Emeriss descended from the sky on demonic wings, carrying Aura in her arms. As they dropped down to the top of the tower of darkness, Emeriss looked around over the castle landscaping figuring no one had seen her, she retracted her wings and set Aura to stand on her own. "Come little one," Emeriss smiled, "Lets figure out something to pass the time until the sun sets." She ushered Aura to the steps down into the tower's top floor, giving one brief glance back out to wonder about the others.

Nelo slid through the now lengthening shadows, moving almost as an ice skater glides over a frozen lake. He slipped into the door of the tower, and quickly dashed down into the cold celar to prepare for whatever may pass over the next few days. He gathered a small pakage of beef and a vial of blood from a newly slaughtered calf, and proceded to return to the upper levels, looking into all of the sleeping quarters to see who might have been getting some rest during the day.

Emeriss came pacing quietly down the steps from roof of the tower, leaving the rhythmic click of her heels as she took step after step down the stairs on her way toward the ground floor. As she looked over the railing, she noticed a familiar sight on the way up. With a gentle wave and smile, Emeriss sent a soft greeting, "Hi, Sumnor."

Nelo stopped when he heard the sound of shoes clicking down the tower stepps, and smiled when he looked up and heard a sound a greeting from a friend. "Hello, Emeriss." He said, as he quietly shut the last of the doors he would be opening. "Where is Aura?" He asked, surprised the tike was not making any sound at the mention of his street name.

"She's resting in her room right now, likely to awaken to her chipper self shortly.", Emeriss replied continuing down the stairs, hopefully to find a suitable spot to stop and chat before the ground floor. "So, hear anything else on how they're going to clear up this recently dead king and queen mess?"

"No, I haven't been around the castle, so I have no idea what is going to be done. The only thing I know is that the Water Princess was bailed out of the Hollows." He is gaze narrowed, and his voice took on the most serious of tones. "But I have a feeling sommething else is coming, and we, along with Light, are about to be thrown back into the mix."

"Ooh, what a shock," Emeriss said sarcastically, Shrugging and rolling her eyes, "Peace seems like an illusion with how sparse it is in this land." She leaned over the stair well railing, resting her head on her forearms as she looked down the center of the tower. "However, we do have an opportunity to build an empire. We don't have to be the 'fringe' element, exiled to the dark corners and nooks of the world anymore." She shifted an eyebrow and glanced toward Nelo, "By the way, That siren isn't a princess. She's just a greedy little girl who wants it all."
Letting one arm slip over the railing, Emeriss held up a hand and attempted to conjure a familiar energy. A small ember ignited just above her palm, but rather than radiating light it quickly darkened to a black flame incapable of illuminating the hall. "I used to be of the fire nation, and If I remember the cut and dry politics of the royals, they will be likely to make the first strike."

"How right you are." Iris shouted up from the bottom of stairs. She summoned her own element, using her fire to propel her up to the two Dark elementals. Unlike Emeriss's fire, hers lighted the dim hallway, creating both light and shadows. She landed lightly on the railing beside them "I would of knocked, but I saw you fly to the top of the tower, and I doubt that you would even hear me if I knocked." She let out a small laugh, "My name is Iris, I come here to talk to your Princess."

Nelo sheided his face from the heat and light, almost wanting to hiss in displeasure, but knew it wouldn't bring him any pride. After Iris asked about royalty, Nelo turned his gaze to Emeriss, and raised an eyebrow, as if to ask, We have a princess?

At the sight of the sudden intrusion, Emeriss closed her hand, snuffing out the little black flame above her palm as she stood up off the railing. Being a bit taken back at the just as sudden questioning, Emeriss glanced over to Nelo, meeting his gaze with a mirrored expression. She shrugged and shook her head slightly before returning her eyes to Iris. "Okay... Who?"

"The young girl that I saw at the meeting." Iris said, a bit confused, "She seemed to take charge, and I just assumed. After all, age doesn't matter if you are royalty or not, just your blood line." Still balancing on the rail, she crouched down so she was at eye level with the two Dark elementals, "Was I wrong? Because if I was, please correct me. I don't want to have the wrong information."

"Umm... I don't think she is ready to lead, even if she has royal blood." Nelo said, not realy wanting to admit his leader was a child. "We could stand in for her..."

"You're singing a different tune from yesterday, princess.", Emeriss mused, "anyway, She's currently resting and I'd rather you didn't disturb her. So what's this about?" She said, leaning back against the railing.

Iris smiled, "Before I get into my story, answer one question for me. What is it that you want the most, that will benefit your nation? Land? Food or some other resource? Anything that will benefit your nation as a whole." She sat on the stair railing, waiting for them to reply.

Emeriss thought briefly before answering, "Well, I suppose territory would be nice, a settlement with much more accessibility. We are very particular about our locations though. We can't have the sun beating down on us all day. My comrade here already found your little fire show to be a great discomfort. Resources on the other hand aren't a massive concern currently, we have our ways after all."
