In the midsts of talking with Touya, trying to get closer to enjoy the coldness, that was oddly soothing, Jin blinked as the coldness was suddenly replaced by a warmth around his shoulder. Jin let out a soft sigh, a smile gracing his face as he tilted his head back, finding the source of the warmth to be none other than Kiyoshi. "Wha's the matter Kiyoshi? Ya wanted ta join in on the cuddlin'? Hehe... I didn't know ya were a cuddle bug too! Aye! We have so much in common!" The red head chimed, getting ready to reach up and grab Kiyoshi to pull him in for a hug when suddenly the water demon pointed to the sky. Did he want to go flying or something? Jin gasped, getting ready to jump up and stretch to go flying but, the thought was interrupted as he fell back onto the ground, watching as his newest teammate jumped over the both of them, and upon landing began to rub his stomach. "oh! Hahah! I knew tha's wha' ya meant~" Jin let out a small laugh, waving his hand in a dismissive manner. A thoughtful look crossed the wind masters face as he narrowed his eyes, thinking about it for a moment. Food... Jin's stomach let out a loud gurgling noise as he thought, and instantly his face glew a light shade of red, as his blue eyes shifted back and forth. "heheh... Now tha' yer makin' a mentionin' o'food... Supposin' a'hm gettin' a wee bit hungry too!" The wind master let out a small laugh, rubbing at his stomach as it grumbled once more.

"Alright! Le's go get some-- uh? Wai-wai- wait! Whaa!" A sudden presense looming behind him, caused Jin to look over his shoulder to see none other than Chū. And let's just say he didn't look very happy being woken up~ As Jin was grabbed, he offered the other male a sheepish smile, reaching up to rub the back of his head. "Supposin' it was me tha' woke ya up. So sorry~" Jin flashed a playful grin, laughing at the mentioning of a party. "a party? Oh ya! A party~ care ta join us? We're jus' hangin' out havin' a good time. It's nice ta see a fellow captain here!" The red head replied, gesturing to the small group of people around him. But before he could say something else, Rinku made his grand appearance yelling at Chū for leaving him alone to go looking for everyone. Jin and Rinku shared their greeting with one another, both flashing playful grins to one another. The dynamic duo of troublemakers was back together again~ "'Ey! Rinku I 've been doin' a lot o'thinkin' since ya were gone. An' I've come up with some real good ones too~" Jin replied with a wink. Rinku laughed, sitting on Chū's shoulder, a dark grin on his face, as his oversized hat shaded his face. "and you think I haven't, Jin? Hehehe... I got a few good one's myself!" Rinku tilted his head back, showing off the mischevious look coming to his face. Let's see... Who to bethe first to get it? The duo shifted their eyes back and forth, trying to find their target. And it seemed... Their target was walking right on over...

Both pairs settled up the approaching new couple, and while Rinku looked excited to see at least one of them, Jin on the other hand lost all traces of playfulness, his eyes hardening a bit at the sight before him. Of course he knew it was going to happen eventually but now? So soon?! Kara really is too much of a softie.... Jin glanced to Kara as she spoke, trying his best to hold back his annoyance. This just wasn't acceptable! The wind master took a moment to pause in his littlle anger fit as Rinku clearly ignored ShiShi, falling back and laughing, another one that felt the same way. Kara was much too good for a snake like him!

Jin slowly sat back up, casting Touya a look, a scowl on his face before standing to his feet. "Sure Kara... But first... e'scuse us fer a moment..." Walking past Kara, Jin took ShiShi by the arm, and began dragging him off so the two could have a small chat with one another. Rinku blinked, looking to Kara and Touya, a curious brow rising. "What's going on?" The child mumbled, expecting an answer as he tilted his head.

Reaching a far distance away, yet still visible to the others, ShiShi forefully took his hand from Jin's vice like grip, shaking it a bit to wake it back up, a dark scowl on his face. "What the hell Jin?! What do you think you're doing?! Taking me away from Kara like that!" ShiShi hissed placing his hands on his hips. Jin began to hover around in the air, circling around the imp, like a shark would it's prey. "Ya know why... a'hm happy tha' the two o' ya got together an' all... but a'hm not too happy about the timin'. I feel it's way too soon... You've done nothin' ta gain her trust... Ta take her heart. You're only goin' ta end up hurtin' her again! An' I will not allow tha'!" Jin replied, inching closer to ShiShi, the two face to face, before Jin turned away, continuing to circle ShiShi. "you know what? I'm tired of all this! If you can't be happy for us... Then don't bother saying anything! Kara and I are happy. We're beginning to patch things up. And I'll be damned if you try and get in the middle of this!" ShiShi snapped, clenching his fists at his sides. Jin let out a snort, his scowl growing. "a'hm not tryin' ta get in the middle o'ya two! A'hm doin' this out o'concern fer Kara. Sayin' wha' she can't... Because she's too nice! Listen good ShiShi... a'hm captain o' Kara's team. Which means I look out fer her more than jus' a friend. I can't have anythin' holdin' her back. An' if yer gettin' so close ta her, an' plan on leavin' her again... I jus' won't allow it!" Jin muttered glaring at the imp once more.

