Dana smiled and hugged him. "Good. Glad everything will be fine. So when do we meet up with the others?"

"Well, right now we look for anything useful, any hints that might tell us what the military could be planning with that machine," Dan said, shrugging. "And then, we get the hell outta Dodge, and meet up with Team Delta in the base. They should've carved a nice little hole in their defenses, so we can just skeedadle over to the lab once we've grabbed everything in here."

Raziel approached the pod that was still intact, and then turned his attention to the terminal beside it. He pushed a button and activated it, then entered the code. Within moments, a beeping sound began to emmit from the pod. Raziel approached it. Steem was released from two openings on the top of the pod. The door slide open, revealing the robotic organism inside. It was about the height of a 12 year old boy. Its torso lead directly into its head. The arms and legs were nimble, with ball-point joints. Part of the head was made of glass, which revealed to be housing a brain. The machine spoke.
"Loading personality: Gabriel Monroe. " Was heard from three horizontal lines across the head-piece.
Raziel stared at the robot, eyes widened. "That's my uncle's name..."

Dana watched in fascinated horror and she gripped Raziel's hand tightly. "What could that mean?" She whispered.

"Maybe he cloned his brain or something, and put it in a robot... Or maybe his actual brain got put in a robot somehow..." Daniel shrugged. As grotesque as this was, he found it eerily fascinating.

Raziel was awestruck, he was simply expecting another mindless robot. But could it be true that his uncle lived on through this metallic body?
The robot's body shifted around, turning to each of us, before landing on Raziel. It then spoke up. "Raziel. Is that you?" in a voice sounding human enough, although sounding slightly robotic.
Raziel nodded.
"I suppose you are all wondering how this came to be. Allow me to explain." The robot then moved to the wall, and pushed a button. The wall split down the middle, and opened up to reveal two pods, one filled to the top with water, the other open and empty. Gabriels body was in the one filled, with two bullet wounds on the torso. "As the young man stated, I did indeed clone my brain. It took place in here. I had managed to get inside before my heart stopped.. Although it worked. I feel stiff." Then there was robotic laughter.

Dana stared at the robot in shock. Her bottom lip was currently being chewed on and she tried to avert her eyes but couldn't. So she continued to stare.

"Pretty gruesome... But fascinating," Daniel muttered, nodding as he tapped on the glass.

The robot approached Daniel, raising one mechanical arm in front of him. "Careful, my boy, the glass on these pods is highly fragile. Any sudden impact would surely shatter it, why else would I keep it behind these walls? Besides simply keeping it in secrecy, of course."Â And with that, he turned to the group. "Tell me, what is it you are here for?"Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

Dana ran her fingers through her hair and bit her lip. This was...odd and not what she expected.

"Well, we're trying to figure out what the military wanted with that machine you were working on. Actually, I'm not even sure what the machine even did... Perhaps a little elaboration on the subject would clear things up?" Daniel asked, raising an eyebrow as he stopped tapping the glass.

After a slight silence, Gabriel spoke up. "I do believe you are referring to the E.H.P.D Mark II. Or, Element Harnessing Power Dispenser. The machine was an idea given to me by one of Raziel's videogames a few years back. I suggested the idea of creating a "element harnessing machinery" that would absorb energy from the everything and everything around it, concentrating it into a certain supernatural ability, most suited for the user. I made the mistake of bringing it up at a meeting, and was forced to create it. I continued to tell them that it was not possible for a machine to do such a thing, and was assigned in creating the Machine that created the three of you, while I continued my research on creating such a machine. I succeeded, and had assigned Raziel with the delivery of the machine to my partner in research. Dr. Thomas Greene. Apparently he spoke up about my secret project. It wasn't long after that the Military infiltrated my home." The entire time Gabriel was speaking, he did not draw a breath. As there was no need to, he was simply a brain in a robots body.
Afterwards, Raziel spoke up. "They must of came after I was attacked...this "E.H.P.D" was the machine that gave me my power. The machine that turned me into a battery...it's...their fault...those people died in the explosion that day..." Raziel lowered his head, soon harboring the thought that it was also his fault.
Ian was spoke up finally. "We got our info, we need to go. We can take Gabriel with us, maybe give Daniel a lab-partner." He smiled a little bit.

"I'm flattered," Daniel muttered sarcastically, smirking jokingly at Ian. He raised an eyebrow at Gabriel, and frowned. "As much of a good idea as that is, didn't you say you're all fragile and stuff? We're about to infiltrate a military base. That means angry dudes with guns, angry machines with death-rays and lots of blades, and maybe some failed experiments that they've tried to fix, or made recently." He glanced back to Ian for a moment, before looking at Gabriel again. "Think you can handle it? You're welcome aboard if so. But make up your mind quick, because we've got to move. Delta's probably made it to the test subject room by now."

"Only the glass concealing my brain. My metalic form is armed with a energy field emmiter, and, well, I haven't created a name for it yet. Did I mention I can hook myself up and override any machinery, and not only that, but this body was made for applying upgrades and new technology. I'll do fine." Said Gabriel, as he pushed a button that closed up the two pods in the wall, then pushed another button, and the pod in which Gabriel had walked from sunk into the ground, revealing rectangle shaped openings running down the wall. Bars popped out of them, before connecting into a ladder that lead up to a hatch. "Shall we?" Asked Gabriel, with the slightest hint of robotic pride in his creation.
Ian smirked. "This old guy's got it made. Maybe you have some competition, Daniel." He said.

"Psh. Competition," Daniel scoffed, chuckling to himself. There was no such thing as competition for Daniel. He could just touch the robot, and instantly (sorta) know whatever he/it knew. Sure, he had a seizure kinda deal. But, there was no such thing as smarter than Daniel.
