Laguna watched until the red dragon was no longer visible, he then trekked onward into the nearby forest. He didn't know where or how to begin his search but he couldn't turn back now. Cripes this was almost as bad as the time he and Kiros and Ward decided to check out that excavation site. As he made his way down the path among the trees.....he couldn't help but feel like there was immenent danger all around. He flicked the safety off of his gun and readied himself.

The Hedgehog Pie grunted as it was hit, glaring at Yuffie.

They were leaving, again.
It was something that always made Yuna sad. To see the island of Besaid drifting into the distance.
The last time, it had been to fight SIN.
This time...
Yuna was far from sure what was going to happen to herself and Rikku, but she knew that they had a lot of work to do before her fight was over.
But what was it they were facing?
Yuna strolled along the deck of the S.S. Liki. It was the same vessel which had transported her and her friends to Kilika Island, and then later to Luca Harbor.
She could easily remember that night, as she talked to Tidus and watched, unseen, as he perfected his father's blitzball move, the Jecht Shot. She had smiled for him then, seeing a little bit of everything she knew of home within the teen. He certainly had the drive and determination needed for a top blitzball player.
Wakka and the rest of the Aurochs had been proud of him when he had first arrived. And they were still proud of him to this day.
Yuna stood at the bow of the ship, watching the waves slip over the sides. She smiled, feeling free as the boat rushed across the ocean.
Free and alive.
That night, they arrived in Midgar...

Yuffie was more quiet now, pleased with her hit.
(Yes, yes, I was thinking that myself, sweetheart-----except mother%*@$ers keep kicking me off to talk to my g'damn little sister, who takes her time---and the one call for me the time before last, I couldn't finish three words with Meghan because of the 6 beeps on the otherline I got. Utterly ridiculous, sorry for the delays. You might want to expect these.)
She would have uttered a small, victorious battle cry, but she had to be more aware of the environment around her---and more importantly----
.................................Those tourists???
Well, at least she knew that this thing would be dead soon, and she'd get more money atop of whatever she robbed those other three or....two..or....how many were there? Again.
Aeris, meanwhile, rose to her feet, dropping one of the daffodils she'd been intending to sell. The Planet was screaming...
"Hush, hush, hush, tell me what's the matter...!" she whispered urgently, looking around towards the ceiling. "What??? I see..."
She had sensed it herself nevertheless, but this only affirmed what she feared. She would have said it out loud if anyone had been around, but there was only one reaction:
To hell with this, I need to go home and get my staff.
She exited, and took the fastest shortcuts she could.

Yuffie blinked. "You wasted all of that, for a cut..." she muttered, her HP down to 6/10. Granted, she was bleeding.....
But hey! An eye for an eye, right?!!! She flung her shuriken at the thing crazily, letting out a soft whoop.

As he pushed onward, Laguna heard the sound of a battle. Quickly he rushed toward the sounds of clashing steel and impact on rock. He came to a small clearing and saw a young lady assaulted by a creature the likes of which he had never before seen. He reached into his pack and pulled out a grenade, tossing it out at the scene.......it exploded but appeared to have no effect on the creature except merely knocking it back.
((The classic FF7 Battle Theme would then change to The Man with the Machine Gun))
He rushed to the side of the ninja and spoke. "Looks like you could use a hand"
He cocked back his gun and let forth a small blast of bullets into the Pie.

Well it all worked out in the end----
Wait a second, who the hell?!!!!?
Yuffie blinked for a moment in disbelief at the man with the machine gun, blinked again, and then whipped her shuriken at her attacker, not really caring at this point whether or not it hit.
It would be ironic and just her luck to critically hit at this point.
"Who the hell are you??" she asked skeptically, crossing her arms before turning back to the pig and catching her shuriken. If it was bloody, she didn't notice.

As the shower of bullets poured forth into the beast he smiled and nodded to the girl, his body shaking from the kick of the gun.
"I'm Laguna......pleased to meet you"
He reaches over to shake her hand and brings the gun's aim with him, nearly hitting her....he jumps back and throws it in the air in surprise.....it does a somersault and lands back in his hands.
"OH....err sorry about that"
He smiles and continues shooting..

Rikku steped of teh boat alogn with Yuna and took a deep breath of the chill nihgt air of Midgar.
She gave a sidelong galnce at Yunni and grinned, "Ready to head off again? Which reminds me: where exactly do we go now?"