ShiShi began to chuckle, a cocky look coming to his face. "is that so, mm? Because your captain? Ha! It's more than just that... if anything, I think it's jealousy. I have something that you don't have..." The samurai retorted letting out a small laugh. "wha'?! Wha' didja jus' say?!" Jin nearly shrieked, his voice echoing though the mansion grounds, his face turning a dark shade of red. A strong gust of wind came throughout the area as Jin stopped in front of the samurai, his right arm twitching as a small whirlwind forming around his upper arm. "ya got it all wrong! Do ya hear me?! Jealousy has nothin' ta do with it! Sure ya got somethin' tha' I dun got... But this has ta do with Kara. I dun want her goin' through wha' ya put her through again! I'll do whatever it takes ta avoid tha' from happenin'...!" Putting his arm up in the air to strike he looked ShiShi in the eyes, showing he wasn't going to back down, ShiShi instintively placed his hand on the hilt of his sword, the clicking of the blade popping out from the sheathe could be heard, as he locked eyes with Jin.

A few tension filled moments passed as the two went into a silent battle, neither moving. "Go ahead Jin. Make the first move... Show Kara how much you 'care. It'll be you that looks like the bad guy.." ShiShi taunted in a soft whisper, a smirk dancing across his face. Jin's fist began to shake, desperately wanting to wipe that smug look off the others face. Slowly, Jin began to lower his arm, the whirlwind fading from sight. "No. Yer not worth it.. yer not worth me losin' one o'm'best friends over... I won't give in ta yer games..." Jin's voice was soft as he bowed his head and turned away, beginning to slowly float back towards the group, a saddned look on his face. ShiShi straightened himself out, sheathing his blade before walking off back towards the group.

Jin made it back first to the group, offering everyone a small smile. He tried his best to look like his normal, happy self, but if you looked close enough, you could see the sadness, the sense of betrayal in his eyes as he opened his mouth to speak. "everythin's a-okay now. Now if ya guys want... Ya can all go eat. A'hm... Jus' gonna stay here fer a wee bit. Ya know, enjoy the wind an' wha'not..." Flashing yet another false smile, Jin flew off, heading towards one of the ponds to go watch the water and the fishes. ShiShi reapproached the group an expressionless look on his face. "Now that that's been settled..." ShiShi spoke softly, looking over to Kara. Rinku scowled rolling his eyes to the side. "Jerk." The child muttered, folding his arms across his chest and looking away, watching as Jin settled down by the pond, placing his fingers in the water, playing with the water.

(( Just gonna skip to the near end to prevent backtracking. Also because I'm lazy. :V ))

The mask was cracking, and he could see straight through it. Something foul had obviously transpired during their little confrontation. The wind master strained an attempt to leave matters on a good note, gracing them with a rather hollow proclamation before retreating from the group. Steely eyes bore through the samurai as he emerged soon after, nonchalantly reclaiming his spot next to Kara. Upon the imp's statement, a brief snarl contorted the bridge of his nose as he rancorously spat, "It's far from settled, Shishi." And with that, Touya promptly spun on his heel to tend to his crestfallen friend. Dinner could wait.

(it's all good. =D I tried to wait for ya as long as I could. -laughs-)

ShiShi glanced over to Jin, watching as he made his way over to the pond, a curious look on his face. 'what's wrong with him?' the imp thought to himself, but before he could say something, Touya's voice alerted him to look away. Noting the look upon the ice demon's face, ShiShi himself began to narrow his eyes, his unruly temper beginning to spike. 'how dare he look at me that way?! Jin was the one that started all this! I was perfectly fine until he pulled me away!' ShiShi wanted to scream, but decided against it. A dignified snort came from ShiShi as he held his head high in the air, his violet eyes darkening under the light of the setting sun. "Say what you wish Touya... Jin is just going to have to accept that things happened the way they did. He can't always be there to protect everyone. Kara is independent tenough to make her own decisions. Who is he to try and get in the way?" The imp called out to Touya's retreating form.

