Wesley stared oddly at Ryu as he walked by him and up the stairs. "Follow me Fred." Wesley held onto her hand and lead her up the stairs.

Samantha seemed to shut the book and look up at him. "Hello, Demon." She asked looking at him and trying to see through whatever trick he had up his sleeves. She wasn't bothered by demons anymore, though they did get annoying.

He blinked slowly and frown as he stood straight. "Devil, sweetheart. Devil." He corrected her then snatched the book into his slender hands.
"Just the book I need." He mumbled to himself and moved down the stairs again. "Alright, c'mere my little Button." He glanced to Fred and reached for her.

"Well I beg for your forgiveness for my disgraceful name towards you, Mr. Devil." She would be polite....for now. She didn't know what that demon could do....

Fred clung to Wesley as she ascended the stairs, her legs wobbled under her and she stumbled at lest nine times. The jelly feeling in her knees was getting worse.
She shivered when the 'devil' touched her. She was close to the girl, she could feel it, and now a new threat had been added into the mix. Fear radiated off her in waves, but she tried to stand tall before the monster she could not see.
"W-what do you want?" her voice was shaking as she spoke, ruining what little brave facade she had tried.

"It's okay Fred he's going to help. I trust him." Wesley said looking at Ryu calmly. He continued to hold onto Fred as he waited for Ryu to work his magic.

He frowned again, violently turning a page in the book, while staring back at her. "Button dosen't recognize me..." He mumbled then looked to the letters before him.
Humming softly he began to chant and wave his other hand in front of the girl.
"Jenes das Entlassung sich besitzt." He tossed the book and snatched the demon as it sprang from the girl towards him, crushing the black creature in his hand.

"Fred." Wesley grabbed her shoulders and looked into her brown eyes. He smiled lightly. "See all fixed. Are you alright?" Wesley glanced at Ryu and still smiling. "Thank you. I owe you one."

The Devil tilted his head towards the ceiling, "Did it ever occur to you that you can't count past one?" He replied and glided back over to Samantha.
"So...how old are you Kit Kat?" He asked and smirked.

Fred felt her gut rench as the demon slipped out of her. She stood there for a moment listening to the others talk but not understanding a word they said. Her vision return to her in a dizzying wave and her legs gave out completely from under her.

Wesley caught Fred before she hit the floor. "Whoa. You alright?" He pulled her to him. "Come on lets sit you down." He picked her up and took her to the couch. He set her down and knelt in front of her.

Fred smiled up at Wesley from the couch, she reached her hand up and said very quietly, "Handsome man, saved me from the monster." before slipping into peaceful unconsciousness.

"Winifred." He whispered as he brushed her hair out of her face. "Your going to be okay." He smiled slightly. Wesley continued to play with her hair and then he stopped remembering she was with Gunn. "It's not not you place Wesley." He whispered to himself. "I'm going to be heading home. Thank you again Ryu. Samantha are you still coming with me?"

"If you'll still let me." Samantha wasn't so sure he wanted her to go....She was causing so much trouble. "I'm Seventeen." She stated looking at the devil. "How old are you?" She asked her own question now. Samantha looked at Fred. "F-Fred....do you still think I'm going to kill you?" She asked biting her bottom lip some. She didn't want Fred to hate her. If Fred hated her then that cause problems for Wesley.

"Fred's asleep." Wesley said. "But I am sure the answer is no." He smiled slightly. "I made you a promised didn't I? Of course I want to come." Wesley looked at her. "And no you don't cause trouble Samantha. None of this was your fault. It was some... Ryu what was that demon?"
