I can hope she's comming. But I won't know until they get here. It's kind of exciting, but at the same time, I'm a little scared. We've never met before.....
Taking a bite of food, Loswen leaves the rest unsaid.

Annuminas - Nolah's Apartments
Elendil the Tall
"Well, we will have to go to Mithlond, and discover it for ourselves. After all, you do not meet an unknown family member every passing of the moon, now, do you?" A gentle, elderly voice spoke from behind. Elendil was dressed in his royal garnments and ornamented mithril breastplate, crowned by Elendilmîr, work of Celebrimbor, and the scepter of Annuminas, glooming with the dim sunlight. Narsil, his faithful sword, peeking out of his cape.
"I came here personally to ask you to have dinner with me and my son's wife. I wanted to discuss a few things with both of you, like the route, and any escort you would wish to take. Will you come?"

"Of course!" Nolah replied quickly and then looked down at herself. She felt poorly dressed indeed in the company of the king."I'm not dressed properly for such company however, I would not wish to offend..." Instinctively she pulled her robe closer about herself to cover the sleeping gown.

Loswen stands and bows slightly.
It would be an honor. I regret I am not dressed for such an occasion as well. The weather caught us off guard.
She smiles at Nolah softly.

"I just need to slip something over my gown and braid my hair and then I'll be ready...I'll fetch something for Loswen as well. It will only take a moment My Lord." She bowed and then hurried from the room. A moment later she had returned clothed in a blue garment-most of her clothing was blue- and had another draped over her arm. Quickly she handed the pale jacket to Loswen. "We are ready."

Annuminas - Nolah's Apartments
Elendil the Tall
"Very well, then. Dinner shall be served in two hours. Until then, we could wander through my galleries, and watch the paintings therein. I have received a new shipment today, from a collector that came with us from Numenor, he gladly donated half of his collection of paintings to me. They depict the older glory of Numenor, and many of it's important events. Would you want to see them, or just sit back in my living room and read a good book?" The King asked. But he suddenly remembered something.
Oh, and Lady Nolah? My squire wishes to speak to you. He seemed quite strange then...all hesitant and uncomfortable...ah the youth of these days... He sighed, giggling to himself.

Loswen pulls the gown over her head, and after a moment of fighting with it, brushes it off as it looks just fine. She shakes her head.
My ears. My elf ears for trousers and a tunic
She looks up and smiles. She seems less worried that Elendil is a king. She shows him respect, but also acts like he is just like her in some ways.
I would love to see these paintings.

"I would love to see the paintings and of course I'll speak with your squire M'Lord." She replied quickly trying to hide her blush. Unbidden a picture of the handsome squire flashed through her mind and desperately she tried to surpress the warmth suffusing her cheeks. "Will he be accompanying us to the galleries or will he be waiting somewhere?"

Nolah waited a moment as the king seemed in thought and then as politely as possible inquired again. "My Lord? Morthol...?"

Elendil the Tall
"Hm...what? Oh, sorry, Lady Nolah, I believe I lost myself in my thoughts. Now where was I...Ah yes! Please follow me to the galleries." He inquired, as he stepped outside, leading the two ladies to the Halls of Elendil.
Beautiful were those halls, filled with ancient relics brought from Numenor, and now, many paintings, both as small as pictures, and as large as the wall itself, depicting many events of Numenor; The Burning of the White Tree, the Temple of Morgoth, the Meneltarma, Andunië, Armenelos, Vingilot and Ëarendil, and many, many others, gracing the walls with talent and skill almost higher than that of the elven kind. As they walked the path towards that beautiful hall, the King was finishing the explanation to Nolah.
"...apparently Morthol was near the beach, behind a rock, his mouth open and his face as red as fire, his eyes strangely wide open, as if he did not wanted to close them. When he arrived the enfermary, he started mumbling incoherently, until he rose himself and ran towards his bedchamber in my Tower. Normally he only goes there to sleep, unless he wishes to meditate, or to write a poem or song, as he does when he wishes to express himself..." his eyes fixed immediately on Nolah, his face brightened by a gentle smile.
They arrived to the back door of Elendil's Manor, where the guards bowed and let their King pass. That door lead directly to the Halls by a narrow corridor.
"Here we are. The finest works of the Edain now grace these walls, for all to marvel, for this hall will be open for the public when we return from Mithlond. Loswen, if you wouldn't mind, I would wish to have a small conversation with Nolah...we will be back shortly. Please admire the paintings while we take our time..." He says, as he gestures to a door in the other end of the wall, walking to it, and commanding a guard nearby to give him the key of the door. Opened the lock, he opens the door, revealing the meeting room, where the King and the court would sometimes speak in private.