Jin crouched down on mansion ground, bouncing on his heels twice before reaching forward, dipping the tips of his fingers into the water. "Why... Why did things happen this way? Why is she settlin' fer a low down snake like ShiShi? Can't she see she deserves better? All's I want is fer her ta be happy. Am I really gettin' in the middle o'things?" Jin asked, peering at his reflection, wishing it could answer his questions. Jin let out a soft sigh, running his fingers around in the water, catching the attention of the nearby fish. A tiny fish came swimming up, and thinking the finger to be food, bite down on it, refusing to let go. A small smile graced the red head's face as he pulled his hand out of the water, bringing his hand close to his face. The fish began to flail about, still refusing to let go. Blue eyes widened, watching the poor fish struggle before he tilted his head, a curious look on his face. Why was this fish refusing to let go? Didn't he know he would die if he kept this up? "Hey l'il fishy. Ya hungry? A'hm sorry... I dun have any food fer ya. But if I did i'd give it ta ya..." Slowly, Jin put his hand back into the water, a small sigh of relief coming past his lips as the fish decided to give up and swam off to go join the other fishes. "have fun with yer friends l'il fishy. Be happy..." Jin fell into a sudden silence, going back to playing with the water, trying his best to maintain his happy composure. But it seemed being alone, he was finally able to let the facade drop, and for once Jin felt at peace. Though at the sound of approaching footsteps, Jin's pointed ears seemed to twitch, perking up and taking in the sound of the steps. Slowly, Jin turned his head to see none other than Touya coming up. Probably to console him in his time of need. How kind of him... Jin gave a small smile, reaching up with his free hand to offer a small wave in greeting. "Touya. So nice ta see ya. Didja want ta come an' watch the fishies with me? I even made friends with one of 'em too." Jin let out a small laugh, turning away from Touya and looked back into the pond, his blue eyes focused on the tiniest fish in the pond, as it swam around all the others in circles, with a sudden little spurt of energy.

Chû, the Drunken Fighter

Chû chuckled as he stared down at Rinku. "What're you now, my mum?" Chû laughed, shaking his head. "Demanding like my mum. Sure you aren't just disguising yourself as Rinku?" He laughed again, still shaking his head. He raised an eyebrow, however, at what was going down between Jin, Touya, and Shishi. "Now come on you three. Get along at least til the tournament starts up, hmm? You three can duke it out there like the rest of us an' you shouldn't have an issue if something comes up between those two. I mean, when you think about it, you can always beat the living daylights outta Shishi there if he does hurt her. Am I right?" It seemed like the logical solution to him. Fight it out in the ring and save yourself the trouble of unnecessary bloodshed. Shrugging he turned his head to Rinku. "Now since when do I gotta be the one ta feed you? You know they have a cafeteria here, don't ya?" Despite saying that, Chû took off toward the cafeteria, his own stomach growling slightly.

[Thanks for bein' so understanding. Most people aren't. Yay! I has a Rinku to pick on. XD]

He berated himself under his breath for snapping so easily. The 'Shishi situation' was not boding well with the little ice demon, and his cool composure whittled down to its last few strands as he neared his boiling point. The blossoming relationship between the imp and Kara had flowered at an alarming rate. He could only respect her decisions regardless of his personal grudges against the samurai. The man had abandoned his friends, after all. He single handedly put Kara through her own living hell, and lost any respect Touya held towards him. The ice master was not one to befriend so easily. There were very few people he would consider close friends, and Shishi had been one of them. Yet he too had been discarded on the pursuit to fame and stardom. Needless to say, he held nothing but sheer animosity towards the samurai.
Now would be a good time to confide in the wind master. He was certain Jin was harboring quite a bit of inner turmoil as well- especially after that last episode. His brisk stroll slowed to a leisurely pace as he reached the pond, thoughtfully gazing down at the various koi and goldfish that flitted about. Touya quirked a brow at the redhead's inquiry, opting to ignore it as he settled alongside the wind tamer. "You said you wanted to talk to me before~ " He crossed his legs, propping his chin upon an arm and intently peered over."So talk. You can start by telling me what happened back there."

