 Kai Kozaku the Half-Shadow-Demon
Kai knocked on the Headmistress's door before entering the office "Hello?" he asked in a particularly lazy and uncaring voice as he entered and looked around. He wondered if anyone was even there or if he was just wasting his time.

It had been a week since the incident, and a day since Aysun had been able to leave the hospital. The bruise around his neck from the noose had faded away, but that was the only good thing considering his wounds. He'd had to have surgery for fissures on his backside caused by the constant abuse from multiple people, and his legs wouldn't be able to work for two to three months. Using a wheelchair was harder than Aysun imagined, but fortunately Parker was around most of the time to wheel him around. Aysun rolled himself down the hallway, ignoring the stares he got from students and the whispers and gossip following him.
"Why's he in a wheelchair?" "Did you get messaged about a livestream last week? It was all about him!" "He took in, like, three at the same time!" "Is he okay...?" "Eww, I don't want him helping me with anything."
He ignored all those voices until he managed to get into the head mistress's room, having been called to talk about the future. He already knew what the problem was. If he had to guess, he'd have to be suspended for the rest of the year, at least until everything could settle. That was fine. Leaving the hospital was troubling enough with a crowd of reporters all aching to hear the story from the victim of the crazy livestream. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to fight them off every day of the week while heading to the school.

Parker Loupohl-Court ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Parker glared at anyone who stared too long, raising a fist to threaten a student who mocked his precious husband. How dare they speak that way about a man who had no say in his capture?! They were all disgusting, all worthless scum. He was going to kiss some a-s, and soon.Once inside the office, Parker stood tall with a hand on his hip. He was dressed in his lawyer garb, there not only to wheel Aysun in, but to represent him. "This better be f-cking good," he hissed. "Aysun has physical therapy to cope with being horribly assaulted by disgusting individuals." He glared openly at the board members in there, his father's and his reputations preceding them. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

Many of the members shivered at Parker's venomous glare. The head mistress, however, didn't share that worry. If she did, she didn't show it. She sat at the end of the table, leaned forward with her mouth covered by her laced fingers. Her eyes were filled with pity at the wheelchair bound teacher. "This will be brief, Mr. Loupohl," she told the angry man. "As you already know, Mr. Court was the victim of a horrible incident. However, that livestream was seen by countless students and their parents. Returning to teaching simply isn't an option anymore." She sighed and set her hands on the table. "I'm sorry, Mr. Court, but your services are no longer required at this school." Aysun stared at the table, feeling everyone gaze on him, seeing them study his every expression. He'd been fired. Teaching was never a dream job of his, but he didn't hate it. Getting to watch the students enjoy their time baking, even getting to sneak one to Parker when he came down to lecture, it made him start to understand why his parents stayed as teachers for so long. But just like that, by a fate he had no say in, he'd just lost his job. His gaze slowly drifted to his legs, stuck in their casts. He couldn't go to The Rose Garden, and now he didn't have this. What's he supposed to do now?

Parker Loupohl-Court ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Parker was very still, very silent as the headmistress spoke. He thought hard, struggling to determine what the right course of action was. Aysun had already had so much taken away from him. How could he lose this too? Alright, Parker knew what he had to do. He knew what needed to be done. Walking over to the other end of the table, he crooked his finger and lowered his voice. "Move," he commanded. The board member scurried out of the seat, which Parker took and crossed his legs. "Do you have any idea what you've just done?" he asked, hard eyes on the headmistress. "When my husband was returned to me, he was half-dead. He had to have surgery just to be kept together. He has to attend physical therapy just to be able to walk in six months. By taking away this job, because of an assault he had no control over, you are wrongfully terminating him. As his lawyer, I must tell you that what comes next will not be easy and I wish you the best of luck. But as his husband?" He slowly stood, setting his hands on the table and leaning to stare at them all, eyes so cold they could've frozen them all in place. "When I'm finished with you, you will all be disgraced and left behind without a pot to sh-t in. I will take your jobs, your reputations, and if all goes well, any hopes of a successful future. You will never work again. You pissed off the wrong family." Parker then turned to wheel Aysun out, eyes glaring forward and threatening to harm anyone who so much as looked at them wrong. He was so angry, he was trembling. He could only imagine how Aysun felt. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

There was some invisible wall that shielded the mistress from Parker's flames, unlike the rest of the group. She sat calmly and quietly as she was threatened with complete ruin. "Mr. Loupohl," she said loudly enough for the lawyer to hear at the other side of the room. "This anger you've shown me, it's not the first. I have had countless parents raising hell with me for allowing a brothel owner to teach their kids. There are currently several private investigators roaming around the school to find out what other scandals your husband has hid. But you are just one person, and this school has countless parents. You can charge the highest price you can think of to sue us with, and we'll pay it. The way things are now, students will be taken out of the school left and right and our reputation will plummet - if it hasn't already. We mean no disrespect, but a prostitute cannot teach children."
A gentle hand reached over to brush against Parker's. "It's okay," Aysun quietly told his husband, smiling lightly at him. "I wouldn't be able to face my students again anyway. And now I don't have to push my way through an army of reporters every morning anymore. It's... It's okay, Parker. Let's just go home." He turned around quickly to hide his face. His lip was quivering and he was struggling to breath steadily. He'd lost nearly everything. His freedom, his wonderful jobs. All of it just because he severed ties with his biological family. But... he had to stay strong. He had to keep smiling. His parents would do that, and now he had to too.

Parker Loupohl-Court ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ Parker glanced back, looking at the headmistress as if she were the dirt under his shoe. "Why not? There's one in charge of the school." he replied coldly.
Once outside, Parker's anger didn't ebb at Aysun's touch. In fact, the quiet words only fueled his rage. How dare they be so unkind to such a delicate soul? They didn't deserve Aysun. He was going to ruin them, even if Aysun saw the bright side in this. He was going to ruin them anyway. It wasn't until they got outside to the parking lot that Parker realized what Aysun must've been going through. Instead of going to the car, he directed them towards the garden, walking through the flowers until they reached the maze. He pushed them inside, grateful it was time for class so that they wouldn't find any students. Once safely hidden, Parker rounded the wheelchair and knelt in front of his husband, taking his hand. "Cry," he said quietly. "It's okay, baby. Cry." ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦

Aysun shook his head. "No, I'm fine. See?" He tried to smile, but his face betrayed him. His mouth refused to twitch upwards, and the more he tried to look happy the sadder he became. Eventually he closed his eyes and let the large, hot tears stream over his face as he began to cry. "I deserve this!" he cried into his hands. "I deserve this for everything I've done in the past, all the times I've cheated on people and used them! I deserve to be stuck in this damn wheelchair and to lose both my jobs! It's all my fault!"

Parker Loupohl-Court ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ The man shook his head, taking Aysun's hands and prying them away from his face. "No. No, you don't. Aysun, look at me. Do you remember what I told you when we were kids and that bully beat you up for dressing like a girl? Do you remember?" His hand released one of Aysun's to move hair from his face. "I said, "Aysun, you deserve all the happiness there is. You deserve rainbows and kittens and candy and love and wonderfulness." Do you remember?" He inched closer, hand touching his lover's cheek. "Look at me. You are not that person. You are kind and intelligent, and loyal and beautiful. You still deserve rainbows and kittens and candy and love and wonderfulness. We will get through this together. You and me, Aysun. We'll make it through. I will never leave your side." His hand fell to take Aysun's again, squeezing gently. ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
