"Well I thank you for remaining, if I woke alone, I would probably have panicked for a moment." He said after a moment the feeling if warmth spreading through him as his palm was kissed. "I can go with you, after all I should see where her room is if I'm her companion as well." He yawned and stretched sitting up in the bed before he slipped out of it. "I like it. It's not the same as what I'm used to, but it's very comfortable."

"I like this bed actually, besides, waterbeds aren't all they seem to be from what I hear. Too much movement and it wakes up your partner." Sure, he had never personally had a water bed, but none of the people he had been with seemed to like them, after all, he had never noticed water near the beds he had been in.

Hearing where Sarah's room was he smiled and nodded. "I guess it would be hard to miss a pink door in a place like this would spell child." He laughed before standing next to Callum and taking his hand. He wasn't sure why he wanted the contact, but Philip liked being close to the demon.

"We sleep on sand, kelp, seaweed. Anything that is soft and can grow in the water easily. Sea moss is rather soft and fluffy, much like the bed you have. While in the tank at the shop, I didn't sleep much, they didn't have anything to use for a bed. You don't seem insensitive to me either. Your just curious about what I used before, or of my kind in general."

"It isn't seen that way to me, just curiosity. After all how can we learn if we don't ask questions?" Hearing that Callum was sorry about what happened in the shop the merman shook his head. "Why are you sorry? You didn't know and couldn't prevent anything from happening. It wasn't like you told the guards to do those things. As for what happens here, I feel I will discover a new experience while staying with you."

As they arrived to Sarah's room, Callum peeked in and it seemed that his daughter was asleep. So, he would be alone with Callum still. Philip wasn't sure if that was necessarily a good thing or not. "Uh, sure, it could be fun. I suppose it is a good way to get to know each other better."

"Are you sure you want me to go to the beach so soon? I mean yes you can trust me, but I am a bit surprised your offering something so, rewarding, this soon. As for the location, I think a private beach would be better then a public one. I don't want anyone else to know about merfolk. The more people that know about my kind, the more people there are hunting us." Philip said letting out a sigh. Philip enjoyed spending his time with Callum, he was just worried the man would grow bored of him if he learned everything all at once. He had to keep some mystery right?

"I don't mind when we go, as long as you have the time and its alright to do so. I mean, you have to be pretty busy with your work."

Rewarding? Callum wasn't rewarding him. He was offering to take him on a trip. Friends and family went on vacations sometimes, and Callum wanted to see how Philip was in the water. "Well, I can go on vacation whenever I'd like, but yes....It should be during a not-so hectic schedule. Maybe next week then? If things go smoothly." A private beach was a great choice. Now all Callum had to do was ask the mayor. He'd worry about that when it was time to start llanning and packing. "...How common are merfolk? I admit I'm curious. Other than you and the old man who lives around here, I don't know many merfolk."

So, the women were hidden and the men were more or less not. That made sense. If merfolk were as hunted as he believed, hiding the ones that could give birth was probably the smartest idea. "He sticks to himself, and doesn't talk at all. I only know him because I'm the one who found him. He had been attacked by a shark and paralyzed from the waist down. He can't walk or swim anymore. I think that's why he stays on land." That was why he didn'r know muh about merfolk despite knowing a merman. "You'd be surprised where people are willing to go."