Jin offered a small smile as Touya approached, before looking away, watching over the fish. His bitter mood seemed to rise a bit, the moment his best friend settled down beside him. As his question was ignored, Jin furrowed his brows, his eyes showing his various emotions as he looked into the water. Did he say he wanted to talk? Oh yes! He said that earlier! So now Touya was coming to him instead of him coming to Touya? "I did want ta talk with ya, uh?" Jin inquired, watching the fishes for a few moments longer, before turning away to look at his friend. A startled look suddenly crossed the wind masters features as he leaned back a bit, taken back that Touya wanted to jump right to the point. Then again, this should have been expected... Jin's gaze seemed to soften a bit as he bowed his head slightly. "it's... Nothin' Touya. Dun go worryin' about it..." Jin mumbled, glancing off to the side, not wanting to look at Touya. The whole fact that it seemeed like he was lying was a bit unnerving. What exactly did happen back there...?

Jin cleared his throat, dipping his fingers into the water, a small sigh slipping past his lips. There's no way he'd be able to keep it hidden from Touya forever... Touya would only find a way to get it out. "ya want ta know? Then fine... le's jus' say m'Irish temper almost got the best o'me. I... almost hit SiShi. The only thing tha' stopped me from beatin' him ta a bloody pulp was Kara. Before I went ta hit him, I saw an imagee o'her cryin' face... An' stopped m'self. ShiShi is not worth me losin' Kara..." The red head bowed his head, guilt evident in his words, his ears pointing downwards. "but a'fore all tha' happened... We shared a few words with one another. I told him I thought it was too soon, too fast fer them gettin' together. He yelled at me sayin' if a'hm not happy fer them, then I shouldn't be sayin' anythin'... an' stop gettin' in the middle o'their relationship... an' then I said my concern fer Kara is more than jus' a friend a'cause a'hm her captain. An' then... ShiShi he... He accused me o'bein' jealous o' him... A'cause he has somethin' I don't..." Jin mumbled softly, glancing up to Touya, fighting back tears as he shook his head, his heart hurting at this point. "tha's when I lost m'temper an' almost hit 'em. He tempted me... Said tha' I should. Jus' so I can look like the bad guy. But I feel... Kara already thinks tha' o'me. An' tha's the reason why a'hm so upset. I dun want ta lose Kara. She... Means too much ta me... Almost as much... As ya mean ta me Touya. I... Did I do somethin' wrong? Am I gettin in the middle o'things? Should I jus' leave 'em be?" Jin began questioning, leaning into Touya's shoulder, his own shoulders beginning to tremble. "a'hm... Jus' gettin' too ahead o'm'self. Maybe ShiShi's right. Maybe a'hm only actin' this way a'cause a'hm jealous o'him..." The wind demon's voice was muffled as he brought a hand to rub at his eyes, catching nonexistant tears. Slowly, Jin leaned away from Touya, flashing a small smile. "A'hm sorry Touya. Here I go again babblin' like usual..." the wind demon let out a small laugh, glancing back to the pond, running his fingers through the waters, trying to distract gis own thoughts.

(I go on an all day road trip and come back to this?! *hugs* Also, no post format until monday.
Also: Banchan! You need to post an announcement thread saying you need a replacement member! We cant compete if we are only four strong, and the rules say that if we dont have enough by the time the tournament starts we will get randomly assigned a team member)

Kara cuddled Rinku for a moment, happy to see him. "I'm feeling much better. Lets just say I recently got back a part of me that had been missing for a long while. And no. Shishi is still part of it, but he is a reason for my happiness."

At the youngling's question, she murmured "protective older brother mindset." in answer
She watched Jin's reaction with worry, and the confrontation between Shishi and Jin with more than a little guilt and alarm. She knew he felt strongly about her happiness, and would feel betrayed by the sudden happening. After all, he blamed Shishi for the hell he put her through. It couldnt have been helped though. The one thing she had never told the pair of Shinobi was that she considered Shishi HERS, and had from the moment he had brought her back to the small house in the forest where she had met Jin and Touya. Dragons, one of the most loyal an devoted of demons, formed strong attachments that were very hard to shake. Shishi was hers, and she had formed that attachement very early. Those where the main points on why she had been so devastated. But Shishi, HER Shishi, was back and was returning the feelings. The level of attraction she had felt for him was being returned. Her missing piece had been found and had said it wouldnt run away again,
Most demons couldnt wrap thier minds around the dragonic level of devotion and emotional attachments.
So she had never told. But it seemed she would have to explain this to Jin and Touya soon, because otherwise there would be a lot more conflict.
She smiled weakly at Shishi as he returned, not liking how Jin had come back emotionally wounded. What had he said?
As Touya went off to comfort Jin, she made up her mind. She'd reveal her secret tonight. "One moment"She told Shishi, and headedoff to follow Jin and Touya, getting there after Jin had fallen silent. "Jin, Touya... I haven't been completely... open with you about this thing. The reason is a dragon demon mentality that is hard for most to understand, so I have been putting it off, since I feared you'd call me crazy for it. I was hoping I could talk to you both about it tonight, since it seems keeping this particular dragonic mindset is causing a lot of problems by not knowing about it. I didnt like keeping it from you, but it is a sensitive issue to bring up with non-dragons, and one of our greatest weaknesses, so we simply dont talk about it much, for fear of it being exploited or called crazy for it. In all honesty I had been meaning to bring it up during the tournament, but with Shishi back again I think I'll need to explain it sooner than expected." She paused, and admitted "I-it is the main reason why my reaction to Shishi's leaving was so strong, and I have been afraid to bring it up, because of how much everyone has been attacking the connection between us."

