-Camelia Grey-
That man was definitely going to be the death of her. Camelia shook her head at the noises from the other. Isaac at least had settled, but she had to consider what to do with him. Really... they hadn't even defined where they were at, and he tried to jump her in front of their child!? Goddess! A raised eyebrow came from the woman as Vladimir tried to justify his actions. He's deprived... Excuse her for letting childbirth kill her mood. Speaking of killing, that's what she seemed to be doing... Camelia scoffed and rolled her eyes at that stupidity. <******** you Vladimir" she merely said at the door after that pathetic attempt of getting her to open the door. "Two things-" She would've said them right there, but the sudden shift of her son made her stop and look down. Oh great... just like his father... These two would be the death of her. "Vladimir if you break down that door, you will not be able to walk for a week" threatened the woman through the door. Eventually she'd have to go out... but for now... "And deal with your horny depression until my son, the one you forgot about, falls asleep." Sounds about right, then she'd go out there. For now, she'd sit on the rocker in the room and keep her son calm.

Vlad opened his mouth to yell some more but he was at a loss for words. And he didnt want to upset his son anymore. But there was no way in Hell he was going to just... take care of his... discomfort. That's what she was for! So it took Vladimir a few moments of silence to gather his thoughts, and even then... it was more feeling than a well thought out speech to get Cam to open the door. "Im not going to break down the damned door... Id rather not replace it when i move in. Im not about to break down a door to a nice house that we can raise children in." Vlad growled unaware of the hints his heart was letting through. Oh Vlad did love her, deep down, it was just going to take some time for him to realize his feelings for her fully. "Just.. let me in so we can talk. Just open the door. Ill calm him, down he.. he's my son too you know. Your not doing this on your own, its made me feel bad enough i missed most of your pregnancy with him." Vlad added as he glared at the door. Dammit Camelia! "And im not doing THAT either.. " Vlad said as he pointed at the door definitely. "..mainly for two reasons, one i want you. Two its not the same by myself. Three- Goddamit Camelia just open the door, im not going to talk to you through this thing!" Vlad growled lightly. He jiggled the handle before sighing angrily. "Its really ******** annoying and this is not how our fights should end. Other men might be fine with going to the dog house when their girlfriend is mad at them. But not me. If were going to do this girlfriend boyfriend s**t there's no dog house for me. And ill be damned if your sleeping on the couch. Ill follow you around the house, no matter how angry you are at me. So now im going to stand in front of this ******** door and wait until you get your a** out here, so we can talk." Vlad barked. "Because im not going anywhere." Vlad added before he waited for the door to open.

-Camelia Grey-
There were a couple things that left Camelia simply staring at the door. All of them were words that came out of his mouth. Sometimes when he talked, he would say things about the future, or probabilities. Usually she ignored them, but this one made her stop and ask "What?" for a moment. He started going on then about his son... That part made her narrow her eyes at the door. Oh she was still pissed about that. She'd probably use it as a low blow in the future when they fought over the boy. Finally Vladimir managed to have her roll her eyes at his dilemma. Sheesh... she'd have to get him one of those dolls... Maybe that'll help. Now all of that was just simple and pretty normal comeback from the male, that she would've just ignored, and stayed calmly in her place. However, his last words left her confused for a moment. Did he just say what she thought he said? Screw being stubborn and showing who's in control. She needed to figure this out now. So after standing up and comforting the infant just a bit more, Camelia put the boy in his crib, making sure he was safe and comfortable before leaving him.
It had been... What? Three minutes? Something like that when Camelia opened the door. She looked at him with slightly careful eyes before closing the distance between them. "One." With that she threw a punch at his shoulder. "That's for missing my pregnancy" she said with quite a bit of attitude. The woman took a step back, leaning against the door's frame. "Two. ...You... said girlfriend boyfriend..." Just as she said, Camelia didn't believe that. "What are we Vlad? ...Really? I mean..." Well she liked him, that much had been clear the moment she decided to stay in Nirvani. Of course he didn't know until she told him she was pregnant but... She knew him... this wasn't going to happen. Especially with her, she wasn't his type. And he... well Camelia wasn't sure if she could trust him... not like that, not even if she did like him, or a little more than like. "You've been a big help but... Let's be honest here..."