Annuminas - paintings wherever
((this may be a bit long, I'm having fun))
Lowsen nodds, excusing herself and returning to the painting that had caught her eyes in passing. She stands in front of it, her hands behind her back, studying.
The color of the fires is what caught her the first time, and now she saw why. A mountian was exploding, and the sea around the island mountain was curning. The fires from around the mountian took up the forefront, while the sea held ship being tossed and turned. The sky was black, filled with lightning. Though Loswen had never seen the event, she knew it all too well.
Her father had told her about his island home of Numenor, how he had grown up on the western coast, watching the horizon in vain for any Eldar who would come to the isle. His mother was Faithful, but when his father stood against Sauron, he was put to death. By then, though, Loswen's father was grown. He fled the island for his life, taking his mother and two sisters with him. He moved to the settlement that would become Osgiliath. One of his sisters could not stand being away from their isle, and returned home, while the other married a Dunedain and moved away. His mother died, and he was left alone. He went north, and on his way up the Anduin, met a fair Noldorin maiden. He brought her back to Osgiliath and she became his wife.
He wanted to see his sister, but even as he arrived on the coast of Middle-Earth, the world changed. Numenor was gone, along with all of his childhood. A friend brought things that his sister had hidden, a loyal Faithful to the end, but she died when the isle fell. She could not leave her home.
Loswen knew all this, more from asking questions that her father telling her.

Annuminas-Meeting Room
Nolah followed the King quietly through the door, casting one last glance Loswen over her shoulder. The half-elf was staring at a painting with deep concentration.
Swallowing her nervousness she came to a pause just inside the doorway, hands fiddling nervously behind her back. She had yet to be summoned to the meeting room and allowed her eyes to venture into her surroundings, to adimire the paintings on the walls, the tapestry and the books adorning various shelves. All of the handsome furniture looked careworn but well attended too. This did not distract her for long. She wanted news of Morthol. The bid for an audience with her and the story given by the king had aroused a burning curiosity. What did the handsome squire want with her?

Annuminas - Halls of Elendil - Meeting Room
Elendil the Tall
The door closed, and all came silent. Elendil walked a few steps, before sitting on a chair, and apparently preparing his voice. His eyes fixed upon Nolah, an incredibly broad smile enlightening his face.
"I want to sing you a little song." The king spoke. Nolah would probably think that Elendil, High King of the Numenoreans, had many and better things to do than sing songs to a member of the court, but nevertheless, there he was, the High King, clearing his voice, and ready to sing a melodious, yet sad song.
O Isil bright, above the Eastern Lands Thine beauty was hallowed in crystal hands And thou, o meadows, thine flowers fair Thine perfume embodied in beautiful hair! Oh Nolah, light of this obscure land Unmatched beauty of Numenorean brand O Manwë! You certainly see That Nolah is the fairest East of the Sea! For in her face lies a light Fairer than Telperion the Bright! O Arien, keeper of the Sun Your heat and radiance fair and free From the time when the world begun; But no! There is one fairer than thee! From beyond the West, across the Blessed Seas, The white gulls call, our kindred greets, O how the wailing of the gulls is fair! But filled now with voices of despair For their wailing now carry my pleas Onwards to Nenuial, lake of Evendim Now pass the waters of Baranduin To Annuminas, city of kings, my message they carry On the balcony of Nolah they land There they convey my message of grief "Come! Let your sadness be banned For your life will not be brief Morthol, a soldier, to you he gave his undying love Go now to him and do not tarry!" Sweet were the gulls'voices then, Filled with urgency, sincereness, and strife, My message they conveyed, but soon they went beyond "He suffers now, for his voice was sorrowful His eyes were hidden by unumbered tears Heal him from his winter with thine touch Go to him, for he now fears That all venture and happiness have left his life"
This lay Morthol sang, as he gazed the clouds in his bedchamber. I have not heard more, for I interrupred him when I entered to see what was wrong. But I can see very well what is wrong...or should I tell...what is right...? The king speaks no more, and awaits the reaction of the Lady.

Annuminas - Halls of Elendil - Meeting Room
For a moment Nolah stood speechless, her cheeks flushing in the candle-light. It was beyond her comphrehension that someone would ever speak such words of herself, put such effort into it. A warm, almost giddy feeling filled her and a large grin curved her lips. "He truly sang such a tribute to myself?" An image of Morthal, sprawled out across his bed flitted briefly through her mind. "It is beautiful...I...where is he?"

A very happy Elendil the Tall
Elendil smiled at the question of Nolah. He stood, and answered;
"He was at the balcony of the dining room, last I saw him...still singing..."
