A golden and russet Talaye bounded into the area, glancing around curiously.

She suddenly wailed. "Why are there so many little Talaye?" Serenity didn't understand at all. It wasn't too hard to confuse the pup-like Tala, but this was a real brain teaser. Not even pups were this small!

"Dear, they are new Talaye..I think," her mother Miko replied.

The tan and black striped Tala followed after her daughter, glancing around for her mate, Sirius. Probably off asleep somewhere. "I heard there was to be a tea party, where is it?"

Lori, the mother of both of them, rode astride Miko rather well. She'd been riding the Tala since Miko was big enough to hold her. "Tea, tea!" She exclaimed, tugging on the braids hidden in the elder Tala's mane. The red-head was more than a little hyper on the tons of chocolate she'd had today.

Ali looked up when he saw 2 large talaye join the teaparty. His green eyes grew wide as he looked at them. "Wow...." he said, awed by their size.

Uenoh'ai ventured into the clearing holding a small note in her trembling hand. She was flushed with anticipation and she chewed excitedly on her bottom lip. Glancing back down at the note she read it about, mouthing her lips to the words.

'My love, you will find your present under the teacups and cosys of the pink and lime set. Follow the scent of roses and be sure to taste an exquisite fruit tart, I know how much you love them.

His signature was signed with great flourish, and Uennie smiled and laughed gently to herself. Reaching down she ran her quivering hand over the round stomach covered by the soft laboratory coat. Her stomach had swelled greatly, proudly announcing the coming of a child. Leaning back a bit, she gripped the side of a tree gently before pushing herself off, walking around the scented grass. Looking around while stroking her belly she smiled at the small Talaye embracing their new families.

A gentle aroma filled her senses and she basked in the rose atmosphere before following it to a small cherrywood table. A funky teaset of lime colour and pinks adorned it, with kiwi and other assorted fruit tarts awaiting her. Uenoh'ai furrowed her eyebrows and lifted the teacups, kneeling on the ground. Looking underneath the china she tilted her head.
____"I don't ... Understand?"

The woman nearly dropped the cup when she heard a small whuff. Looking around she peeked underneath the table. A dark reddish nose peeked out from under a red, yellow, and green reggae themed blanket covering the wicker basket. Reaching under, Uennie pulled the basket out and slowly removed the cloth to reveal a snuffling Talaye pup. She shrieked with joy and pulled the small thing up in her arms, petting and cuddling it. She covered its small face with kisses before holding it close and sighing happily.
____"I will name you Rastafari ..."

The pup sniffed her and snorted in her face before opening its mouth while grinning.
____"Well that's fine. I'll name you Mother, shall we call it a deal?"

Starlight got up, streching and walking slowly over to the food table, getting a cup of tea and shyly drinking it. He grabed a plain muffin, and sitting down on the grass. His eye caught by a fly, and he playfully pranced after it, trying to catch it. "Stupid bug..." he mumbled, in frustration.

Taxi wandered into the meadow, looking miffed. Not that it wasn't his usual expression, mind--it was just that today, Ara had forced him to socialize. Again.



The little black-checkered pup looked around, his gaze craving a familiar face, or at least an unhostile (or too cheery) one. Maybe someone who was as averse to social situations as he.

Careful to avoid people, he made a beeline towards the refreshments, grabbing some cakes and a bright yellow cup of tea. Yellow...like him. Such an obnoxiously cheerful colour. The only redeeming quality about his pelt, in his opinion, was the big black checkers, which offset the disgustingly happy base colour. And he had green eyes. But that didn't matter anyways.

Muttering about how he didn't like tea, he found a spot of shade to sit in and wait out his penance. Lapping up the liquid (which wasn't so bad despite the fact he still complained about it), he nibbled on his cake and watched the people go by.

Taxi looked up from his cake and tea with a clearly disgruntled expression. The pup who was disturbing him was very small--smaller than he was, even, and Taxi was pretty small for a Tala.

He debated growling at the other to make him leave, but say the slightly hesitant expression in the other's eyes and was pacified.

'Sides, Ara would pummel him until his bruises had bruises if he didn't 'make a friend' at the party. She'd said so--not that Taxi believed her. No way, nuh-uh.

"Hi." Taxi replied back, quietly, then wondered if he was supposed to start a conversation. What else could he say now? Oh yes!
"Want some cake?" he asked, motioning to his half-eaten morsel. Well, the intention was good, and it was the thought that counted, right?

Right.