Vlad hadnt seen the punch coming so he took the full force of that one. Didnt he say she hit hard? Well if he didnt, she hit pretty damned hard. Vlad immediately grabbed his shoulder in response to the pain and made a 'ow' face. That had really hurt! He listened to Camelia, her words putting a light frown on his lips. It got him thinking. He hadnt realized he had called them boyfriend and girlfriend. But she was right.. what were they? "I said that?" Vlad questioned, had he really said that? Where had that come from? " That hurt you know." Vlad said as he rubbed his shoulder still, half in thought, half just looking at her cute features. "Its bad enough i feel guilty about missing the pregnancy Cam. You dont have to punch me everytime it comes up. Still..." Vlad said to her trying to search for the right answer to her question. "I dont know Cam.." Vlad shook his head and sighed. "It.. all this has been new for me. I havent lived with anyone else but my brother, this whole father situation is new as well." Vlad said honestly. "This whole relationship or whatever this is is new too. I've never actually dated someone for an extended period of time. Im not exactly boyfriend material." Vlad said before he realized what he said and regreted it instantly. He held up his hands and sighed. "I didnt.. im just digging myself into a deeper hole right now. I.. s**t Cam... " Vlad half growled out of frustration at her question, that he didnt have an answer for. "I dont have an answer for you. Not a clear one anyways. Im a fish out of water... i dont know what to say or if its right or not. But.. i still meant what i said. Id rather stay infront of this door or behind it with you yelling at me. Then head back to my own apartment alone. And its not just because of Isaac." Vlad said sincerely. It was the truth he just didnt know why he felt that way. He didnt know what they were. But he knew he wanted to be around her and Isaac. What that meant.. he didnt know.

"Actually I won't be done with that anytime soon" snapped Camelia about him being guilty enough about missing her pregnancy. Sheesh, as if guilt would erase all those horrible weeks. ******** that. The silent still lingered before he spoke up. Perhaps the silence was better. Camelia merely raised an eyebrow as he dug himself deeper and deeper. She shook her head for a moment, her long hair making more of a statement covering her face as she shook her head. He was out of place in this... she was too of course, and honestly... it was about time she stopped thinking about him. As usual, or rather more lately, he didn't have a clear answer. "...Look this isn't exactly what I wanted either... I'm not good at relationships, they're never really worked for me." Rather guys always had some sort of issue with her. Normally it was that she was too explosive... or too rough... or something like that along with not opening up enough... "Besides I'm barely handling having a kid now... You don't think that's new on me either?" Her tone was rather off though. She was confused in this. Of course she had feelings for the man, but this was going too fast. "I don't..." The brunette had started for a moment, but then she stopped and looked back to the child's crib. "...Maybe we should just keep it slow... like before..." This was all fine just as friends... right? It would probably cause more trouble than anything... besides what did they really know about each other? She probably wouldn't say it right now, but a big part of this had been him leaving her alone like that... He could apologize all he wanted, but it really shattered her confidence in him. Half of her expected him to change his mind at any moment and just leave.

Of course she wouldnt be done punching him, and he would never really stop her either. Verbally protest but nothing more, because he knew deep down he deserved it. Vlad sighed lightly and nodded at Cam's words. "I know its new for us both. Everything." Vlad said gently before he approached cam and slipped his arms around her waist. He pulled her close and smiled, only to place a kiss on her forehead. "I think slow sounds good, Camelia." Vlad said as he took his hand and ran it through her locks. "Maybe i should get a book on relationships, eh?" Vlad smirked. " What not to do, what do to. Vlad stop that your being an a**." Vlad chuckled lightly as he held Cam in his arms. "I know.. how about.." Vlad said as he got an idea. "..we get someone to watch Constantine. Integra or Hans or one of your friends. And we can go out and have a nice dinner sometime. Do a real date, or even just a simple friends dinner." Vlad suggested before he through a look of, 'i cant believe im being this sappy'. "Hey look woman im trying, it might be sappy as hell but you cant blame me for trying to start somewhere." Vlad added. "Or,..." Vlad said as he smirked devilishly. "We can make sure Constantine is asleep before we go back to that living room and have a wrestling match. You can get a few more punches in, and when thats done we can have crazy passionate sex on that nice coffee table." Vlad added with a chuckle.

