and save some of it. The only thing I'm missing is one of Viera's posts so I'll try to re-create it from my memory. sweatdrop I'M SORRY!!!!)) Dragoon_Arcadia ((Nice post Viera!)) ~Kaira lay on a bed on her stomach, she winced as some anti-septic was put onto the wound, "Ow! careful Dal that hurts..." She groaned into the pillow, Dal watched her and thought to himself 'Kai..you really don't have to keep the mask up.' Kaira sat up after he had finished with her marks and looked at her. "Why me? What else can go wrong today?" Kaira stood up and moved over to the window, watching the rain fall to the ground, Sighing she lowered her head and began to think. Dal moved over to her and placed his arms around her waist. Resting her head on his she said, "No-one knows?" Dal shook his head and then pressed his lips to her head, "No-one knows not yet anyway." Kaira noded then turned around, pulling her arms around him, her bak burned but she didn't care all she needed was him and the hope that she will get out one day. "I need a bath..." Kaira laughed and then let him go. She moved into the bathroom and then set about to have a bath. Dal watched her and said to himself quietly, "you will get out Kai...believe me...you will."~ Viera-Chan Viera walked through the same streets where she was going to kill Kaira. The townsfolk all ran away from her and tried to hide, as they had already seen what she could do with her samurai sword. Viera kept thinking to herself about why she couldn't just guide the sword through Kaira's neck. It would have been simple and quick... But no... There was something about Kaira that Viera couldn't quite put into words. She had killed many before, so why would this one make her second guess herself? She had to go back and finish the job. Her boss might not let her off so easy if she failed again. The surprising kiss was already enough. She knew that her boss had power, and could do things to her that could have been worst. Even if she quit and ran away, she was sure that he would send assassins after her. Viera headed in the direction of Kaira's home once more... Dragoon_Arcadia ~Kaira stood near the window of her house looking out across the landscape. "I wonder...." She looked down to the book that held all her thoughts and feelings. "Today is not my day.......what the?" She looked to see Viera walking down the street. "What is she doing?" Kaira made her way down to the front door and opened it. Waiting for Viera to come within talking range.~ Viera-Chan Viera suddenly noticed Kaira only a few feet away at her front door, obviously not understanding why she was there. "uh..Kaira..." Viera stuttered, but then she then heardened her heart to Kaira and narrowed her eyes slyly, "I didn't get to finish up before, did I?" She sneered as she put her hand on the handle of her samurai sword that was in its sheath resting on her back. She saw the suprise in Kaira's eyes and smirked, "What's wrong? Scared?" Viera teased, her eyes once again like chips of ice, drinking Kaira in slowly, absorbing all her fears...

~Gulping quietly, Kaira looked to Viera. "You wouldn't....not in the condition you are in. You look as if you will faulter at any moment." Kaira's eyes burned softly into Viera's.
Sighing she kicked the door open a little bit, "do what you will Viera. I won't stop you, you want me dead..then kill me. I'm defenceless anyway...." Shaking her haead her dark black hair falls across her face giving her an eerie glow.
"Well?" Kaira asks slowly yet forcefully.~

((but..but..BUT....!!!! cry waahh!! that was the best post I ever made and now its gone!! crying crying crying why is life so unfair!?))
Viera drew out her sword and put it infront of her, eady to strike... she knew she couldn't do it..but she had to, for her boss and her job... it had to be done, she swung the sword above her head and saw sudden fear in kaira's eyes, darting from Viera's face to the raised sword, Viera swung it forward at Kaira...

...
CLANG!! The sword was dropped...no blood...Kaira was still alive and Viera was well aware of it. She fell to her knees and sobbed, feleing Kaira's shocked eyes staring at her once again.

~Kaira looked at Viera, shocked she knelt down and rested a shaky hand on her shoulder, "Viera?"
'What is going on here? She's trying to kill me and here I am trying to help her.' Sighing, Kaira pulled her into a hug, "Killer or not you are too young to be doing this." Kaira said quietly.
After a short time she pulled Viera up and said softly, "come, I'll take you inside, you are in no state to go back to your boss whoever he is." She said with a small growl, even though she didn't know who this person was she hated the fact that they wanted a young girl to kill for no reason. "Viera...if you let me...I'll help you ok?" Sheeing Viera look up at her, Kaira smiled then took her into the house, shutting the door behind herself and Viera.~

Viera's shoulders shook with her head lowered as she sobbed, not understanding herself anymore...
I'm like a ghost of myself...empty and bereft of feeling... ... floating around aimlessley... She thought solemnly.
Viera heard the clang of cutlery and cups as Kaira was making them both a cup of tea. When Kaira set the teacup on the hard oak table, she sat down herself and gazed into Viera's eyes. Viera felt as if Kaira was drinking her in, understanding all of ther thoughts... slowly seeping into her. Viera sipped the hot steaming tea and flinched.
"Oh it's a bit hot, sorry." Said Kaira. The tension in the air was so thick you could have cut a knife through it. Kaira rested her hand on Viera's, her soft eyes were like pools of sympathy.
"If you have anything you want to tell me, or someone...you can you know.." Kaira said. Viera nodded and burst into tears.

~Kaira sighed softly, standing up and moving over to Viera she pulled her into a warm hug. "Viera...it's ok...don't cry." Hearing Viera crying brought back a few memoires for Kaira, she shook her head and thought to herself 'whatever it was...it has really hit her bad.'
Looking at Viera, she thought on a few things. She reminded her of herself when Kaira was that age. "So tell me Viera...what happened?" Kaira saw her look up toward her, giving Viera a smile she wiped her tears away with her left hand softly then said, "don't tell me if you don't want to...but you will have to talk to someone soon.~

Viera thought about her words quietly before saying them, as if checking for errors in what she was about to say. "I.....I can't....kill you.. I don't know what it is, but whatever's stopping me from killing you...it's killing me I love doing what I do and I'm proud of what I do.. but whenever I see you, realisation comes into my heart and mind and I see what I'm doing to people, and I try to shake it out of my head..but it's practically impossible!" Viera looked at her hands...these were the very hands that held that samurai sword in them and thrust that legendary sword into the bodies of others, ending and taking lives... that was her job - her duty.
"I don't know why my boss wants you dead, I don't know what you have done or why but he's serious about making sure you're not dead." Viera looked up at Kaira now, her eyes were shadowed, as if replaying a memory in her head and the pain of the old memory was bringing pain all over again.. "Kara...are you alright?" Viera asked...Kaira didn't respond..
