Tomthetank scuttlefish Tomthetank scuttlefish Tomthetank The way I understand it, it's a strip club but you pay ludicrous amout of money for a bottle of liquor to share with your choice of the entertainers. It seems kind of like an escort service but it's a club, like a companion service but the companion is a smoking hot chick who gets naked for you. Thought I'm sure she won't stop there, she's gonna hit t big and negotiate a months stay at the bunny ranch... Yeahhh I don't need to spend money for the companionship of a beautiful woman. wink And I don't gamble. So there's like nothing for me to do here. At least there's a pool so I won't die in this desert heat... What's one little game of pazak, or blackjack while in Vegas The blackjack and poker tables are tempting, I must admit. But if I start I won't be able to stop! At least you know your limits. it'd be nice if the people at the bar & casino would stop asking me where my parents are... I'm an adult, dammit! gonk

scuttlefish Ryokuzen Shadowstealer scuttlefish Tomthetank scuttlefish Ryokuzen Shadowstealer I'm not american, nor have I ever been to vegas Las Vegas is pretty much the sleaziest, trashiest place you can go in America. With that being said it should be pretty obvious. The way I understand it, it's a strip club but you pay ludicrous amout of money for a bottle of liquor to share with your choice of the entertainers. I dunno, I never thought I looked like a middle schooler either... emotion_facepalm even when I bought my car last year everyone was all like "oh how cute you just got your license"... I'm looking for some feedback because I'm unsure how to go about with doing the character ranks/levels... I'm thinking everyone starts at "novice" level and advances to apprentice, adept, expert, master, etc etc based on activity and combat and interactions and such. And aside from increased HP/magicka I'm hoping I'll be able to do something cool with the spells, like apprentice level characters would have difficulty successfully casting a master level spell and so forth. I'm also playing with the idea of checks for the major/minor skills, even with non-combat skills (like being able to roll a die to sneak past a character, who can counter if they use a detect life spell, etc) I might be getting too in over my head and overcomplicating things though so I'd like to hear what you all want to see.

I think you are on to something here, hmmm. Well if you have a character sneaking, and if you are a mage type character and have the Alterations as either a major or a minor skill you can use detect life. In which case it would be a matter of RP and OOC taking effect here. The thing to do would be not to do it unless the person sneaking failed a roll, and the mage would cast life detect to follow it up. But if its OOC, then the person could just ignore the roll and just cast detect life.... I think it maybe easier just to ban the spell Detect life and have a roll for sneak. By the way, I am thinking of two different mind sets here. RP is think about what your character knows, not what you as a person know. OOC well is not thinking as your character but as yourself and what you have seen in other person's posts. So if they are sneaking, you and your character know they are sneaking. Also, I just created a character. Since I had some time. But I may not be able to post something for him until later this week. But I made his character profile, so it all should be good.

Yeah, I've decided I'm going to wait with doing that just to keep things less complicated. I'm thinking too much in terms of tabletop RPGs, and doing dice rolls for everything is easier to do in real-time when everyone is at the table and you don't have to wait a day for your opponent to respond. Yup everything looks good! I liked the bit about Sheogorath; I'm hoping to incorporate some good ol' Daedra fun in the RP. But yeah don't worry about not being able to post, not much is going on in the RP yet. Ryo and I are about to pilfer a jewel from Jarl Ulfric, and I'm predicting that Tom's character might try and stop us. Mizu's in Whiterun, and I'm not sure where Shifting Fool is going to start his character out.

For example I might be a master in one handed but you might be a master in heavy armour, so how would the damage work? xD Still i'm sure you'll figure something out.

Going from what I know about Rpg's, you got your base weapon damage. Then you have damage added on by character skill. So the equation is, base + skill = damage. Its the same exact equation when doing armor. But I think with armor, its only percentages and can only block X% of an attack.

Anyone familiar with the First Era, specifically the Battle of Red Mountain period and can help me work something out with the lore? I can't tell if these are plotholes (wouldn't be the first time) or if I'm just confused.
