I jsut want to start off by saying my heart goes out to everyone in the guild. I hope I'm able to show everyone my positive understanding side.
My name is Ashley, I am 18 years of age. I'm hoping to give support to everyone and gain friends in return. I don't like sharing what I have, it's not that its emabressing but it's just I don't want to feel like I', trying to make people feel sorry for me. But I have Hashimato Hypothyriodism and asthma. My brother as a result of this auto immune genetic disease got diabetis type 1. I don't think he understand how much I feel awful, I feel like I was the lucky one. Thanks for accepting me into the guild ^^

WOW! it's so nice to see new faces! I've kind of been off and on myself due to flareups and other conditions of the life. I hope to be here more often throughout the summer.

I'm Stephanie. I'm a 24 year old Canadian female living on Canada's lovely eastern coast.

I'm fortunate not to have anything especially awful myself. Asthma and Acid Reflux, neither too serious and fairly easy to control. I do have to get blood tests every year or two due to having family history of hypothyroidism, thyroid problems in general, and diabetes.

I joined the guild after the Alzheimer's Awareness "Wear the Purple" event. My grandmother on my father's side suffers from the disease. Until now it had been a very slow progression, almost like she doesn't have it. Would have been nice for it to stay that way.

I lost my grandparents on my mother's side to serious diseases, both different kinds of cancer. I lost an uncle I was close to due to severe coronary issues and diabetes. I lost a friend to Leukemia.

Three close friends of mine suffer from at least quasi debilitating disease/symptoms/odd quirks. One has Chrohn's and Irritable Bowel Disease, who before he had his intestine bisected often had to skip out on doing things he enjoyed. The second has severe headaches all the times (on a scale to one to ten he rates them fifteen) which they originally thought was due to hemochromatosis and now believe that he's making up, the third is 23 years old and has recently been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I am a firm supporter of higher disease awareness in general.

Hello I'm ShiShi...
I live in the US and Im 15...
My Grandfather has Alzheimer's and is in the later stages...
He also has Skin Cancer, Gout, and Arthritous (not sure on spelling) which doesn't help...My grandmother has post-polio and diabetes...
One of my uncles has a disease where he can't sweat on one side...
Another uncle had a heart attack and has symptoms of Alzhiemer's ....
My aunt has breast and ovarian cancer and was recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder...Another uncle suffers from depression and PTSD....
My mother was just diagnosed as a prediabetic and an early Alzhiemer's she also has hypothyroidism...
I recently had a friend who killed themselves.
One of my friends has scytsopherenia and several who suffer from depression.
My great aunt had a stroke and can now only say the words what and no...
her husband died over the summer from asbestos poisoning...
I myself don't really have a disease...though I think I might have depression...
And the greatest part is my entire family is either over reliant on doctors
or doesn't go at all...
they are also to ignorant to find something that is actually helpful to each other.
Well thanks for listening to my sob story and I wish all of you the best of luck...

==========
A very small degree of hope

I'm Venombabe (call me VB), and have had Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy for almost 10 years. I'm the first person in my family since one of my first ancestors had seizures (or rather, the first known in America. Lucky me). I've got a friend who has a blood clotting disorder and carries the gene for Hemophilia, and I've had to watch 3 grandparents die slow deaths from different diseases

I'm AirTVfan, you can all call me Air for short. My mom was diagnosed with MS.....oh....I'd say about 5 years ago now? But she thinks that she's had it for longer, since she's had symptoms that would come and go. I believe I have a relative that suffers from Parkinson's....though I'm not sure actually. I don't see him too often. I believe that some people in my family have sufferred from Alzheimer's...but I was pretty young when they died. Okay, well one died when I was 10, but I honestly can't think right now. My dad recently started medication for hypertension. Some people in my family also have diabetes. I'm asthmatic and I have high triglycerides, apparently. My uncle's nephew's wife recently died from cancer. I always forget her age, but she was pretty young. Early 30s I believe. My friend has muscle spasms and apparently muscular dystrophy runs in his family...he says he doesn't have it but I'm still scared s**t for him.

I know a lot of people with problems, it seems...... emo
