Alyx muttered crossly and crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.
Brenden looked at Maria and smiled. "Thank you Maria, that means a lot."

Alyx pushed away from the wall and walked off, muttering under his breath.
Brenden sighed. "Should I go after him?"

Maria shrugged. "Might as well. I doubt I will help much." She watched Alyx walk away. Did I say something?

"Stay here, I'll be right back." Brenden stood and went after Alyx. He grabbed Alyx's shoulder. "What's wrong with you?"
Alyx turned around slowly and looked Brenden in the eye. "I like you, that's what's wrong..." his face turned red and he sighed. "I've had a crush on you since...god, I don't know how long..."
Brenden let go of his shoulder and took a step back. "You what?"

Maria watched the boys out of the corner of her eye. Alyx had said something major, she could tell by Brenden's reaction. Stay here.... Stay here.... Do NOT rush over there.... She told herself, crossing her legs and leaning her head against the wall. It's nothing...

"Why didn't you ever tell me?!" Brenden shouted.
"Why are you getting all worked up for?"
"Because, maybe I've liked you too, but didn't have the guts to tell you either...I need to think about it though ok? 'Cause i like Maria too...so don't say anything to her ok? I need to talk to her." He turned and walked towards Maria, a million thoughts running through his head.

He sighed. "Alyx likes me...and has liked me for awhile...also, I have a crush on both him and you...so I'm very confused right now..." He sat next to her and put his face in his hands.

Maria blinked, confused. "Huh?" She felt her face flush, her cheeks turning bright red. She had always had feelings towards Brenden, not a full blown crush, but feelings none the less. "Why didn't you say something..." She mumbled, playing with her shoelace.
