Ok so after awhile I've really started to get the hang of playing the drums but I still get quite a few strange looks and smart arse remarks from guys about being a girl who plays the drums.
SERIOUSLY!
Is it really that strange, a girl playing drums?
Think, if you weren't a drummer yourself would you think it'd be strange for a girl to play drums instead of something like... Piano, Clarinet, Violin and learning to sing? (All of which I should apparently be learning, according to others).

Today we had our group preformances and we were getting marked down for playing our instruments in time with the group ect.
There was the senior music class who were marking us, it was funny because they all looked at me strangely for being a chick drummer.

The only thing I would mind about a chick drummer is like if my girlfriend was a drummer and she got better than me i wouldnt eve live that one up. But i guess it would be cool anyway. wink
