Vance lifted his head... Oh no. Bujmar hadn't taken the bait. He was laying in a cell, cold and white, with bars that had not enough light to see through. He let his emotions show, and sadness crossed his face. He closed his eyes, and looked over at the bars. He could smell the air, and human was the main scent. It wasn't bad... unlessed you'd associated it with evil all your life. Vance sat and waited.

Sorry for giving the impression that I was going somewhere.

Bujmar saw a charred place in a hedge, and almost climbed down to find it. But then he realized that there was another one, and it was not related. He wondered how that could happen, but slid down the tree. Obviously, looking for them from up high would do no good. Then, he remembered that all NDS agents carry trackers. He activated his beacon, and began following the map of the maze he carried and the tracking beacon.

((its alright. Shadow's over here has gona a bit psyco though xD))

Bujmar ran around another corner, and wished he could blow holes in the hedge like the rebel had. No, he didn't wish that. He'd be dead if he could. Like.... he tried to think of something that he ought to think, like these rebels would be shortly? That sounded properly malicious, he supposed. He came around another corner and the tracker abruptly ceased sending. He froze, worried. Then he heard a voice echoing around the maze, and instinctively ducked down. He knew Lorzerai's last point, and he moved quickly and carefully toward it, drawing a powerful tranquilzer dart and three mild poisons. He wasn't sure what he was up against, but he wanted to be prepared.

"What in the world was THAT?"asked Seifer as Lydia's roar echoed through the air.
"Lydia. I'm guessing that she'll be completly engulfed in her rage within the next few minutes. Hopefully by then she will have at least released the women and children."Azera answered in a somewhat sad voice.
"What do you mean hopefully get the women and children out by time she is engulfed in rage?"
"Well one can never be certain. Besides once the rage is released she will be drained of almost all of her power just as I was. You were born free and I would be willing to bet money on that being the first time you ever stepped foot in one of the retraining facilities. You can't even begin to imagine what it's like. They don't go easy on children and women to them we're animals if you hit 'em enough eventually they'll break. What you saw in there with me probably seemed like it wasn't that bad, but then again you have to remember I was there for over 170 years. I learned early on that showing emotion makes it worse, because at the end of the day all you did was give up your life, all your hopes, your dreams. I refused to give in. I grew up, got tough, and when my parents told me we were gonna run I grabbed my picture and ran. When they were killed I kept my promise I went into the free lands. That's where I found Lydia. I even spent a year in search of the guy my dad asked me to look for. When I finally gave up I joined Frenth and Yolanda ever sense I've been helping to free our kind. I figure if it was a dream my parents were willing to die for then I might as well continue it for them. Hey you never know maybe someday I'll actually see the magical peoples roaming the lands free again just like in all those stories my mom and da used to tell me before I went to sleep."Azera finished in a wispy voice. Seifer could almost see her dream as he listened to her tell. He was glad that the haunted look in her eyes had disappeared as the tale ended. He had never really thought about it before but as she told her tell he came to realize part of what her cold and unfeeling nature had resulted from. For the first time he realized that she actually was in the resent past a slave. She was a slave that must've been very rebellious meaning that there would undoubtably be hundreds of scars on her back from whips. These thoughts angered him but as to why they affected him so he couldn't say. After some minutes of walking in silence he decided to speak,"The boy you were searching for, you wouldn't happen to know his name by any chance would you?"
"I was never told his first name I believe he was from the Tsuki wolf demond clan though."
"Why were you searching for him?"
"Well I don't know actually my da wouldn't tell me. All he would say was that I was to find him and tell him my name and they would take it from there."
"What's your name?"
"I can't tell anyone outside of the Tuski.Umm I think the ningen's waking up."
"Like to do the honors?"
Azera smiled wickedly as she slowly walked towards him,"With pleasure."with that said she punched the ningen knocking her out for the rest of the trip to headquarters.