Huh... maybe it could go back to the way it was before... At least that's what she thought when he pulled her in and simply kissed her forehead. She nodded, slow was good. Just being held like this was nice, it was simple but so nice. "Uh, no." No no, just take it slow. "Again, uh no." Really? Was he getting that sappy? That would simply not work. "Don't try to do that... it really takes away any manliness you have left. Besides... it gets boring if you actually went that way" said the woman shaking her head. This would've been quite a pretty conversation before he added that last bit. "Not happening. If we did get into a wrestling match..." her voice drifted to playfully push him away and grin. "You would be unconscious before anything actually happened." Something like this was better... but would it actually last? Now that was a question... rather the question.

Vlad laughed, he couldnt agree more with the woman, except about the whole he would be unconscious bit at the end there. Well maybe she could knock him out but he wouldnt have made it easy for her. But she was right, that was ******** sappy s**t right there. But his manliness?! " Hey thats not fair. I have alot of manli-" Vlad thought back to him playing with his son when Camelia caught them. okay his man card may have been temporarily revoked at that time. "Alright fine, you win. This sucks, i really wanted to ruin that coffee table.. and you." Vlad smirked before he groped Camelia's a** with a grin. "Maybe not tonight but i will wear you down Cam." Vlad said that wolf's look returning to his eyes. "You cant keep this wolf in a cage for too long." Vlad said as he leaned in and snapped his jaws at Camelia's neck, inches from her skin just to tease her. "Im going to go take a cold shower. And then we can watch a sports game, drink beer and have a bleching contest. That manly enough for you?" Vlad grinned, before he spanked Cam's a** and released her from his grip. He headed to the bathroom to relieve some tension and clear his head. Yes. For the first time in his life, nearly, he was going to go do... that. -End day-

After walking through the front gate, the officer found herself standing at the door to the home and simply staring at it in a manner that would remind one of looking at the classroom in which the final exam of their very worst subject was about to begin. She felt challenged by it, oddly enough, but Romane was never one to allow such a challenge to knock her from the idea of even trying – and succeeding. There was never any other option for the redhead and, today, as she hit her knuckles against the wood to produce a short series of knocks, Romane knew she hadn't any choice here either. So, she resigned herself to this fact as she waited at the door, looking at what she assumed to be Camelia's eye level in wait. She couldn't hear much within the building, but she had no worries about Vladimir opening the door to interupt them this visit. Only Camelia and her infant should be within and, if not, then she would have to do the next logical choice and search the island for them. There wasn't very many places for Camelia to go – the woman had next to no friends that Romane had observed, her work was on hold as she tended to the child, and her last trip to the grocers had been too soon for her to be out shopping.

-Camelia Grey-
It had been a pretty normal day... If you called normal to be alone with a child who had just gotten to sleep, which gave the woman a chance to shower and change, plopping down at the sofa. Her gaze was met with the ceiling, it had become her spot for thinking lately. It had been what? Perhaps a couple of days since Vladimir had left to take care of an errand or something... He didn't quite say, and she was more than busy with an upset baby. Still... he hadn't come back, and the woman's mind was rounding up possible reasons to what could've happened, however kidnapped by the clinic was not in the list... It probably just happened... He changed his mind... It was still lingering in her mind, just what the hell had she gotten into? Well what she had she gotten into was a better question. Affection for the man had her ignoring a lot of things... Camelia was just about cursing at herself for going into that confusing string of thoughts before a few knocks interrupted the silence around the home. There was someone there? That was... unexpected. The woman stood up from her place, walking over to the door to open to be met with Romane. If the she only knew of the tabs the officer kept on her... "...Can I help you officer?" asked the brunette softly. What was her name again? Well she hadn't actually said last time... and last time Vladimir came so...

She really had been holding this off too long, but, as soon as the door had opened to a peaceful, if not cluttered, house, a stressed woman, and inquiring green eyes, she remembered why she had done so. Romane knew this wouldn't be easy and, no matter the years her father had grounded into her to think otherwise, her want to accomplish even the hardest of tasks as soon as possible had been worn away. She was tired of such things and, so, she had slacked off, to be blunt. She couldn't allow that for long, however, which meant she had to do this now. She steeled her face and looked slightly up at the woman, not budging in her lack of expression as she spoke, “Good evening, Ms. Grey. It would be in your benefit if you would allow me into your home immediately.” Would it really? ..No, but, Romane didn't know what else to say. Every other thought would more likely result in her having to use force than any sense of compliance from the woman, so Romane had to settle with that doubtfully true statement. She doubted she would be any better liked for this no matter how she carried it out, anyway.

