XD XD Thanks. I do that too XP Anytime someone asks me a question I have to run off to answers.com to make sure I'm not completely wrong XP
Yeah, I'm really lucky sweatdrop I seriously expected there to not be a SuperNOVA anywhere near enough for me to actually be able to go to, but, Gameworks is a happy place XD And I found out they hold DDR tourneys there, so maybe I'll push my friend into competing if he hasn't yet >_> I want to watch him play... or as he said, "it's not dancing, per se. It's more like an organized seizure mrgreen " XD But jeez. Triple A's on all 3 songs o.o XD I want to see how my friend is compared to others, 'cause he's apparently really good.
Oooh, songs to play. XP I went to the arcade yesterday, with two friends, but I was too afraid to play on standard mode for a while sweatdrop I did pwn on light though, and was doing okay on standard until my friend picked a song I didn't know and we both failed x_x I still need to practice XP But yeah, now I'm actually familiar with the metal pads... w00t!
XD If I happen to have a camera to bring, or can mooch off a friend, I'll try that song... just know that I usually don't go THAT far out of my way to look like a complete idiot, so feel lucky XP

Compete yourself. xd You'd just need some practice then you would be able to. 3nodding It's really fun actually. I competed in a few already. My 2 friends want me to go to the state or national ones so that way I could actually be rated. sweatdrop I was like, yeah right.
Do you rememeber what song it was? Or the rating of it? Thats really cool that you got the whole metal pad thing down. Now there's nothing to stop you from getting better.
surprised Yes, I want to see that. Just make sure you set it the way I told you, or theres no way you'd be able to even attempt to do it. sweatdrop I only know one person that can do it without it set on anything. And I only know 2 people that can do it the way I do. So theres only 3 people I know all together that can do that song one way or another. sweatdrop Don't let that scare you, it's really easy, besides I have faith in you.

XD XD XD No way I'm competing for a while... but someday, I definitely shall... sounds awesome ^^ Woah... I didn't know there were national/state ratings o.o Probably should have guessed though.
...nah... I don't remember... sweatdrop x_x; But yeah... I'm excited now XP The arcade is more fun than I remember it being.

Yeah I always phrase them that way. Because insted of just being some arcade competition it's actually like a more real competition. I'm pretty sure they rank you against other players in other states to on certain ones. I'll have to talk to the people that know more then me and find out how all the ranking works. I know that normally when you go to a bigger competition it's different and in some big city, it's not just in a mall on some thursday night. xd People travel all over the place for some of them and I know it's not the ones that take place in a dinky arcade on thursday night. 3nodding

Your welcome. 3nodding I really think you should try it, even if it is just an arcade competition it gives you something to brag about. =P "I competed in a DDR tournament, what about you?" Then they can be all bowing down to you. And it gives you a good experience and your able to meet some of the amazing people. In all my time playing at arcades I find that almost everyone that plays is really nice.
I wonder what it's like over in Japan with DDR? Maybe they run it on TV over there...I really should go over there and see. xd Yeah but maybe someday they will run it on TV here, then again depending who is president they might not let it. Like with the whole anime thing. neutral

Haha, yes XD They'll ban DDR before they touch anime... and then the country will become even more obese crying Thus proving that DDR truly is good when it comes down to it XP
(muahaha... yeah... "Well, I was in a DDR tournament which I was thrown out of due to my suckiness before the first song was through >_>;;! Top that!" XD XD)
I can imagine what it's like in Japan... it amazes me sometimes how into certain games some people there are... and I thought people over here were fanatics XP I used to watch Melee rounds on youtube between all the Japanese pros XD Which reminds me. I realized that we don't have a video games thread... I found it weird that no one started one yet o.o

I didn't check, but this seems to be the longest running thread (sure, it might be mostly Lief of Deltora and Amaya09 talking about DDR, but we'll work with what we've got) in the history of the guild. Perhaps we should analyze what made it so popular and try to implement that into other threads...

Well, it was simply because actual discussion was continuously held x_x All too often in threads different people just post a few one liners and the thread eventually dies out... If people not only make their posts interesting but also present new things that other people can talk about, then the thread will become aliiive XP Just my guess.
Oh. And because DDR rules mrgreen

Good point. Everyone would just gain weight, conisdering everyone I know that plays DDR has lost weight. If they got rid of it...well everyone would just go to the arcade and play the other games constantly and just gain wieght. Then they would be like wow we are really stupid.
Oh yeah, my friend found this video of a DDR competition over in Japan...and I thought are competitions were competitive. neutral Oh and they are into that Soul Calibur and Tekken stuff to...They have some crazy fanactics over there.
xd They wouldn't kick you out...you'd just not place at all. But I think if you practiced a bit and entered as a standard level player you would be able to do. 3nodding
Then go ahead and start one. It is kinda wierd though. But it was your idea you start it. If no one else posts, I always will. 3nodding I love video games.

I think it's for the reasons that Lief said already. Most people just say a sentence or two and are gone. And it's not something that people can usually generate discussion off of. In this thread everytime one of us would post we would make sure that there was something there that you could talk about. And then we would come back to reply.
And yeah it is the longest thread, I know without checking because I remember the other threads and none of them lasted this long.

I know someone like that. neutral I get so jealous of them. And yeah they couldn't kick you out. Just wait until you start passing songs with A's and B's then go ahead and sign up for one.
Oh I still watched it though. It's so ridiculous, even I will never be that good.

Yeah... that video inspired me XD I was like "maybe, one day... >_>" XP I get like that a lot... w00t for being a dreamer domokun
I finally played again yesterday, w00t XD Except it was at a friend's, and she didn't have very many songs unlocked... and I get bad at standard whenever people are around XD I know that's a classic excuse, but blah x_x I'm GREAT at light, no matter whether others are present or not...blah XP I shall get better and I shall prove to my friends that I really am not that bad XP Though I'm still the best out of the people I regularly hang out with (aside from the friend I mentioned in previous posts XP), which says a lot about how good my friends are XD;; But yeah. I think it's more of "I'll never get good, and I don't want to look stupid, so I never try" for a lot of my friends... that seems kinda common. Or maybe they just have better things to do... either way...XP
Fancy... crew subforum... makes me feel all important XD
