Ryoma nodded and stood. "Yes, of course. I think I have a few splints in my pack..." As he walked over to where his bag was, he added, "I'm Ryoma, by the way. Ryoma Fuji." He smiled and retrieved the splints, walking back to Anima. "Here, let's bandage your foot. Careful, now."

"I am Anima..." She reached into her sleeves, pulling out bandages, "Thank you for helping me... I was never too good with splints..." She finished pulling out the bandage, looking up at him, then down to her ankle.

"Nice to meet you, Anima. Here, let me..." Ryoma smiled slightly, and gently took the bandages from the girl. His hands expertly wrapped her ankle while holding the splints in place. "There, I think it should be fine now...Do you think you can stand?"

"Thank you, Ryoma..." She gave him a smile, slowly pushing herself up so as not to make her ankle worse. She took a step forward with her leg, sending out a small shrill of pain, quickly going down.

"Ah, careful." Ryoma shook his head, frowning slightly. He pushed up his sleeves. "Here...if it's okay, let me carry you for now. . ." The boy knew it would be somewhat embarassing, but Anima's leg was injured...

((x3 And so continues the saga of short posts!))

Anima's cheeks slowly turned red, giving him a small nod, "Ok, ummm... My home is out here in the forest... I live there alone..." She looked down, "My family was killed... By a group of samurai..."

((Yea... Well, there is no form of action here...))

He was glad for her presence? This had to be a joke of some kind. Surely she knew of the comming war, and the bloodshed soon to come, but her, a female samurai, and he was not degrading her for her chosen path? Nor telling her she was better off dead. He was somone different, as was for sure from his words, but his action could prove otherwise. Then he started on a ninjas weakness, many time she herself had seen this in progress, so many wanting the power that went with the title of killing her for her fathers actions, but often times they would qurrel amongst themselves on who deserved to kill her more, giving her time to flee, or kill them instead. Then they reached a temple, a place her father would feel most welcome, but not her, a temple, no matter which one, just brought back bad memories of the attack on her home, and seeing her parents dead. However the other samurias next words brogut her to a rather angry hault. How dare he say she need to prove herself to a person only he knew. She had lived many years by her sword and never once been in any real danger, yet in order to receive this persons grace and kind words she had to prove herself to somone else? That was absurd and it showed in her expression for a moment that she was angry, but the expression was to his back and thus was not seen before she gathered herself.
"I really don't see why I must prove myself to somone only you know."
Despite her previous anger, she was in fact rather calm with her tone, showing no inner anger at all, only calm displeasure in the matter.

Ryoto had opened the doors to the temple when she asked him why she had to prove herself to his master. From the tone of her voice, she did not seem too keene on the idea and would probably give him a hard time. The samurai cringed when she spoke, trying to think of a way so she would not be angry anymore. As soon as she spoke however, he quickly shut the doors to the temple. For when one entered, one had to be at peace in the mind and soul. Slowly, he turned around, dreading what was to follow. He had planned to say something, but nothing came out. This pattern of not being able to speak, continued for quite a while, until he finally was able to say something. "Well, it's not necessarily proving somebody, it's just a way for our leaders to understand who you are. I mean, one can't just join and fight without getting to know the ones who are leading them into battle. I mean, you don't really have to do anything..." The samurai paused, a better word comming into mind. "Actually, I should have said that it was an introduciton. Yes, it is an introduction so that he can get to know you. Just a way to understand you... I didn't mean to offend you or anything..." As he waited for her answer, he could feel sweat trickling down his neck; his body was even shaking. Ryoto had stood up against many enemies, faced certain scenarios that were life threatening and looked upon as being impossible. But never had he ever been so nervous.

What is she thinking? Am I in more trouble? This is crazy... I don't know what is going on!

She watched as the doors to the temple were opened as she spoke. He seemed calm until the end of her sentence, then he was nervous and closed the doors rather quickly. He didn't want her in there and it became apparent to her now. She turned to leave while in the midst of her anger and hs started to speak to her again, causing her to turn and face him once more, though she was still far from calm.
"If it was an introduction, thats all you had to say, not making me feel like a lesser being by having to prove myself to a member of the temple. You really arent the type to talk much as I can see, either that or you get tongue tied when talking to females."
Yukana knew the last half of her little speach had to be fales, of he would not have been able to speak with the waitress, and the femal samurai doubted she was that intimidating to begin with. She however had calmed down some, but not all in this little moment, releasing most of her anger towards her words of this other samurais apparent shy nature.
"If it is an introduction, who are you going to tell you master I am? You dont even know what my name is, then again, you failed to give me yours as well so we both have a short stick on that subject."

Ryoma nodded, picking Anima up into his arms. He too began to blush as he took a few steps. When she said that her family was killed, he was still, fumbling for something to say. "Oh, I..I...I...I'm sorry....." He fidgeted slightly, looking around the forest. "U..um...which way....?"

Anima pointed at a somewhat worn path, "I walk the same way everyday, so I made a thin dirt pathway..." She tried to relax her body, trying to signal him to relax. She leaned against him, resting her head against Ryoma's shoulder, "You should learn to relax..."

Ryoto was dumbfounded after she brought up the subject of him being tongue-tied when speaking to females. The samurai looked down at the ground, trying to fight the shear embarressment of the moment. There was absolutely he could say; he was as useless as a statue, nothing to say, nothing to tell, just a monument standing forever. However, when she stated that his actions made her feel like she was a lesser being haunted. Although it was quite common in their day and age to look down upon females as being lesser beings, it was against what the samurai studied. Samurais were there for peace; a symbol of equality under the gods. While the entire world created classes and sexist and racist environments, the Samurai planned to go into the world and try and cleanse these thoughts with their teachings. This was the one thing that made it possible for Ryoto to speak. However, his head was still facing the ground when he spoke, making it hard for him to speak. "No... I do not believe that you are a lesser being. It is against our Code. Breaking it would result in excommunication. I am sorry if I made you feel that way..."

There was a long pause before Yukata spoke again. However, when she did, her words made it quite easier to respond to. When she had finished, the samurai immediately bowed before her, clasping his hands in a religious gesture as he did so. "Excuse me, I am Ryoto Masafumi. And what I mean by introduction, is nothing I will say... but what my master will... do." And, like before, the samurai turned to the mighty doors and opened them, revealing the temple inside.

Ryoma blushed, but let out a deep breath, trying to relax as Anima had suggested. "Alright, then," he smiled. His shoulders had relaxed as much as they could before he would drop her, and he started down the thin, dirt pathway.

"Thank you Ryoma, I am lucky that you were nearby..." She looked up, "If you want, I could repay you by cooking you something..." She looked down the road, the first signs of her above-ground hut appearing in view.

She laughed as she had tied his tongue once again with her words, causing him to become silent and just stand there, looking so stiff he could compare his stature to a rock. Then however he spoke, indicitating that he did in fact not mean to appear sexis in any wahy, which was was thankful for and nodded in proper respect. However then he then fell silent again which baffled her a great deal. Did he talk or didn't he? Was he forbidden to speak, or just plain shy? He however introduced himself and Yukana then felt the need to politely do the same for him.
"Yukana Shihori, daughter to Koji Shihori."
She too bowed, but in a diferent way with her face never leaving his sight, showing she was taught teaching of a temple much different in customs. Her voice in that moment had been rather stern, but at the same time so gentle. It was then her dark eyes fell on the opening doors, expecting them to close once more, only to watch as they remained open. Would he allow her in now for a proper introduction and possibly some rest or meditation?