"Home sweet home."sighed Seifer as he was finally able to see headquarters from their position on top of the hill.
"Maybe we should wait a little while before we go down there."Azera said in a soft voice.
"Why?"
"It's getting dark.I want to see the moon before I am confined to four walls again.That's what I wanted the most while I was inside that horrible place.The moon."
"Why the moon?"
"Not yet. I can't tell you yet. Maybe someday but not today.Let's just sit and watch the moon for a little while."
"Okay how about I go and take our prisoner down to headquarters and you come back after you've seen enough of the moon."
"NO! Don't leave me."
"Umm.....Okay I'll stay."he replied after hearing the strangest thing in her voice.............Fear.This new emotional Azera was somehow scarier to him than the old heartless one.

At around 12 O'clock they finally decided to go down to the base. Azera went up to her room to go to sleep as Seifer placed the prisoner in the containment cell. At around 12:30 Seifer went to his room attempting to sleep.Sounds easy enough right? Wrong. Especially with a 5'3 125 pound beautiful demon in a restless sleep next door sending out psychic signals. At around 12:45 Seifer lost control his curiosity had gotten the better of him so he decided to view her dream and find out what was wrong.

"Azera hide under this rock. You are not to move or make any sound at all until midnight. No matter what happens do not move. Promise me Azera." a woman wispered pleading with the girl almost terror evident in her voice.
"Yes mother I promise."
"Also I want you to take my necklace. Each teargem represents a different member of our fire youkia clan. This necklace is a symbol of our fmilies unity as long as more gems are added then we still have hope. Every red gem is a living member and once that gem turns black that person has died. You will cry a red tear with every child born of the clan and you will have to add it to the necklace. You have undoubtably noticed by now that you cry blue gems instead of tears like most so you know now how to identify the difference.Keep this with you until the day comes when you must pass it on to your child. I love you precious one."
"Okay."
As the mother walked away her father aproached,"Don't cry little one you'll bleed the rivers dry then what will all the fish do?"
"Sprout legs and lungs and walk on land."
"That's my girl. Now when midnight comes I want you to go into the free lands. I don't want you stop until you get there. It's a straight shot from here so don't take any roads. When you get there I want you to seek out the Tsuki wolf demon clan and give them your name they'll take it from there.Also take this."he said giving her his ring.
"But da this is the ring grandpa gave you when he died. Only the leader of the Shasomae can were it."
"Yes little one. You are now the leader of the Shasomae I trust you'll make me proud. One last thing I want your word on searching for the Tsuki as well as a promise that you'll never look back."
"I promise da."
"Good. I love you girl never forget that."
"I love you too da."
Finally a boy walked up to the girl" Hey lil sis I want you to take these."he said as he handed her the items.
"I can't take these. It's your last piece of Chocolatte and your Katana."
"Yes you can and you will. I have a feeling you'll need it more than I will besides I'd rather you have it than some filthy ningen. I love ya shorty."
"I love you too."
The sound of soldiers could be heard closing in on them as her family walked across from her.
"Where is the girl?"demanded the old master.
"She's safe and hidden from you."replied her father in an icy tone that even scared Azera.
"Fine. Kill him once he's dead then maybe the other two will talk. She watched helplessly from her spot keeping her promise as her da smiled at her one last time and as he died a little part of her heart died as well. Then they asked her mother where she was hidden and she watched as yet another loved one was killed taking a portion of her heart along as well.Finally it was her brothers turn."Go ahead kill me. My sister's freedom is far greater than my life. She has a chance to do great things and if my death grants it then so it shall be. Take care shorty don't mess up my katana."after those words he attacked two of the guards dragging them with him to the afterlife. Azera refused to cry. She would not have their deaths be in vain. That night the blood moon rose painting the land an erie red. Azera walked towards the free lands only stopping once but realizing she had promised not to look back she quickly began moving again leaving behind a trail of shining blue gems. Suddenly the senery changed to that of a small pitch black room.