He blinked at the gasp, did he give a wrong message? But, nope, Jin got the picture after he gave himself a belly rub. Good, maybe they could all go eat now, that sounded alright. It was then that he caught sight of a huge, muscular demon that reeked of booze, causing him to point as his eyes grew wide. He was about to retaliate at save his unawares captain when suddenly the man hugged Jin and he enjoyed it. Now he was confused, so they know each other? It didn't help him any when the random little kid popped up either.

He was ecstatic though when Kara came back, returning the wave with a gentle smile. And everything seemed to be going great between the couple too, though he was a little wary about ShiShi. Not for the man's character, just by the story of what Kara went through with the separation. But, at least he was trying to make up for past mistake...
Not that the other two members of his team or anyone else apparently could accept. This was just depressing, a seemingly good couple that didn't know it(Jin and Touya) and then a couple that fell out and is trying to make amends that no one else supports. Then a fight, that he couldn't stop, and to make matters even better Jin gets all depressed too. Damn, these guys need better brood dynamics. He gives a little sigh through his nose, looking to the man named Chu and apparently Rinku to give a nervous little wave. Might as well try to cheer up while Jin and Touya try to come to terms with all this. At least Kara was trying to handle the bond mess.

::Gah, I missed all of this?! Man, dang you different time zone!!!! crying ::

She seemed to have been forgotten, which was just fine for Kame. She stood and brushed the grass from her skirt and looked over toward where Jin and his friends were. There were so many, it was kind of her to see herself over there with them. She picked up her bag and let out a soft sigh. She was not ready for an interaction that large yet. She reached up and took the tulip from her hair and turned, walking toward the room that was assigned to her and her team. She held the flower close to her, knowing that soon she would have to be in the preliminary fights.

The fiery-haired Demoness waited patiently, twindling a flame around her slender gray fingers. She knew the human boy would follow, they always did. The thought of burning him to a charcoal brought a grin to her face. When he entered the area the grin broadened as she extinguished the flame, "My aren't you a handsome one?" She courtsied a bit fpr introduction, "My name, is Gouka."

Daniel scowled at her, not interested the least in her games."If you brought me here to screw around, I'm not interested...I'm here to win, not play." Upon her Introduction Daniel sighed, "You're Gouka...my opponent?" The demoness nodded a slight smirk tugging at her lips. Daniel grinned, "Great, so you can do me a favor...go lay down and die somewhere, save me the time and effort." He turned to leave, not noticing the hateful look that marred her face now.

The demoness glared at him, "What did you say to ME?!" her power spiked and her form was engulfed by flame. She'd never been spoken to like that before. "Burn to cinders ignorant boy!" She launched a wave of fire at Daniel, who'd turned around just in time to move out of the way.

Daniel glared at the woman, a second later and he would have been nothing but ash on the ground. "What the hell is with you?" Another volley of flames were thrown at him, forming his tonfas, he batted them aside. "Well, guess our match is coming early." That said, he dashed in at impressive speeds, ducking low under her outstretched arms, coming up with a slash, it was dodged, barely, a deep gash scarring her face. A smirk played on Daniel's face when she stumbled back looking ready to scream. "You even trying?"

Gouka stumbled and shouted in aggravation, feeling the blood leak down her face. "Damn you!" The blood running down her face boiled, before evaporating. She dashed forward snatching his arm as he raised it to block. "BURN!" Suddenly his arm was engulfed in flames. He let out a shout of pain, prompting a crazed grin, until a pain erupted in her chest and stomach. She let go of Daniels scorched arm, looking down at the deep gash on her torso. "You slashed me..."