It wasn't that cluttered... THAT cluttered anyways. The child had been taking a toll on Camelia's peace, but everyone knew children did that. She just wished to dump him on his father at some point at another house, where she could just have five hours of sleep. Oh five hours sounded nice... But those thoughts were held back in favor of paying attention to the officer. It was her second visit, and she still wasn't sure what this was about. The woman sure was persistent... "I guess... What's going on?" asked Camelia, merely taking a step back and opening the door completely to let her in. "You didn't exactly get to it the last time you were here." Really, but we could blame Vladimir for that... and for a lot of things that she'd surely be bitter about in the future, but right now we settle for mere curiosity, and perhaps a bit of worry. A small, naive part of her figured it was just something not really important, but she didn't know Romane of course. Even the smallest things could be made important... and this one wasn't small, so it was easy to foretell that this would not go well. Least to the narrator...

She let her in. Romane had trouble deciding if that was truly a good thing or not, but, for the sake of moving on past this damned hesitance, Romane decided to think of it as good. Compliance was a rare thing to see in her field – in her life, actually, from anyone but herself. She would have to think such self-pitying thoughts at a later time, however, when she wasn't busy with work. She found her eyes hovering on a few of the laid about objects – toys, a blanket or outfit, perhaps a diaper – the usual things a parent would use frequently and become careless with as weariness set in. It almost disgusted Romane, but she held her tongue out of what little respect she could offer Camelia. A single mother could only do so much. It wasn't her fault, was it? She raised her eyes and frowned at her, remaining silent for a time after Camelia spoke, half listening to the household, the other half studying the woman. Camelia was a pretty girl, though Romane never had much of a perception on what was 'pretty' and what wasn't. People were people, all of their attraction laying in their life's work rather than any physical traits. It probably sounded a little ideal for her to think that way, but considering Romane's critical way of viewing people.. It didn't bring many into her ideas of attraction. Still, she could tell by this point that, as other people would see, Camelia was a pretty, young woman.
It only made this worse. “I did not have a similar task at that time, Ms. Grey.” She informed her once the silence began to ebb even on Romane's patience. She paused again and considered whether it would be the appropriate time, but.. she would rather not risk anything. “Where is the infant? Constantine Isaac Tepes, correct?” Why the woman had decided to give the child the 'father's' last name was beyond her, but it certainly helped the case against her.

Task? Now Camelia was just borderline confused. What was this all about? She wouldn't be one to argue with an officer, for the simple common sense that they could, you know, arrest you. However, she'd like to know why there was a nagging nervous feeling somewhere in her with the officer here. "He's sleeping, in his room" replied the woman, crossing her arms defensively in front of her. "...Why?" The silence before had been ebbing on her patience as well, but Romane beat her to it. This time however she spoke up. "Could you just tell me why you're here? What you want? Something?" It was getting unsettling to say the least... Constantine, damn that name... What did she want with him? Every thing was fine here... with of course the tiny detail of a missing Vladimir, but she was just hating him right now.

There was a frown on the redhead's lips as she saw that Camelia hadn't gone and fetched the child, as she had hoped she would. It seemed this would be much more difficult than she had thought it would. It was against Romane's ethical code to not answer the woman's inquiry – she couldn't withhold information on a charge placed against her, not after she had complied with allowing her into the home. Still, she hesitated when she responded, “..Ms. Grey, I am sorry to inform you that you are being charged with child endangerment and are no longer viewed as suitable for being in possession of the infant. I am required to take the child and place him into a foster home until a final decision is made by the court.” She didn't know how she managed to say that with such a stern, straight expression, but Romane supposed she had finally managed to detach herself from the situation. Vladimir was a lost cause as a friend and, however much she disliked accepting that fact, she needed to. It was for the best. “You will receive a court date through the mail, as well as any other information you require. Currently, I request your compliance in handing the child over.”