"Mommy,da,bruder I'm scared. Where are you?"asked a small child in a wavering voice. She couldn't have been older than four.
"Why Azera, Why are you scared."came a soft and loving male voice out of the gloom.
"I'm cold and it's dark and I'm all alone."
"Silly girl your a fire youkai how can you possibly be cold. And if memory serves me correctly fire chases away the darkness."
" I've lost it da. The fire it's gone. I can't feel it inside of me anymore."
"You can't lose it your mother placed it within you all you have to do is call for it and it will come."
"Why did you leave me."
"Azera dear heart we never truely left you. We've always been here in your heart and in your memories."came a kind and caring female voice.
"Mommy I needed you."
"You need to stop thinking about the bad and sit down and remember the good shorty. Like when we hog-tied that fat ningen boy who went around stealing peoples candy."Azera gave a slight giggle at her brothers words.
"I've missed you all so much. Why can't I bring you back. I'm bigger now I know how."
"Azera you can't bring us back it would be unnatural. We each accepted our fates long ago. You need to stop living in the past. You will need that spell someday in the future but now is not the time to be selfish. Oh little one don't cry you'll bleed the rivers dry and then what will the fishes do?"
"I don't care."
"Now now that's not what your supposed to say."
Azera sighed and said,"They'll sprout legs and lungs and walk on legs."
"That's my girl I have to leave you now though.I love you my angel."
"Da don't go I'm afraid of the cold darkness."
"Child I thought I explained this to you already your a fire demon. You have the power to drive away both. You need not fear either.I must leave now my love but remember the fire is within you as am I you are never alone and can deny the darkness all you have to do is ask."with that said he was gone.
"Bye my precious one. I love you still and I am prouder of you then you could ever imagine."
"mommy wait I don't want to be alone again. It's too hard."
"Quit whining like a little baby. I'm almost ashamed to call you my sister. Afraid of the dark. please. The girl I knew was fearless. Besides your not alone you simply refuse to see the people near you. Take Lydia for example she always drives your memories away so you can sleep.She even gives you chocolatte. Then there's Seifer guy would walk through the fires of Hell to save you the pain of a papercut. Mental if you ask me. You need to stop trying to appear so cold and heartless saving everyone else and let someone save you for a change. No one ever said you couldn't show emotion or let people in now did they Shorty? I gotta go now sis but remember I love you, and clean my sword it's got ningen all over it now."
"Bye bruder. I promise I'll grow up. I won't cry anymore over stupid stuff and I will try to lighten up a little more. I love you too. I'm miss you still though."

Seifer pulled out of her mind after that. Azera's mind scared him because well he couldn't quite figure that part out. Her mother seemed familar though he couldn't place it. He realized that her inner childs inner brother had said something about Lydia putting a barrier on her dreams so she could rest in peace and suddenly he remembered that she had been in the retraining center for a while. She looked tired because she hasn't been able to sleep. Well Lydia may not be here but I am. I'm gonna regret this in the morning. he thought as he placed a barrier around her mind and began filling her head with images of her life at headquarters........and him so she could sleep even though the next day he would be yelled at for sleeping so long after she got up and then appear to be a living zombie when he finally got out of bed. If it would help Azera then it would be worth it he told himself.

Vance sneered and swung a solid side-kick at the bars. Shards of ice crashed to the ground, and then were crushed as he walked through them with his boots. He approached Lydia and did only as he could: pat her on her nose. "Let's go get them. Nothing sickens me more then the stealing of innocence." The pair made their way to the correct execution areas based on Lydia's information. The trip there was pleasant. Any who even THOUGHT about approaching were engulfed in blue fire. Vance took care of anyone who managed to dodge the barrage. When they made it to the chamber, the guards inside were gone; alerted to Lydia's presence apparently. Vance looked up and down the door, and once he deduced that only an idiot would break his foot kicking it, moved aside, "All your's, dear."
