My rant on Dragonforce has nothing to do with people considering them to be the best band ever. But more with people calling the Herman Li the best guitarist ever. Alright A.) the other guitarist(his name escapes me)is way better than Herman. B.) Dragonforce songs contain a ton of keyboards that make it seem like the guitarist are playing really fas
Also it was mentioned a few pages back the Overkill invented Thrash this is no true Metal Church did.

i personally have nothing against DragonForce but i find the keyboards just over do everything :/. like, its jam packed with everything already and the keyboards just sometimes turn me off the song D: but, i do enjoy listening to some of there songs and admire the fast riffs produced, makes Guitar Hero a lot harder i heard xD

You wanna know what I hate? There are no decent radio stations for metal of any kind, they will sometimes play the lighter metal on some stations, but overall their aren't any metal stations where I live. It pisses me off, they have crappy rap or hip-hop or pop stations, but they don't have one single metal station. The only stuff that gets regular play on any station here is hair metal, which can be alrght, but I want something heavier on the stations you know? That's why I have to download and buy everything I listen to which just bugs me more.

Another thing I say is that I agree with you 100%. Metal should destroy all the crappy genres and become more powerful than it is now, then we slowly convert all the people that like hard rock, then move progressively in such a fashion until eventually, the WORLD is owned by the metal. Then, we're good.

So the point of this guild would not then be accepting like minded people but being open minded and allowing all those "other" genre styled people in? You are completely right! I want some 2pac enthusiasts in here myself especially since majority of them aren't capable in speaking (or writing) in complete sentences.

... I must disagree. I do like some stuff that isn't metal, but honestly, I could do without it, I agree that genres that lead to metal like jazz, blues, rock, punk and stuff like that should stay, I was talking mostly about stuff like crappy pop and stuff like that... also, whatever it is people dance to these days... I don't care for it at all.

I absolutely hate it when others rag on Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius. I noticed when one starts on making fun of them, a shitload of others always seems to follow.

So I like Nocturnal Rites a lot.
But a pretty significant portion of their new album (The 8th Sin) sounds so much like H.I.M. to me.
And that makes me cry a little on the inside.
